Email that I am sending from Thunderbird is being rejected for no apparent reason by the recipient server. This is not due to an ISP or sending server security issue since, when I send exactly the same email from my ISP email web page (not Thunderbird) the email is received properly and accepted without error. So, the problem is most definitely with Thunderbird. The following is the header text from one of the rejection replies.

Hi everyone! Apologies upfront in case this question has already been asked, but I'm struggling to see if something similar was already posted... In a nutshell: I delete messages in my inbox (or any other folder) in Thunderbird, but when I login to the website of my mail provider (gmx.net) or check the app on my phone, I still see these mails on the imap server. Is this a known issue? What could be the reason?

My grandmother on this account keeps receiving a enter primary password alert on her Thunderbird / Bigpond account. We've tried everything and when following the prompts to reset (tools > developer tools > etc) it won't come up with the evaluate button or reset button. We've tried the online sources but no success and she can't access her emails on her desktop. Please let me know what we can do !

I have recently set up and started using Thunderbird with all four of my email accounts. However, when composing an email in the "To" field, I find myself having to manually enter the full email addresses of recipients. Is there a way to access my address book from the imported emails to streamline this process?

Over the past two weeks Thunderbird has been constantly stopping without any notification, just goes to sleep and will not wake up. Have to restart the app to get it working, works for a while, then goes back to sleep. Really, really a pain. I am considering something else if this keeps up, every time I restart it windows takes information about the problem but does nothing to fix it. If you're going to beg for money, maybe you should make it work first?

Thunderbird will not open. the error message is: "Thunderbird is already running, but is not responding. The old Thunderbird process must be closed to open a new window." Pressed the "Close Thunderbird" button, but no response. Checked Task Manager and ended the Thunderbird application...still no change. I have faced with the following bug linked to messages displaying in thread in any section of Thunderbird (i.e., Incoming messages). See the screenshot - there is just thin white stripe instead of text of the message. This bug repeats only for some random messages. Restart of Thunderbird resolves this bug temporarily.

I don't recall this being an issue before but now with Thunderbird when deleting multiple messages, TB freezes with the "not responding" message. The more messages, the longer the delay.

By using Shift Delete, and bypassing the trash folder it is instantaneous. Other than that, is there any other solution?

I tried to update Mozilla Thunderbird to 115.5.0. Now I can not receive emails on my computer. The message I received said, Error: Platform version 115.4.0 is not compatible with version 115.5.0. Hi, I just got a new laptop and downloaded thunderbird. On the new computer, Thunderbird is slow to the point where I cannot use it. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, played with settings, and nothing seems to do the trick. I use a screen reader (JAWS) because I am blind but I've never had any issues with it before. It will work fine for a few minutes and then the slowness will begin. Any ideas how to resolve this?
