I've been using Mozilla for POP emails for a long time. I have a bunch of older emails in folders where the meta data shows up (date, subject, recipient, etc...) but when I click into the email all I get is a blank page (no body of the email). Any ideas? Is there some kind of "scan and fix data" utility maybe somewhere? I'll attach a couple of pics so you can see what I'm referring to---please let me know if you need to see anything else.

Please advise - after hours with Spectrum they said my issue is with Thunderbird, (version 115.8). Mac OS 12.7.2 A few days ago, emails stopped SENDING. SMTP previously port 25; have tried 587 and 465 at their suggestion. Now after Spectrum "worked coding script that only correct the settings and fixes any bugs on the email server", I cannot RECEIVE either. Incoming email POP mail server: mail.twc.com Please give me correct server settings and SMTP settings for outgoing email, to input on my account settings tab

This is my very first post to a support community so please excuse me for any rookie mistakes and oversights.

T.B. 115.8.0 (64-bit) Windows 10 - IMAP settings with multiple domains and multiple accounts on each.

Problem/Issue: Most searches return the expected results, but in certain cases, and seems to affect mostly the sub directories in Local Folder (have not been able to replicate problems in strings found elsewhere).

Things I have already done: - Rebooted PC - Compacted the folder where the email resides - Repaired such folder - Confirmed that Global search is clicked for such folder - Opened the email to confirm that it does open and is valid (Remember that it's in Local folders so already downloaded)

E.g. Global search string "Re: New Project 25-301-623 needed into Swahili - word count 321" (which does exists in Local Folders) does not produce any results but (Deleted first character of the string) "e: New Project 25-301-623 needed into Swahili - word count 321" produced results for "New Project 25-301-623 needed into Swahili - word count 321" without the results for "Re:...". Additionally, no filters are displayed such as Location, People, etc. (Running the same search within the folder where it resides works fine.) Cutting down the string to only "Re: New Project 25-301-623" still does not find any results. Global search for string "Payable Summary for: August 2022", which resides in the same folder tested is found but no filter data available for Location, People, etc. However a search for "Project delivery for Job: 25-258-813" again residing in the same folder is found with Location, Account and People. I've tested same approach and tests on different folders to rule out Folder specific problems and behavior is the same problem.

Another example that might help in figuring things out. I tested a string of an email subject from an amazon order, which are long in nature do to # dashes, long numbers, etc. Performed a global search and the email was found but no Filters shown. Did the same search removing the end of the string "has shipped" and the email was found once again but with all Filters showing.

I hope I have been thorough enough. If any additional information is needed please let me know.

Hi, My problem looks a bit like this one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1434453 except it's for Yahoo.com AND I don't have any syncing between yahoo calendar AFAIK. This popup asking for my credentials to log into my account appears randomly and repeatedly apparently. I deleted all my yahoo account in Thunderbird.

How can I know where does this popup come from?

I have been dealing with amazon.com for many years with successful fulfillment of my orders. But, I never get any emails of acknowledgement or delivery. Recently they added a verification code which they send via email, which I do not get, and so I am forever locked out of the site. What can I do to get their transmissions ?

Hello, I'm running 115.6.0 (64-bit) on Ubuntu Studio 20.04.6 LTS (Xfce, if that's important ?)

Because I have 10 (IMAP) accounts configured I normally run in "Unified Folders" mode and I was therefore in this mode when I upgraded.

If I select View | Folders | "All Folders" I get a tick-mark but if I then click somewhere else on the screen and go back the only tick is against "Unified Folders".

If I select "Recent Folders" , "Unread Folders", or "Favorite Folders" they are displayed and stay displayed.

I have tried deleting the various files in the Mail directory suggested by other solutions but they don't make a difference. I think I don't have a problem getting "Unified Folders" - I have the problem of NOT using "Unified Folders". . .

Any ideas ?

PS: Non of my IMAP accounts allow me to select a folder for "Sent"; "Archives"; "Drafts" or "Templates" in the "Copies & Folders" section. - The field is either "NO available folders" or is empty and has no drop-down list available.

A completely fresh install of TB on Win 11 (on new machine - TB has not been installed on that machine before). I use "set up your existing email adress" and enter my values for my gmail account. It says "Configuration found in Mozilla ISP database". I Press "Done" and it immediately comes up with the error message "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password.". I never get a pop-up allowing sign-in to Google.

On my old machine, having an older TB, I was connected to my gmail account (using OAuth authentication), so it is not a question of settings on the account. I have looked at all the suggestions I found by googling the problem and both cookies and JavaScript are enabled (I have literally not touched any settings, I attempt to set up this account on the first open of TB). In all the accounts i found from people having similar issues with TB and gmail, people are at least getting the google sign-in window/pop-up, but I am not even getting that.

Hello I have noticed that global Thunderbird search (Ctlr+K) does not index email subjects. So, if I search for keyword which is present only in email subject and not in email body, then search does not return result. If I'm in correct folder and use quick search (Ctrl+Shift+K) with search by subject enabled then it find this email.

Is there any way to search globally by keywords in subject?

My wife has set up her iCloud account in Thunderbird. Receiving mails works properly When sending mails they go to the "Sent" folder, but never reach the addressed person. Very weird! I have never experienced before, that mails seem to have been sent, but did not go through without any warning.

Mails from the "Sent" folder can be successfully forwarded to the recipient

My Thunderbird has updated and it's three days now I see the message, that logging in to server pop3.poczta.onet.pl has failed. The server responded with: "[AUTH] Authentication failed". No difficulties with getting to my mail on the website though. I tried some things you suggest (eg changing tls) but it didn't help. What can I do? Can I return to the Thunderbird version from before the last update?

Below is the message that I receive. I am not savvy with the technical side of computers, so would appreciate any input.

I have had a computer repair person look at the issue and he has stated the following which I do not really understand:

Its NOT thunderbird. Its Optus. If you log into webmail you will find they wont be there either if they’re not in thunderbird. You have 3 ways of getting your mail. Thunderbird, the new one eMclient and webmail. If the mail doesn’t arrive in webmail you wont receive it anywhere else. You need to speak to Optus. They are obviously having problems with their mail servers.

When adding a new Gmail account to Thunderbird, a popup Window appears prompting me to authorize Thunderbird to access my Google account. When I click Authorize, I get a Secure connection error SSL_ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR_ALERT. The URL at the top of the popup window begins with https://localhost?code=... In Thunderbird, cookies and Javascript are enabled. Previously, Gmail account have been correctly configured.

Hi, I use Thunderbird on my pc (Windows 10) with two email addresses. The first email address appears normally on-screen with 'inbox / drafts / sent / spam / deleted' all as separate folders, but for some reason the other address appears with 'inbox' as a folder and then 'drafts / sent / spam / deleted' as subfolders to the inbox folder? (See attached screenshot)

This folder set-up for the second email address only appears this way on Thunderbird - not on the host site, nor on any of the other email apps I use.
