Messages that are threaded in Inbox separate when moved to different subfolders

I recently created a number of subfolders to better organize my Inbox but I realized that the messages in the new subfolders are no longer in threads. This makes it look more disorganized than before.

When I move these to my Inbox, the message gathers itself under a thread again. I already tried repairing the subfolder but that did not help.

Perhaps you might like to try sorting the folders in threaded view.

Enable the top menu bar (f10) if it is not visible. Select the view menu (alt+V) then the sort by menu item followed by Threaded.
