hello I left account A (Google) and I am mainly using account B (Google) now. However, when I search for the mail of account A, it only shows the result, but after clicking it, it shows that there is no mail. How can I recover it? This is because the most important mail is in account A. PLEASE HELP ME....

Hello, I've installed Thunderbolt and added my Outlook account. However, none of the folders I created in Outlook have been copied over. Only the standard built-in folders e.g inbox, junk, sent etc were setup in Thunderbolt with all the mail from the other folders in the inbox. This is not very helpful.

How do I set up the Thunderbolt account so that the folders (and contents) are matched with the folders (and contents) in Outlook? Thanks

I have updated my password on my IMAP server. I cannot find where to enter the new password on the server settings. There used to be a box for this. It asked once when I logged in but dosnt ask again.

This must be one of the most basic settings that needs occasional updating but no clear location where to do it?

Its now made thunderbird un useable and have migrated across to outlook where you just type in the new password.

After changing from POP to IMAP to fix the earlier delivery problem, I have lost the existing file structure, filters, etc. Comcast email is coming in fine but there are only 6 folders while there should be 47 and all the filters s are gone. I have tried rebuilding the current global-messages-db.sqlite file but it stops after 12 hours and was only 10% finished at 2 GB instead of the prior anticipated 16 GB. These are the Profile directories: 04/28/2025 12:53 AM 26,073 MB 3249x1co.default-esr-3 04/27/2025 11:30 PM 358,524 MB 6rvpjum0.default-esr-2 11/21/2024 09:29 PM 249,883 MB 6rvpjum0.default-esr-2_sav 11/21/2024 09:29 PM 6.3 MB dvldbfwi.default-release

Hello, I have a new computer with windows 11 and set up thunderbird. I use Firefox as browser and tested some settings, dark and light modes. I finally set up 4 different accounts with different domain names, I tried some settings to have the same display with on my other computer with Windows 10. I played with some setting and now can"t bring back light mode. I,m more of a computer user not a wiz. same this happened on the Firefoz browser with boxes around each bookmarks toolbar ans tabs. Any suggestions? Thnak you,

I have searched this and found others have had this problem off and on since 2019 or before.

I have not found a useful solution.

So, what changed?

Why?

How to return to the previous functionality which was just fine for my needs?

Hello, I installed Thunderbird and I added my account to it but I found the sent folder, Drafts and trash moved under local folder . I tried to drag and drop it back under the main account and inbox folder but it is not doable. please let me know how can I do restructure for the folders to be as default.

I'm new to Thunderbird and I'm no longer tech savvy - ugh. Eventually, I want to delete my accounts with gmail and outlook. I've discovered in trying to bridge thunderbird to my network/router? (i think that's what's going on), my network/router is connected to my gmail account. I haven't figured out how to change that or if I should. But when I try to sign into thunderbird email, it asks me to sign in with my gmail account. I have an apple email account and trying to get that to be my sign in with thunderbird NOT gmail. Is it possible to sign in with apple account and if so what steps (please in very simple instructions) do I need to take to get the sign in to ask me to sign in with my apple account? Do I need to change my network/router (of which I haven't figured out how to do and if I can get around that I would love that) somehow to the apple account? help.... Running version 128.10.1esr. This version and the two previous mark 50% of incoming emails as ***SPAM*** and put in Junk folder. Turned off SpamAssasin. Marked all as not junk. Added all addresses to address books. Nothing fixes this problem. There is no way to contact Mozilla directly for a solution so I am posting here. No, this is not email coming from a third party account like Gmail. No, it's not inheriting spam designations from another server. This is broken junk settings on the previous two versions of Thunderbird. Mozilla, please fix this.

I installed Thunderbird 138.0 a couple of months ago and was really pleased with its reliability and simplicity. About a month ago, it stopped retrieving emails from our local ISP. After a few very frustrating days of trying to fix the problem myself, I contacted our ISP. They told me that everything on their end was fine, but that I should probably change my password, just in case. I did that and Thunderbird started to work again as usual. About a week later it stopped again and nothing I try fixes it. I can't keep going to my ISP to change my password. The same thing is happening to Thunderbird on my Android phone, except every once in a while, it downloads 20 or so emails, then days of nothing. Its intensely frustrating! Your insight and help would really be appreciated. Thanks, Audrey

LOGIN FAILED ERROR MESSAGE DRIVING ME CRAZY! At LEAST 100 times I get the same gray pop-up error message which I've attached. I will type it here as well

Login to server pop.earthlink.net with username professor[hidden for privacy]@earthlink.net failed.

Retry - Enter New Password - Cancel are the choices presented.

Obviously my primary email server is Earthlink Webmail, which in turn I redirect to use Thunderbird as my mail reading and filing system for my messages. Webmail is simply too cumbersome for daily use. No matter.

I have two email accounts with Webmail, both redirected to TB. I use a particular password for the Webmail server, which in turn I needed to set up a flow-thru account to TB. No problems there for the past 10 years or so.

Suddenly beginning last week, these infernal gray box error messages began appearing throughout the day. Now they popup every 2 or 3 minutes!

I have double and triple checked my Webmail passwords to insure they are correct. I have also attempted on NUMEROUS occasions to use the optional tab ENTER NEW PASSWORD, into which I have typed the password again. I check the box that asks "Use Password Manager to remember this password." in hopes that TB will somehow remember the correct PW. No Luck whatsoever.

To prove my point, during the time it has taken me to type this message, the popup has appeared no less than 6 times thus far, and I am not even finished with my question.

Actually - opps, there it is again - I am finished with the question. What I am desperately seeking is how to disable this damned error message once and for all, or to input whatever information it needs to simply disappear.

Thanks to you all for putting up with my frustration. I only hope it doesn't happen to you, 'cause it will drive you NUTS!
