I have lost the possibility use Finnish dictionary for spell checking after Thunderbird upgrade to version 60.3.1. How could i revert to older version and prevent automatic updates?

Yesterday Thunderbird upgraded itself to a version which will no longer run Lightning. For me, this is a crisis as I need access to my calendar. Please don't suggest I get a working copy of Lightning and install it, as apparently no such thing exists.

How do I roll-back to the previous working version? I am running Ubuntu 16.04. I have no idea what the last working version of Thunderbird was but my current (broken) version is 60.2.1.

I can't download Thunderbird (specifically for windows 10 64 bit) from the Mozilla website because The Mozilla website only provides website options for my current user agent. I appreciate Mozilla preventing stupid people from downloading an application that won't work on their UE, but smart people would like a nice website with links to download the version they want.

I don't feel like spoofing a windows 10 browser request just to download the version I want.

I have been using an old version of Thunderbird on my old, pre-Intel chip Mac desktop machine (vintage 2004) for many years. I am trying to transfer all of my internet-related business to my slightly newer Macbook Pro (vintage 2008, running OS 10.6.8). Firefox is running fine on that machine (admittedly not the latest version, but a perfectly workable one for me); but when I tried to install Thunderbird, Mozilla told me that I could not do it at all. Is there a way to still get earlier versions of Thunderbird from a very trustworthy source? (I searched "older versions of Thunderbird" and came up with some places called oldapps.com and oldversions.com -- not sure I would want to get something from a site I know nothing about!).

I am resistant to the idea that I just need to dump my older machines (it's against my religion -- this constant updating and buying new machines and trashing the old ones is just one way we are trashing our soon-to-be-uninhabitable planet). Although Firefox on my G4 processor desktop was getting too old and creaky to work with, Thunderbird was working for me just fine (no problems in all the many years I've used it), and I am not willing to believe that an older version that would work on OS 10.6 wouldn't work just as well. All I need is a way to get to the latest version that is compatible with 10.6!

I came across a site "mozdev.org" that gives instructions as to how to download a file called "mailtweak-0.16.xpi" Firefox will not allow me to download it and I cannot find it in the list of Firefox add-ons.

Cannot find the Portable version to download.. I have an old copy, and use it, and upgrade it, but cannot find the original. The Old version was in English - then it upgraded and use my Computer seleceted language, without asking me. Now I want to install the original and cannot find it.

My old desktop PC video & audio died, so I installed the C drive into a new desktop PC as the 'F' drive. How can I copy my previous TBird email & addresses from the F drive to the new TBird location on the C drive? btw - I'm surprised that the fix for this common occurence isn't already in the on-line troubleshooting info.

I am trying to import a .csv file saved from a spreadsheet as a new address book. It has only 3 fiels, Name Number and email address. It all works up to the point where I click on Finish. The resultant file does not contain the data which shows correctly when I step through the import process. It seems to collect whatever is in front of the @ symbol in the email field and put it into the Name field and nothing appears in the Number field, although the email field appears to transfer correctly.

Thunderbird 52.9.1 (32-bit) Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Exported vcf contact files not imported by phone.

Running TB 60.5.0 - requested update to 60.5.1 Says "downloading update" then "update failed". None of the listed issues such as multiple users, etc. apply. Do not want to download a completely new version and have to go through the complex setting-up process. OS is MAC OS 10.10.5. Never had an problems previously with any updates. Thanks,

Verizon sold its e-mail business to AOL, nothing but problems since when trying to send/receive e-mail using Apple Mail. What other e-mail app will run on 10.6.8? Can't upgrade the OS because of processor limitations. Thank you.

My previous emails were all in Local Folders, including many sub-folders that I've created.

Today I've migrated all our company email to Google Suites.

I had to create a new account on Thunderbird.

I would like to change my Local Folders so that it uses the new email settings, so I can stay within Local Folders. Is this possible?

I have installed thunderbird, but the sub folders in my webmail are not downloading into the thunderbird application. Thunderbird automatically did imap when I added my accounts. I have no idea what the problem could be. Thank you for your help.

I seem to be able to Export my storage folders from eM client to my hard-drive in Becky format. Explorer shows a main folder and 80 sub-folders all containing quantities of e-mails. Thunderbird Imports the main folder and all the sub-folders but none of the actual e-mails. As a one day user, I managed successfully and easily to load three e-mail accounts but transferring my essential stored e-mail has proved impossible so far. I was able to transfer my contacts successfully but not my distribution lists. Any suggestions on how to do this from eM client to Thunderbird would be appreciated.

Following re-installation of Windows 10 and reinstalling Thunderbird I find that my extensive address book is gone both on my desktop computer and laptop. How can I get it back?

Just starting out with Thunderbird - downloaded 60.5.0 onto Windows 7 Home Premium laptop. Trying to configure a new GMail account using the default setup. Information fills in, then attempts to check password. Message "configuration could not be verified" then appears. Account email address and password work OK on GMail web version. Not sure what to check next.

I opened my TBird account tonight and to my shock, there was nothing there. Please see screenshot #1.

I filled in my email and password and my account did open but it was all stripped. Every extension was gone. All settings I had, gone. My folders appear to all be there but it's hard to tell.

Why would this happen?

I do have a backup of the profile folder, but I don't know how to use that to get my stuff back.

I would appreciate some help with this, please.
