My e-mail stopped downloading. It was working fine, I changed nothing, no error message. It accepts my password, cycles through it's process, then quits without downloading anything. Sending still seems to work.

We did relocate from home to my folks' in-between, but I've never had issues at their place before, and otherwise my connection to their wireless works fine.

When i attempt to retrieve my email I get the following message at the top of my screen, "The certificate for POP3.pangia.biz expired of 8/13/26. How do I renew it? My email address is jahoagy@signalpeak.net. Thank you John Hoagland.

Setting up Thunderbird for the first time so I can use Thunderbird as "aggregator" for all types of email (incl POP3) on both PC and android tablet. It is working for my Gmail account but not for my POP3 account with Roadrunner (aka Spectrum, aka Charter). The POP3 account is most important and I have 2 more addresses there that I also need to monitor. In the settings section for the roadrunner account there is a server test which seems to work but no email shows up in that account in Thunderbird. I am still getting new email directly in the Spectrum setup that I always use. Google AI thinks my setup should work. How should I proceed? Obviously contacting Spectrum is the easy answer but I thought maybe someone easier to contact would know a likely cause. Thanks

Hi, After recent Thunderbird update Shift + F5 nor Get new messages for all accounts IMAP doesn't work. I've synchronisation on. When I start Thunderbird it gets messages fine.

I can receive outlook e-mail but I cannot send from Thunderbird. I am asked for a password for the specific Microsoft server. I enter my Microsoft account password but this does not work. Security setting is STARTTLS withNormal Password authentification. My other Thunderbird non-MS e-mails are problem free.

I have version 153.02esr. Since two days ago I cannot reply or forward messages. It pulls up the appropriate page but there is no box to send, the space is just blank in the upper left hand corner.

My email provider is Thunderbird for my professional email address and I use Gmail everyday for receiving and sending my professional messages. However, Gmail will no longer support checking emails from third-party accounts through POP from my PC.

The option to 'Check emails from other accounts' will no longer be available in Gmail on computer. The solution that Google proposes is to set up automatic forwarding (web): To get new emails to appear automatically in my main Gmail inbox (like with POP fetching), set up automatic forwarding with your other email provider (Thunderbird). 

Can you help me with the different steps  in both Thunderbird and Gmail settings to make it work? Alternatively, is there another way to still have access to my professional emails through Gmail? Maybe through Gmail app for computer that uses IMAP instead?

For your information: My Thunderbird server settings shows:  Server type: POP Mail Server Server name: pop3.mycompany.com Username: xxx@mycompany.com (my professional email address) Port 995 Thunderbird has been updated and is currently running on version 153.0.3. My computer is running on Windows 10

After returning from a 6 day vacation, my wife attempted to download email from her Yahoo email account. There are nearly 200 messages that have piled up but they aren't moving. I've uninstalled and re-installed TB. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app password in Yahoo. There is no problem with accessing the email via any web browser. I spent 49 minutes on a tech support call with Yahoo and they have said the problem is with TB because they repeated the same steps I have. I checked firewall settings and the only antivirus program on the computer is Malware Bytes and it's not running in the background. The version of TB is the most recent as of yesterday. I don't see any sketchy looking emails in the web version of Yahoo Mail when it's opened. It's set up as a POP3 account and has been since Cox Internet gave their email over to Yahoo. I'd appreciate any assistance in resolving this because it's currently above my pay grade and tech support at Yahoo.

Orange obliged me to have a new password to have an access to my mails , sending and receiving . But it does not work , and now I can only use Orange .What can I do ?

Account settings attached. I don't have an active firewall. My email provider is microsoft (outlook) No antivirus installed Linux Mint 22.3 x86_64 Thunderbird 153.0esr

I have confirmed with microsoft support that the ports and such are correct, they claim thunderbird is the problem.
