I run 68.3 on four Windows accounts. Thunderbird on one Windows account lost two emails. The emails exist on the server and appear in Thunderbird on 3 Windows accounts and also on the vendor-supplied email apps on my phone and tablet. Thunderbird on the Windows account I use every day does not synchronize to show those two emails. I have shutdown and restarted Thunderbird and restarted the computer with no success in retrieving those two emails in that one account.
How do I get those two emails to reappear in Thunderbird?

Do I want to create a new profile which defeats the purpose of the rollback.

Has answered on a different post, I was under the impression that if you uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird, all your settings will be saved under your username and not affected by the uninstall / reinstall, but this is not the case because I have done this and all my accounts, custom folders, and settings are all gone.
Am I missing something?

I just downloaded and installed the Thunderbird 32 bit Version 68.3.0. I get the message, "There was an error opening this document. The file cannot be found" when I try and open an attached PDF file. When I send the email with a PDF file attached, the recipient also cannot open the file. I tried using Nitro PDF, Adobe, and Able2Extract for viewing the attached PDF file and it did not matter. I can open the PDF file when I use Windows File Explorer and open up the file that is saved in a folder outside of Thunderbird.

I recently upgraded Kubuntu to 19.10 on a brand new HP computer. I installed Thunderbird 168.1.2+build1-0Ubuntu1. On the list of emails when I tag one of the emails, the color of the tag does not show up on the listed email. It does show up when I choose that email. On my HP laptop, with the same version of Kubuntu and Thunderbird, it works as it always has. When I tag an email, it shows up in the list with the color of the tag. I have used Thunderbird on Kubuntu for well over 10 years and I have never seen this problem. Tags are very important to me when use Thunderbird. Any help or suggestions would by appreciated.

I have downloaded the latest version of Thunderbird, installed it and I still can't get my my contact list to appear anywhere, although email to them by name does send, but I cannot add new names and addresses to it. Additionally, getting the calendar,Lightening, added has been impossible because the Tools tab is not there. I have a feeling that they are both related problems. Please Help

I upgraded to 68 yesterday and Thunderbird just blew up after a decade of virtually no issues:
1. Upon initial TB loading, won't get new emails, won't load Lightning, ignores all options and account settings
2. Immediately goes to a white page, shows "Not Responding"
3. Immediate goes back to my email, no calendar, no automatic download of email
4. Today's Pane is turned off, have to manually change it to see my calendar
5. Today's pane shows no schedule events
Rinse, Repeat.
What has happened?
Went back to 60.8, all is well.
This is unbelievable that so much core functionality on my desktop is broken.

Running version 68.2.2 of Thunderbird, where the About screen indicates that Thunderbird is up to date. I receive an error message indicating that Thunderbird is "Unable to update to the latest version". When I check the "About ..." screen, it show that I am already at the release version 68.2.2, When I use the Options/.../Update History feature, it shows the latest installation as version 68.1.0. It appears that these differences are what is causing Thunderbird to issue the error message. How do I fix the Update History to show the latest update installation (68.2.2)?
