if I use Firefox Android rather than Chrome, can I still automatically have access to my Google Contacts and Google Calendar?

Chosen solution

They do, yes, through the Google account you have set on the device, but not through the Chrome browser. I do not use Chrome (as I prefer Firefox!), but I still have my contacts and calender syncced through a Google account.
