Firefox can ask for the master password for the Password Manager as this is a software security device. This can happen if you have stored a password for a website and use a master password. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Protecting+stored+passwords+using+a+master+password

I do not have any app or site passwords saved. I must have created a master password many months ago, and cannot retrieve it. I would like to use this security function offered by Firefox. How can I start over with a new master password. otherwise I will continue to use Lastpass and Chrome and not use firefox.

Please help, if there is a solution to create Master Password from beginning. I removed firefox and reinstalled, but that did not work. I suppose I could use it with a different email address and open a new account, but that is not desirable.

Thanks Jim
