I have two old IMAP email accounts that have been deactivated by the respective providers. I had the folders for both accounts set for local synchronization and had disabled mail fetching. The upshot of this, is that the old email messages were available in Thunderbird for search and reference when necessary. Thunderbird didn't try to access the server anymore and I could look through the contents of these old accounts when needed.
Last week my system automatically upgraded to 78 (given how much this upgrade broke, I really don't think it should have been an automatic upgrade). Now the accounts show an inbox folder but all of the old email is gone. If I go to my profile directory I can open the MSF file and see the old email so it's not entirely "gone" but it's no longer accessible in Thunderbird.
Is there a way to force Thunderbird to reindex these MSF files so that I can access the contents as I used to? Digging through MSF files manually isn't particularly convenient. Note: The original accounts are gone. Connecting to the IMAP servers that used to host them is NOT an option.
