How to Flag Email as NOT SPAM?

There are two "bad email" files in Thunderbird: JUNK and SPAM. I'm still not clear on the difference. For JUNK mail, TB gives us the option to select "NOT JUNK". Good.… (читать ещё)

There are two "bad email" files in Thunderbird: JUNK and SPAM. I'm still not clear on the difference.

For JUNK mail, TB gives us the option to select "NOT JUNK". Good.

But for SPAM, I cannot find the option "NOT SPAM"

1) Why are there separate SPAM and JUNK directories? And why are they managed differently? This seems terribly non-intuitive and inconsistent and just strange.

2) How can I train SPAM filter to not flag good email from trusted senders? For instance, I get email from my wife many times a day for many years. Today, TB put her email into SPAM. Isn't there a simple command to "white list" a sender's email address?

V 115.9.0 (32-bit) Good day, I have K9 as my mail client on my Android phone. In K9 there is the possibility to display all incoming mails of my different IMAP accounts in one folder (Common inbox). Is it possible to set up such a folder in Supernova? Thanks for detailed instructions Stefan

Hi, Excuse my poor English (I am French). Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon (64), Thunderbird 115.9.0 (64) no added module - Installation from the Mint list of software. My problem : regardless of the provider (Proton, Gmail, Outlook, GMX - in IMAP), the message menu bar (see <https://support.mozilla.org/fr/kb/personnaliser-la-liste-des -messages#thunderbird:linux:tb115>) does not appear. How to make it reappear ? I think I have tried all the configuration menus and possible right clicks within Thunderbird ; I haven't found anything on the Net ; starting in safe mode did not change anything. I come from Windows 10 where I didn't have this problem. Thanks in advance for your help

Is there a way to change the sort view (of all folders) to 'unthreaded' as default instead of the current default being 'threaded'. (See attached image)

Since the last update, I have to manually change the view to 'unthreaded' for each folder each time I restart Thunderbird. Very cumbersome.

Perhaps somewhere in the Config Editor?

I would like to see the sender's email address in lieu of a name.

The inbox SELECT COLUMNS TO DISPLAY does not offer an option to DISPLAY THE SENDER’S EMAIL ADDRESS.

Both From and Correspondents display the same names. Perhaps replacing one of those with the SENDER’S EMAIL ADDRESS?

Hi, I am new to Thunderbird and not very computer savvy.

I have successfully set up my mail account and am trying to apply filters to incoming mail. The filter is very simple: If the message contains FROM "@mail.zillow.com" send the message to the ZILLOW folder (under that email address).

I have checked the filter log and it says "could not get filter db". I have tried to run the filter manually - no go.

I have tried to read about others who have a similar issue and it talks about debugging. I'm sorry. I do not know how to do this.

This is Thunderbird 102.3.3. running under OSX 11.7. Regarding my age and gradual loss of sight I would like to (permanently) enlarge/zoom the main window of thunderbird, which opens up upon invoking the program. I managed to zoom the messages in the message window by hitting cmd + but this does not work for the main window. Could not find a solution/hint despite quite some search. Thanks for your help. The new UI has this massive customizable toolbar at the top of the screen, it wastes a lot of space and doesn't look good compared to the old UI, you can fully customize it even leaving it blank but that does not remove it entirely and it looks off with just a blank nothing up there, where is the option to completely remove this new toolbar?

Is there some way I can change the order in which email accounts are presented in the left panel on Thunderbird (91.9.0 (64-bit))? Perhaps a config file within the profile?

I note that in the preferences/settings, you can activate the account with the mouse, but you can't drag/drop to change order (maybe a useful feature to have?).

Font size of composed messages

I am running Thunderbird 102.2.0 64-bit. I am unable to increase the default font size. I can increase it by selecting text and clicking the "Large Font Size" button, but… (читать ещё)

I am running Thunderbird 102.2.0 64-bit. I am unable to increase the default font size. I can increase it by selecting text and clicking the "Large Font Size" button, but it is annoying to have to do that every time I compose a message. The instructions I have for changing the default font size are:

Tools > Account Settings > Composition & Addressing > Check Compose messages in HTML format > Global Composing Preferences > General > Language & Appearance > Set default font

It doesn't work for me. Is there an alternate method?

I am very happy with Thunderbird and would prefer not to switch to another program.

I just got myself a new computer and then this problem occurred... The threads come up in my emails and I do NOT want that to happen. It makes the overview of the emails unclear and very confusing. And I do not see clearly if I have read them or not.

I have searched and searched a lot online to find out... but have not succeeded. (my son also tried..)

So I am wondering how I can have the emails coming up one by one (like before), without having the threads..?

The screenshot shows how the email come up for me in Thunderbird, I would like them to come "one by one" without the threads..

Would appreciate your reply!

I hope someone can help me. Up until the last week or so, I have had no problem with my signature file in outgoing email. I've been using the same signature file for at least 5 years. Suddenly, Thunderbird is blocking my logo image in my signature file in all outgoing mail. Instead, it is showing my alternate text. I am using version 102.6.1 on Windows 10
