My existing email provider (iiNet) here in Australia is no longer offering an email service. I have been recommended (by iiNet) to transfer to a company called 'The Messaging Company'. Already I have had an issue with the Messaging Company on account of their poor customer service. I note that Thunderbird has a Global Inbox. Does this mean that you are able to offer me an email service that will allow me to keep my current email address?: brucepitt@iinet.net.au If you are able to help, an estimate of the cost for this service would be appreciated. Trying to use Thunderbird to connect to my hotmail account but get an error message that says I can't log into "server" due to the prefs or login details are wrong. Have tried to search around for answers but can't see that anything is wrong. Any idea what to do? Use windows 10 professional.

Hello, my Cox email account was migrated to Yahoo mail. I can receive emails but now I can't send emails from Thunderbird. I've triple checked server settings. Please help. Thanks-Vince

This is the message I get and it does this with all email addresses.

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Request failed; Mailbox unavailable. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

My wife is an ardent and long-time Thunderbird user. She has tens of thousands of old emails organized into dozens of folders. Recently she noted that many folders contained scrambled emails. For example, an email titled "The race to re-design sugar" from Sept. 2020 now contained what looked like content from an email from Office Depot. See below for a short piece of the body of the email. Anyway, I ran Thunderbird's "repair folder" function and not only did it not unscramble the emails, it also seems to have deleted any emails prior to 6 months ago. Fortunately I've got her T-Bird profile file backed up daily, so was able to restore the original (but scrambled) emails. Any thoughts? I use outlook, but I've got pretty good PC skills if you need to take me into the weeds. Thanks!

In Thunderbird I'm wondering why when I flag an email red as 'spam' (and delete it) it doesn't automatically block the email address from repeated future spam attempts?

Hi I am having problems with Thunderbird, i’m not sure if it’s to do with a windows 11 update or something else. Thunderbird is not responding also at the start of the ‘not responding’ emails from one of my accounts disappeared and then gradually started to reappear but didn’t get up to date and now just not responding st all. I have tried various things to resolve this, uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird, doing this and opening my pc in safe mode, doing this and opening Thunderbird in safe mode. Deleting and reinstalling the latest windows 11 update, reinstalling the latest Thunderbird update. I don’t know what to try next? I read somewhere to delete your profile, after saving it, and getting a new profile but no idea how to do this. Any help appreciated.

I have a problem every time I close thunderbird, a few seconds later at least another two programs start up on their own. Its usually the Whatsapp desktop app or google games. Some times something from Nvidia will pop up.

Hello, I'm not very computer savvy so don't understand why this is happening or even what a blacklist is. I've attached screenshots. I tried to google what to do but don't understand the complicated things posted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly I had to thoroughly uninstall Thunderbird, reinstall and create new mailboxes due to some strange reason. In the past, the inbox would show the email list and, if clicked, a message would show up below a separator line. Now only the list shows up and I have to double click to read it which opens a new window. What a pain!

And yes, I know I can view the message page using F8 but it is on the right side and shorten the other windows.

Is there a way to go back to the view option I had in previously?

My Thunderbird email program stopped receiving and sending my emails approximately 2-3 days ago.

My email server is ATT. I have spoken to them today for hours and my Thunderbird email is still not working. They forced me to update my ATT password and my email is working elsewhere (like on Yahoo mail). But its not working on my Thunderbird.

ATT provided me updated information (IMAP and SMTP) info that I changed. But still not working.

I recall this occurring 6 years ago and ATT had me to enter a 12 digit code for my Thunderbird password. It was funky but it worked. It was not my ATT password, but hey, it worked. Now having the same problem.

I'm pretty sure I've messed up this info trying to correct it. No idea how to get it going again. Can you help?

I moved from 115.10.1 32 bit to 115.10.2 64 bit. What the hell happened to everything? No file menu standard bar, tools menu moved from top left to hidden menu drop down on top right (you should NEVER move controls from one side to the other), no way to delete all marked as junk? This is unusable.

And could not access my information on the older computer that does not work. I could really use all my information and EMAIL account for Thunderbird, because I have many years of information on all those emails, I can’t find my password, 0r email address for Thunderbird emails, because I have not used my Thunderbird account in over 5 years. My old computer does not work and Thunderbird Email is a great program. How could I get my old emails back? And working. If you could please give me more or less a time, and date, to wait for your response, so I can wait for someone to help me, and not lose that opportunity. I want to customize shortcuts in Thunderbird using tbkeys but I can't find the right command name.

In the description is written: "Most command names can be found in the main command set file of the Thunderbird source code."

But where I can found all/ more/ other command names?

In my case I want to change:

• "Move to previous UI element" (default: Shift + Tab)

I have a Gmail account and Talktalk account, both on TB, and sometimes as a reminder to myself I send an email from Talktalk to Gmail. However these emails do not appear in my Gmail inbox but instead go to All Mail, Important and Unwanted folders. How do I stop this.
