sur le nouvel ordinateur sous linux je ne trouve pas ROAMING le premier ordinateur est sous windows.le mode d'emplmoi pour migration a bien fonctionné sur le premier ordinateur .Il y a donc un probleme de communication.Windows c'est pas Linux.Veuillez me dépanner svp. I had to delete one of my email accounts (verizon.net) and now want to reinstall. When I attempt to add email account, I get a message "incoming server already exists"! The email account is, in fact, gone. Please help.

Does Firefox save a backup copy of things like address book and archives? It so, where and what are the file names? How do I prevent future updates from removing important data? HELP!

There is a context menu entry that enables message fetching for individual folders and an about:config setting for doing it for all folders. There is some speculation in a different question that this is necessary to avoid overloading servers.

Is this true and still appropriate? How can I as a user tell what I can set this to?

From a UX point of view it would definitely be better to just check all folders for new mail.

Why can I see my e-mail messages and delete them for my djclwebster@saveourchurch.org, but not on my dwebster@saveourchurch.org account or the info@saveourchurch.org Should I "uninstall" Thunderbird to get back the older version or is there a solution for the new update?

The last Firefox upgrade did not bring the Firefox address book with it, all my contacts are lost. How could this happen and why, it stops me from using Firefox for emails and I am lost. Need a fast solution to something that should never happen.

I tried to set up TB email using autocomplete, to load up my existing tiscali email account, but this would not work. So I got the latest IMAP setting from the Talktalk website (Talktalk bought out Tiscali years ago) and entered those manually. I keep getting a message from TB saying that the "incoming server already exists" but the emails just don't load. Also there seems to be an issue with my password, The password works for accessing my tiscali / talktalk webmail but not for setting up this account.

Talktalk are about to switch over their email settings, so the old tiscali settings that i currently access my email with go obsolete from 30/9/22, and yet the new talktalk settings given on Talktalk's website don't seem to work either

I am using a HP pc, running Windows 10.

Any suggestions, please? I wan't to back up my email. I've already contacted Talktalk because their new settings aren't working for me. They are looking into it and had advised me to back up my email. The first stage in this is getting it up and working on TB, then, I hope copying it to a hard drive. At present struggling to set up on TB, never mind the backing up! Please advise what to do.

I want to talk with a Thunderbird agent for help. I'm not sure if this is the right way to communicate. Thank you for responding. I finally did get the help I needed when I returned home from travelling. A local business uses Thunderbird on a Mac like me. "Ionos", which hosts my website and web mail that goes to Thunderbird helped me on line to put in changes they require but that did not work for me. And I lost all my email except for the last week. Also mail wasn't coming into Thunderbird. It turns out my Avast had something to do with the muck up. It took 2 hrs. to solve the problem. My husband Uri Cogan passed on last Nov. He set me up with Thunderbird and took care of everything related to my computer. He was a volunteer helping here. Without him I am slowly learning what I can. I am finding out that most people don't really know anything outside their lane and any friend I asked was as clued out as I am.

I have connected my wifes outlook acc. and my Gmail acc. without issue, one on each of the user profiles, but with the 3rd my Outlook acc, I keep getting the "Unable to log in at server..." error. The Name/email/password are all correct. I have tried connecting my 3rd email account (+New/Existing Mail Account) as the 2nd account on different profiles but I get the same error trying to connect my Outlook acc.. I have verified that Thunderbird is configured to accept cookies. Is there some issue with having 2 outlook accounts linked to the same instance of Thunderbird?? (I hope not!! - that would be a complete deal-breaker!) Is there anything else I can try? Many thanks

After moving my thunderbird 104 profile to 115 supernova (including the profiles.ini file), I can see the full list of accounts and folders in supernova, but none of the emails are visible. I can receive and send new messages, but again - none of them are visible when I want to see them later in the inbox or sent folders. Moreover, the right-click mouse button does not work on the whole list of accounts/folders on the left side of the agent. What to do. I have 16Gb of emails and cannot use them.

I had a huge problem with M Outlook. In addition it has locked me out of my Office 365 package and I'm not getting help or support. Luckily I had backup completed before the problem. I changed to Thunderbird (using pop3), which I find very good. The back up is approx 8 GB but with many duplicates which I need to clean up. When I click import it seems to limit the file size to 2 GB. How can I import this backup file into Thunderbird to enable me to access the emails, clean up the many many duplicates and reduce the size? I await help, Thanks in advance

I've noticed if I have the same label setup on 2 pc's and I label a couple of mails on 1 pc, it doesn't sync with the other one and vice versa. Is there a way to make them sync? Rather annoying.

I have been a satisfied Thunderbird user for more than ten years, I have made a large one-time donation and I also make a monthly donation.

Since I had my hip replaced ten days ago it is difficult for me to get to my office upstairs so yesterday I wanted to transfer some accounts to my notebook that I otherwise use in Thunderbird on my stationary work computer.

On some website I read instructions for copying a "profile" from a desktop computer (Windows 7 Pro 32 bit) to a laptop (Windows 10 Pro 64 bit). I don't know what I did wrong: all the desired accounts (four of them) appeared on the laptop but they all ask for passwords all the time and don't save or remember them.

Out of sheer stupidity I also updated the stationary computer to version 102.3.3 and also updated the version of the Mozilla browser. The end result is that now even on a stationary computer Thunderbird asks for passwords all the time and does not save them.

I also tested the transfer while entering passwords a few dozen times and somehow managed to forward one email from the archive on two accounts.

Today I tried to install an old version of Thunderbird (38 and/or 52) on a desktop computer from your website but it downloads version 102 every time.

We have our own e-mail server in the company and my colleague reset my password (just in case) and I entered the new/temporary password in the mail on my mobile phone (Blackberry) which after the change normally receives and sends e-mails. Blackberry of course worked normally all the time even with the old password.

PLEASE - PLEASE let me know the solution because I really do NOT WANT to use any other email app.

Hello, I'm migrating from Outlook Express to Thunderbird 102, in Windows 8.1. I'd like to import my Address Book (.wab file) into TB 102. It seems a direct import is not possible (?). I have to convert my .wab file to a .csv file that TB can import. But doing so, I loose all the organization of my old address book (1500 contacts and tens of folders and sub-folders) ! How can I save the organization (folders) of my old address book in TB ? Tks in advance for your answers and solutions.

Been using Tbird for forever.

I have a odd setup of accounts. A bunch of accounts that are each one email address. No problem.

And then one LOCAL folder for a bunch of personal email addresses (eg, xxx@mindspring and xxx@earthlink.net combined into one Tbird "account" -- and and a few more email addresses too). This setup has worked fine for years.

BUT, then I upgraded to V115.

All my history in Inbox, Sent, etc, etc. is LOST for Local.

Why? (Honestly, I don't care about THAT so much ... see next question).

How do I get that history BACK??? In those subfolders? If you need it, I can list all the subfolders I use (pretty good guess).

I have TWO profiles apparently. Not clear to me if the install chose the wrong one. Plus a profiles.ini file in the Thunderbird Library folder.

Under Crash Reports: I have an Install Time item for Sept 6 - probably when I installed V115. Useful??

Where do I start?
