We have been using Thunderbird with a Cox email account. Cox has just transferred all its customers to Yahoo. I want to use Thunderbird with Yahoo. How do I set that up?

Start new Windows session. Start Thunderbird and works OK. Shut Thunderbird down and try to re-start during same Windows session and it will not launch. Reboot Windows and try to start Thunderbird and works OK. Alternatively, going into Task Manager there will be a number of Thunderbird processes running. If I manually end them all (while Thunderbird is NOT active) then I can restart as normal too. This all began with 124.0 Beta 1. Never had the issue prior.

Also, Thunderbird crashes if restarting within the app. By this I mean clicking the X it appears to close (excepting those persistent processes running) but "Restart Thunderbird" such as to launch Troubleshooting mode or from the "Restart to update Thunderbird" config crashes the app with 100% consistency.

Running 115.5.0 and want to export my contact list to be able to use it in a spreadsheet. The export function in the Tools dropdown only allows for export of "accounts, messages, address books and settings to a ZIP file." What happened to the ability to export just the address book separately to a csv file? Please help. Thank you.

Hi, I installed the latest Thunderbird on OS X Monterey for a friend and am using an Imap email account. Sending and receiving emails is working correctly. The problem is viewing what is in the inbox, it shows a certain number in the inbox but not all of those messages are showing up, some are missing. I've played around with the settings but I didn't see anythng that could help me out. On my own computer this works correctly, when I see a number in the inbox, it does show all of those email messages. Not sure what is going on, maybe it's simple like a setting not done correctly, or I missed something. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Every year I am required to update my university's net id password. Normally T'bird responds asking for a password update. Not this year; I am just cut off.

I followed all instructions from the T-help site. But it is impossible to update the "saved password." "edit" is not allowed.

When T-bird did ask me to connect via Google, see the screen shot, the next screen locks with a 403 error message, also attached.

I would like to continue to use Tbird, but this is making it impossible. My university's IT people had me download the T-bird again, but the problem persists.

Please advise soon.

I have an html signature, I made it several years ago. I have NO IDEA how I did it, and now it needs to be changed. My district is different. Can't change it from within Tbird. Would somebody please let me know where I can find that signature html?

When I attempt to send an email, I get this pop-up:

My ISP is Spectrum, they said issue is with Thunderbird, incoming s/b 993, outgoing 587, which I confirmed. How can this be fixed?

I'm having trouble with my Thunderbird password. I have 2 emails with identical settings and passwords. One works fine. The other's asking me for my password. When I enter what I knew for certain was the password I get the message, "Login to server imap.comcast.net with username weissfamily@comcast.net failed." I successfully changed the password still get the same error message. Also I get a Thunderbird popup that says, "Alert from account weissfamily@comcast.net: 1014." This is all above my pay grade. I want to single space my out going messages. I changed the paragraph setting from body text to paragraph format, this temporarily fixed it but it went back to double spacing

Hi, since I use a set of different browsers for different tasks, it would be great if there was an easy way of opening links from within thunderbird emails to your browser of choice. E.g. via right mouse button: Open Link in ... I use that method in other applications frequently.

I have spent the last TWO HOURS trying to find an answer to what should be a simple problem, and it seems not to exist!

I need to find out WHERE Firebird lists my email account PASSWORD.

I do NOT want to reset my password.

I simple need to know WHAT my password is, and since I set up the account [actually a few accounts] several years ago, my notes are evidently null and void, because none of those passwords seem to work.

My email is through verizon.net, which is one of the problems because they gave all of their email coltrol to AOL, which thouroughly sucks, and they seem not to have anyone who speaks fluent English who can assist me in FINDING the current password!

If ANYONE can help, it would be most greatly appreciated!!

Hi First of all I hate this new version it is so hard to use. I have never had a problem until this latest version go back to the previous version.

I had customized the menu bar with shortcuts - Print, Tags and Move to, then they disappeared and when I right clicked to customize again the customize button is greyed out and so I can not add any shortcut icons. To access these functions with out the shortcuts is so long winded.

Also I had down the left side of the screen the spaces tool bar but it also has disappeared and I can't get it back, managed to get it to show on the Menu bar but when I click on an icon (as listed) nothing happens.

   Spaces Menu options - Mail, Address Book, Calendar, Tasks, Chat, Setting, Show Spaces Tool Bar.

Don't know how else to access some of these options.

Open thunderbird up and want to print an email. Most of the time the printer is the default. Once I print and then go to the next email to print, the default printer is gone and the only option is save to PDF. I can close thunderbird and reopen it and seems to alleviate the issue for a few times then back save to PDF only. Strange issue. I have reinstalled thunderbird a few times. All other programs on the pc I print from always use the defaut printer.

I have over 200 emails that I can find in search and can view a preview type showing of emails, I can right click or take any action aside from clicking to open email. But when I try to open email it seem to open a new page that is blank and shows a page just like regular email listing but the field showing emails in blank. This same blank results also happens when I can see emails in search window but click the link to view in list view. I just need to open an email enough to be able to see what email address the original email was sent to. I also will add I cant seem to find any of the emails found in search in any of the accounts that being used in Thunderbird (accounts listed in left side column) Also these emails are 2 years old and the computer may or may not have had a OS reset during that time but not sure.

Hello Magda, Thanks for the answer to my error message I wrote to you yesterday about a problem with the Thunderbird program. I don't want to repeat everything I've written, but I would really like to get someone who knows Thunderbird to provide an answer to solve my problem; Otherwise, I will delete the app on all of our computers in the company. (We work on 3 Windows computers and 2 Mac devices.) The error occurs on the Windows devices. I ask you not to refer me to any forum again; I didn't have a good experience there. The colleague needs the email program; Unfortunately, you cannot send or receive emails. The installation of Thunderbird has always been flawless, but for about 3 weeks now the window asking you to enter the password has appeared again and again. However, if you enter it correctly, an error message appears.

Ich möchte nicht alles wiederholen, was ich geschrieben habe, aber ich möchte sehr gerne erreichen, dass jemand, der Thunderbird kennt, eine Antwort gibt, damit mein Problem gelöst wird; ansonsten werde ich die App auf allen unseren Rechnern in der Firma löschen. (Wir arbeiten an 3 Windows-Rechnern und an 2 Mac-Geräten.) Der Fehler tritt bei den Windows-Geräten auf. Ich bitte Sie, mich nicht wieder an irgendein Forum zu verweisen; da habe ich keine gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Die Kollegin und die Kollegen brauchen das E-Mail-Programm; leider können sie keine Mails senden und auch nicht empfangen. Die Installation von Thunderbird war immer einwandfrei, nun erscheint seit ca. 3 Wochen immer wieder das Fenster mit der Aufforderung, das Passwort einzugeben. Wenn man es richtig eingibt, erscheint aber eine Fehlermeldung.

After upgrading to SuperNova on my MacBook Pro, the Mail Merge function no longer is available under "File". I looked under Tools to see if I needed to reinstall the Mail Merge Add On, and the Add On feature is also missing.

I found a discussion where someone said to download some debugging file, and to do that, you had to look under the options (three vertical dots) next to the Unified Folders Inbox. However, my Unified Folder Inbox does not have three vertical dots.

up until a few months ago, Thunderbird opened jpg/jpeg images inline, that is in the message window. Instead I get an empty white box where the image SHOULD have displayed. The only option now available appears to open the attached image with PHOTOS which takes longer as Thunderbird has to call photos to load the image. Also it takes longer to actually display the image. So what happened?

My current work-around to this issue is to drag/drop the attached image to my photo editor which loads rather quickly. Much faster than photos.
