Okay, so how to be simple. I kept getting a pop-up from Comcast about a latest promotion and it wouldn't go away. I spoke to Comcast about their ridiculous pop-up promotion, it was coming through my Thunderbird email client. That may be taken care of. But in the meantime I tried to delete my main Thunderbird account, I must have done so and now I can't get it back! I've tried everything! I was using an IMAP account, and for my incoming I had imap.comcast.net. For my outgoing I had stmp.comcast.net and the ports were 993 and 587 I believe. Please don't quote me on this. So when I try to create a new email account using the same information I keep getting an "Authorization Error" each and every time!

So....since and while writing this email, the Comcast pop-up continues to pop up, and I still cannot reset my email account. Talk about a frustration level at this point! I would like to keep my Thunderbird email account minus the stupid Comcast pop-up. I just don't know what to do. Please help from anyone who can!

The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.twc.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

Hi. Since the last 2 updates, my Bell sympatico email through T-bird cannot SEND anymore emails (No errors are given but the email never comes through). I can receive emails without issue and when I use another tool (like Outlook or go directly through my browser, the sympatico emails come through) I attached the settings for the SMTP in a screenshot if that could help.

Any idea how to fix this?

Everything working just fine last night. Wake up and Thunderbird will not retrieve emails.

Remembered this old message I got so I went through and deleted my second email address, didn't help.

Checked all settings compared to Yahoo, still won't download messages. I can even send a message with my current settings no problem, and it does login, just won't retrieve emails. Gives me a connection timeout.

Anyone have any ideas?

One of my email accounts will not connect. It was working but has not connected for two days. The message says log in failed for X@yahoo.com.

I am trying to find a program that allows me to use all the features of iCloud Mail on my Windows 11 OS . Is Thunderbird compatible with iCloud Mail ? I tired installing and using Thunderbird but it seemed that some of my sent emails were not delivered. So I uninstalled Thunderbird.

in den Ordnern veschwinden die mails, kommen schon mal wieder und sind dann auch mal weg.. Betrifft nur emailadresse arcor. quasi abruf bei vodafone. port und so sind richtig eingestellt. habe auch deinstaliert und neu aufgespielt keine änderung. die konten über gmail laufen ganz normal. finde den fehler nicht.

It's been almost a week now, and my 2 Microsoft email accounts will not connect to Thunderbird anymore. All was fine for years, but something changed that I can't figure out!?! I have gone to my Microsoft email server and checked that my passwords still work. I even updated one and it works on Microsoft server but not Thunderbird's!?!? I even deleted one email account from Thunder bird to re-install it, but when I tried a fresh re-install Thunderbird still won't connect to Microsoft server??? I'm at my wits end, and may abandon Thunderbird completely if someone there doesn't help me connect!!!
