Hello, I am new to Thunderbird and still learning. So I may have missed something setting it up. When I write an email over time it gets saved in my draft folder, but I get multiple copies and when I send it the previous versions remain in my Draft folder. So I end up with email messages, some of which have been sent and some are genuine drafts that I need to finish. If I wanted to keep a different version I'd probably amend the title. So my questions: How do I tell which has been sent and which is still a draft to complete and do I have to delete the old versions myself or ideally can I set it so that when I edit the message and save the new draft it overwrites the previous one? Thanks!

Good Day. I inadvertently upgraded to version 125 using PatchMyPC. After the upgrade the filters are not listing correctly. I search for a filter that I know exists; but it does not appear. When I try to save it under the same name, obviously it complains that the Filter already exists. I'm assuming this will be fixed in a future release. Thanks. Joe T.

email server times out when TB starts and checks for mail only since update to 115.10.1

Since the update TB to v115.10.1 it will not connect to server, the server just times out. BUT If I then login to the server directly from browser and check mail (IMAP b… (читать ещё)

Since the update TB to v115.10.1 it will not connect to server, the server just times out.

BUT If I then login to the server directly from browser and check mail (IMAP by the way) using my web online interface I get emails THEN if I open TB it connects and downloads as it should.

This is weird. It's been checking more than a dozen email accounts for a number of years without errors.

When composing a new email and using the F9 key to list addressees in the defaulted address book, this list does not contain many addresses that are contained in the "All Address Books" (Toolbar icon). The "All Address Books" contains 37 address entries whereas the defaulted address book contains 24. I noticed that the missing addressees are more recent additions.

Suddenly my Thunderbird email will not send out any email I try to send. I have been in contact with my server Tech Support. They have checked everything at their end and all seems correct. I can go through their webmail to my account and that works. I have re-installed the program several times, including backup of the Profile, and deleting it from the C drive, then reinstalling it. I have made multiple changes to the SMTP outgoing server, trying various entries. I have even restored my computer to an earlier "Restore Point". That didn't work.

Nothing will allow me to "Send" an email. Other than that, the program works well. I can receive emails, no problem. I am using Windows 11, 64 bit on a Desktop computer. Any ideas what the solution might be for me? Thank you. Dave Wenger - [edited] @ntelos.net, ph: [removed phone# from public].

Dear Sir or Madam,

we are using Mozilla Thunderbird for many years. Since last two updates the button for sending out emails is missing. We tried to activate and to find it but we were not successful. Can you please check the current version for this mistake/error? All menu bars are activated but we also found out that the menu bar for writing emails are not visible any longer.

Hello, I find Thunderbird is identifying my spam pretty well but all it does is mark the "junk status" column. The messages still sit in my inbox. There must be a way to have these messages automatically sent to a folder, or to delete them, or...? I tried setting up a filter, but there is no option to select the "junk status" tag.

How can I automatically do something with my junk/spam messages, something more than just tag them?

New computer since a week ago. Thunderbird was fully functional the first days. Not using the computer for last 3 days.

Now is the internet connection in Thunderbird only works in troubleshoot mode

How can i detect the the reason for the problem. Even the check for Update in The About fails with connection times out. Can´t access any of may mail accounts all fails. Unblocked Thunderbird in Firewall and Virus Running Windows 11 with latest updates. Thunderbird version 115.10.2 (64-bit)

I used to be able to select a range of e mails using the cursor to select the first e mail and then press shift key and the last email with the cursor to select the range of e mailsin my inbox to delete them. I could use the delete key, the button in Thunderbird or right click to bring up some functiosn such as delete selected messages. When I do this now the messages, which are normally unread, show as read but have not been deleted. I try again with the now read messages but they still will not delete. Its fustrating

I use Thunderbird to manage my single email account. It is not a gmail account. I have received emails from others with a gmail accout, but my replies are not received by them. New emails from me to a gmail account are similarly not received. Any ideas on how to configure Thunderbird to handle this problem?

Hi.,

 Cox cable just discontinued their email server and moved all it's email accounts to Yahoo.

I had been using Thunderbird successfully with Cox for several months before this happened.

 I am able to send and receive emails now via my new online Yahoo server;  however I have not

been able to connect / use Thunderbird to send and receive emails since the Yahoo changeover. I have tried many things, but I either get a "failed" error message or a "timed out" error message. Yahoo support has not been able to figure this one out. They are hard to get a hold of and hard to understand (communicate with). They are overseas from the US.

 I appreciate any help you can offer.

I am using Thunderbird 115.9.0 (64-bit) on Windows 11.

I am finding that I cannot copy text out of a Thunderbird window (e.g., an incoming message or a message-composition pane).

If I select text and "copy" (e.g., by context menu with right click or Edit-Copy ordinary menu), my clipboard is cleared.

If my clipboard is not clear (text copied from another application), I can paste that into a Thunderbird message-composition pane. But if I then select that same text in the Thunderbird window and then do "copy" (above), the clipboard is cleared. Pasting (into a Thunderbird window or something else, like Notepad) pastes nothing.

I have noticed this problem only in the last week or so.
