How do I subscribe to an ics calendar file?

I was browsing this page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/adding-a-holiday-calendar

Which says:

  • Select "On the Network", and click "Next".
  • From the Format list, select iCalendar (ICS).

But when I select "On the Network" I see no options for file format (TB 138).

Is subscribing to remote ics files still supported, or must we download the files locally and subscribe to them there?

When I try to send an email here is the message I get.

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.sasktel.net failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again. I checked my outgoing SMTP settings and they are all what they are supposed to be. Note** when I first installed Mozilla everything worked fine. Now I can not receive or send out emails.

The ability to insert and resize images in-line with email text is a major function in my use of email. There have been at least two add-ons that smoothly and efficiently accomplished this task in previous versions of Thunderbird, the most recent being 'Shrunked Image Resizer'. Both those add-ons became unavailable due to updates to T-bird. Please Please allow compatibility with an add-on that does this. It is a make-or-break issue for me. Thank you.

Downloading messages disappear. It says it is downloading messages but then a couple are missing.

I click on the 'get messages' and it says it is downloading 4 messages (for instance) but then only 2 of them are there. Not in the inbox, or spam or trash, just not there. I can often see the subject of a message but there is no message like that. This has only been happening for about a week or two now.

Can't get Thunderbird to open. Have had it for years and now I get a message that I must restart to complete the recent updates. I have restarted and also shut down a dozen times, yet Thunderbird would not open for a week now. I have in my email address book 700 correspondents, now I lost them. I have already tried the profiles idea but to no avail. How do I get all of my folders that had all my emails sorted into them back and how do I get all my contacts in my address book back>?

I had a problem and lost my Thunderbird App. I performed a reinstall but I have none of my inbound messages and all my address books are gone. Where are they so I can reinstall them?

Profile still shows when I select it, but when trying to run Thunderbird it says it isn't there. Does not show as an available mail application in Windows 10.

1. Thunderbird was not my default mail client in Windows. When I tried to select it as default it did not appear in Windows' list of applications.

2. I tried to find the my profile and it showed where it was - but that directory did not exist. I finally was able to make a new profile and the directory showed up - but then the default-esr profile disappeared and now I can't find it and neither can Thunderbird. Is there a way to find where it went? I don't believe I delete it, it just went away. This is the message I get:

Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible

The year is 2025, version TB 128.6.0esr (64-bit), and your solution is working!!! This is a real problem, IMHO! I looked at the TB at lunch, there was no letter, I look at the letter in the evening and he writes to me that it arrived at lunch. It looks like I’m blind :(

Hi, in order to avoid problems with the view of emails, I repaired the folder of my emails configured as imap. During this process, all emails were reloaded from my provider. so far so good. But the dates of the emails now have all the time& date of today. Changing the sort order from date to received didn't change anything. By using CTRL-U I could see the correct dates: extract:
