Is there some way that I can nullify the format changes in the v128.x message list, compared to v115.x, so that my UserChrome.css tweaks that are functioning well in v115.x are not broken? Perhaps there are some new Config flags that might be set? I hate to have to redo a bunch of carefully calibrated work.

Sample of v115.15.0 message list included; I uninstalled v128, so I can't easily show a sample of that.

I tried to send an email and got a message saying "The message could not be sent because connections to Outgoing server (SMTP) pop3.gmail,com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify your Outgoing server(SMTP) are correct and try again". I checked and they seem right but I cannot even send an email from one account to the other. The same message appears and I don't believe anything has been changed, aside from adding another address, that I know of.

I'm getting these notifications multiple times a day. It serves no useful purpose, there is no way to stop them, that I can see and no way to universally shut off this type of notification. Please help!

Some of my older emails, which were in HTML, now appear as text with full headers and formatting data, making them unreadable. How do I convert them back to HTML?

Thunderbird 128.2.0esr (32-bit)

My Thunderbird stopped downloading new email messages on August 22 (but is still able to send). Microsoft says that Thunderbird is not comptatible with Windows 10, but it worked fine before the update. Is there now a compatibility issue?

New up date Thunderbird 115.13.0 (64-bit) has completely removed all my local folders and my address book this is devastating with a complete loss of all this information is there a way of getting this back. I have used Thunderbird for many years and trusted it completely have never had any problem please help my system is Linux mint Linux Mint 21.3

My PEC mail sends me this error:

Sending username failed. The mail server mail.postecert.it responded: unsupported SASL authentication method

Can this be solved? Thanks

Just downloaded 102.2.2 (64-bit). Restarted and there are no previous emails or folders and it is not downloading any new emails.Help.

Hello, I have recently added an email account to Thunderbird. This is a Microsoft Exchange account. The filing tree within this account has not been imported to Thunderbird (at least not visibly) and I cannot find how to address this. The option to Subscribe folders does not appear to be available. Any assistance would be gratefully received. Thank You, Martin.

When setting up for authorization in sending email from Windows Live account, the Oauth2 option (as seen in the guide) is not available to select ? See Picture

9-4-2024--For months the filters for my messages have not ALL worked right. Some of the older ones may work. The new filters disappear. I'm thinking it is because the Create Filter page does not display all the way to the bottom of the page so I can see and click ok to save it. Please fix this so the Create Filter page will RESIZE so I can save the filters I create. Mozilla Thunderbird programmers--Can't you write a program better than this?? Why can't you fix a problem that has been there for months maybe a year? Whatever is causing the problem please fix it.

My wife's Thunderbird application seems stalled . All I can see is the blue rotating circle. No emails after August 30 2022 will download . And the upper left hand corner has a period that is continually moving right to left and back again. She set up the email yesterday because her android phone was easier to use (Har, har). Gmails server apparently downloaded 13, 598 emails yesterday (8-30) and hasn't downloaded any since that date.. What's going on. She's attempting to renew her Green card and I'm more that a little concerned.

Already a voluntary donor and satisfied Thunderbird user then I suddenly lost many of my folders and could not recover them, asked for support but got none; nobody interested! As a non-techy older person I expect help when necessary so this has been a sobering event, making me question my continued presence here; very disappointed. John

Thunderbird is so slow, especially when deleting emails. This has been happening for a month or so. It got better last week, it seemed normal, but it's back to being infuriatingly slow to delete messages. My workflow is very disrupted. Any solutions? I need my time back!

What will happen if I reconnect Thunderbird to my email account after being disconnected for almost 2 years?

I had to switch ESP's a couple years ago and have been using their web based email platform since, but a recent outage made me realize I should have on off-line platform again, and I really liked Thunderbird.

When I reconnect, will all the emails from the new ESP download to the inbox on Thunderbird all at once?

if tb checks emails, they're not downloaded & i keep receiving sound pretending there's email.. until i click on "Get messages" button.

if ur having a nap or sleeping at night, it's harassment, forcing ppl to wake up.

This should be fixed as a bug of Tb.

Message filters not working after transfer to new windows device. (Apologies for long report below). Problem is similar to that reported and still unsolved here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1391209

All old messages automatically accessed under IMAP protocol sit within correct email folder on new device.

Message filters rules successfully located on old device, copied and placed in corresponding windows folder on new device. Email folder structure looks identical on both devices.

New messages sit in inbox on new device, without being filtered. Instead error messages appear, repeatedly.

"The folder 'xxxx' could not be found, so filter(s) associated with this folder will be disabled. Verify that the folder exists, and that filters point to a valid destination folder.

The folder 'yyyy' could not be found, so filter(s) associated with this folder will be disabled. Verify that the folder exists, and that filters point to a valid destination folder.

If same new messages are accessed on old device, they later appear in correct folder on new device, and no longer sit in inbox

How to make email folder structure on new device visible to filter rules there ? This is necessary for filtered email to work successfully on new device, without requiring old device to be operational - it will be taken out of service in near future.
