I've been noticing apparent duplicate messages within my unified folders inbox on my desktop recently.

Looking further I notice that one of my accounts has 'INBOX' as one of its subfolders which is where the problem appears to stem from. When I look at that account in isolation (ie not in unified folders) I can still see the inbox as a subfolder.

The subfolder 'INBOX' appears to be a duplicate of the account's main inbox (it contains the same number of emails), which may account for the appearance of duplicates.

At a guess this is probably related to inadvertent moving of folders. I find that when trying to use the scroll bar (to scroll down the subfolder list), if the mouse strays slightly to the left it will pick up a subfolder and move it unintentionally. This can cause all sorts of problems with disappearing emails and the folder structures showing differently on different computers.

In this case the duplicate email problem only happens on my desktop. On my laptop I can still see a subfolder named 'INBOX' but it shows as empty and I don't see the duplicate emails in unified folders.

It would be really useful if Mozilla could introduce a 'confirm folder move' feature as that would eradicate inadvertent moves.

How do I resolve the apparent duplicate emails on my desktop? I am somewhat reticent to delete the subfolder 'INBOX' for fear of the potential consequences. . .

Trying to use Thunderbird to connect to my hotmail account but get an error message that says I can't log into "server" due to the prefs or login details are wrong. Have tried to search around for answers but can't see that anything is wrong. Any idea what to do? Use windows 10 professional.

My mails are automatically corrupted or deleted from system.

Before my mail corrupted i had try to make folders for inbox mails and during this process my some of mails are automatically deleted lr corrupted.

How can i resolve this issue Please guide me

Thunderbird is not downloading. Email email or feeds. It is. Not downloaded since May 11th. Also your website is i Inaccessible Through any of the browsers, please help.

Today my father lost all the sub folders below the folder Archives. Doe anybody know how to get them back?

I tried the following:

• Clicked on Folder Modes -> All Folders
• Tried the solution mentioned here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Local_Folders

The strange thing is I also don't see any .sbd or .msf files, with one of the names he mentions, under the directory Mail (in the profile directory). How can they suddenly disappear or be deleted?

If someone knows how to get the folders (with the e-mails) back, that would be very much appreciated!

Sometimes a mail comes in, a notification sound is played - but no notification pops up (Thunderbird notification).

How come?

The mail comes in normally and arrives in the inbox - it has no filter settings.

I am running Supernova version 115.5.2 and have a strange situation (maybe it's normal) when opening it.

If I have received any emails for any account in a previous session, then when I open a new session, the folders for these accounts open expanded and other accounts that did not receive any emails, remain collapsed.

I know there are others who have various issues regarding all folders expanded or collapsed but in Thunderbird before Supernova, I always collapsed all my folders and opened a new session with everything collapsed.

So can anyone tell me how to set-up Supernova so that when I collapse all my folders at the end of a session, a new session will open with all the folders still collapsed?

Only in the last 24 hours,I cannot add Attachements to emails I downloaded Microsoft Iview & that change Preferences on a lot of Apps Below is a examaple of it,I have tried different PDF Readers & they all do the same If I Go To The actual Folder in D Drive,then they will all open ok Please assist Thank you Darryl.Smith

Opened TB 115.11.0 (64 bit) this am A compact procedure started up. I am now left with a message whose subject is quite different from the content The next message has just come through - apparently no problem, but the original error remains. See screenshot. Not sure what to do next!

I'm a thunderbird user. I've been getting large blocks of 40 or 50 old (4-5 months old) emails in the middle of the current emails. I delete them, but they're still in their original location.

I changed the password for one of my gmail accounts and now Thunderbird can't access it. It kept asking for verification. When I realized the problem I changed out the '@' but I can't change the password in Thunderbird. New emails are accessible in Gmail and Outlook but Thunderbird doesn't show then and nothing happens when I use 'get messages'. I need to delete the problem account to re-enter it, when I try to add the email address as a new account Thunderbird just says it already exists and does nothing.

today, i guess, it crashed completely . it started by firing of a warning that not enough space is provided which was not true, then it downloaded 10 messages at once... after a while, the message pane was lost. you click on an email and nothing. it selects it but nothing shows up. blank screen. double click, also opens a new blank tab. fearing a totally corrupt database or even a re-install i pressed repair on the folder. took ages. now, though, i have the profile folder in my PC intact, but TB refuses to load it. i only see the 20 emails i got lately. like starting a new profile all over again...

It is supposed that all emails (received & sent) are saved locally in Thunderbrid. I moved my hosting account from one provider to the other provider, I setup same email address as i had with the previous provider and also using in the Thunderbrid. I could still see all the emails but Thunderbird asked me for a new password. Things were ok up to this point but when i entered the new password, all of a sudden all the emails of that account disappeared. Surprisingly when i try to search something using search toolbox, Thunderbird shows me result from all the emails that are disappeared.

I believe emails are still there but disappeared due to some glitch & that need to be fixed in the code. Can anyone please provide me a work around or development can fix this bug & release a new version ?

Hi, Since 4 days all emails messages ending by ".... @akeonet.com" (SFR company) can't be sent or received via THUNDERBIRD. When opening THUNDERBIRD a password is asked for address email "lalevee.claude@akeonet.com". But the current password doesn't work. I'am getting then a demand to "try again" or "enter a new password" or "cancel" but again without any success. However when trying "Configure your existing address email", I'am getting the message: the email address ("lalevee.claude@akeonet.com") is found in the FAI data base MOZILLA ! Using AKEO webmail, I can find new messages received or can send new ones. Please notice, adresses ending by "...@gmail.com" are not concerned by this problem, and still working !??? Stopping firewalls doesn't solve the issue.

I've had Thunderbird running for a few years now without any issue. Last week I upgraded from Ubuntu 22.04 to 24.04 and ever since that I've been having problems on Thunderbird sending email.

I can receive mails fine but if I try to send emails from any account I get "Sending of the message failed"

I've for 2 Outlook.com accounts and one gmail.com account and all give issues.

GMail I'm using: smtp.gmail.com Port 465 SSL/TLS OAuth2

Outlook: smtp-mail.outlook.com Port: 587 StartTLS Auth: Normal Password.

These settings have worked fine before the upgrade so think there is something broken my TB.

I am trying to sign in to my Yahoo email account in Thunderbird. I enter my email address, and my password (double checking it's correct), then I click Continue, then it finds a POP3 configuration for my email address. Then I click Done, and it stays stuck on "Checking Password", until ultimately it tells me "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password."

Aside from this, I would like to store all my emails on the server (using IMAP?) and not on my computer using POP3. So when I go to configure IMAP manually and try to type in the values on this page ( https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN4075.html ) (although the fields don't exactly match), I type everything in and the "Done" button is greyed out so I can't even continue.

I found one other topic but they got farther than I did and they got to the Yahoo sign in screen which I did not, and they are using OAuth2 which I don't think I am, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone know how I can fix this and set up my Yahoo account with Thunderbird?
