I run message filters to file messages from Inbox in specific folders. However for some of my filters that copy or move a message to a folder in Local Folders the body of the message disappears, leaving only the message header. Other filters set up in the same way work fine. The filters are usually on the sender's e-mail address. Any ideas for a fix?

After last 2 updates several emails were showing up as code. I think I have that stopped. But now 1 email combines with many with to & subject correct, but the from & preview is all the same email from Amazon from 2017.As time goes on, it takes over more emails. My phone email is fine, so this is strictly a Thunderbird issue again.I used sfc/scannow & it said it found problems & they were repaired. Now I see a few more emails look like this. I'm about ready to chuck Thunderbird & go back to Outlook. This has been going on for several weeks with the first issue, the combined emails just started today.

When I click on the arrow to acquire any emails from my isp it will often say downloading 3 emails or 5 emails or some number, but only one or two come in. I have to hit the arrow again to get more. Sometimes it will say downloading some number of emails, but NOTHING comes in. I don't remember this happening until about a month ago. Can you help?

I have a calendar event with multiple people set up. I want to add a person to the event and only send a new invite to the new person (and not send a second invite to the original invitees). Is this possible? thanks.

Hello, I have Webmail by Godday. I have been using Thunderbird for many years to connect to my accounts without issue. Past couple days I get an error message saying it can't connect to the server. Godaddy says they haven't changed anything. I can log in on Webmail but not with Thunderbird. Thunderbird brings up my mail from before it couldn't log in so I have all my stuff I have saved but I can't get new mail or send mail. I deleted Cache, restarted and all that... Disabled add-ons in trouble shooting mode. Here is what I got. Much appreciated

i have a mailserver with a catch all function and give out only customized mail adresses. Think "paypal@domain.com".

That way i know exactly who "lost" my mail address to a spammer.

However when i want to reply, the sending mail address defaults to the one i am logged into.

Is there any possibility to configure Thunderbird, that the sending mail for the reply is equal to the receiving one i am replying to?

Good morning, This morning thunderbird was not responding and allowing new emails to come thro. So i repaired the folder and now it doesn't display the messages in my inbox. Could someone help me with that? If you want to message me privately thats fine too daryl@doubledtrailerparts.com

Hi there! I made a screen-shot just in case I don't explain this well :) In my inboxes this works well on both my emails - the "groups" 'today, yesterday, last 7, last 14 & older' are all expanded all the time. (see image)

This is however not the case in other folders like sent, junk, deleted etc. I need to manually click the name "today/yesterday etc." to expand it. Next time I go to that folder again, they are all 'un-expanded/closed/collapsed' again.

I would like them to be expanded as default all-the-time in every folder I have! Is there a setting for this somewhere that I can set to 'true' or just check a box?

I am trying to add a secondary Comcast email account to T-Bird. The primary account was added OK. This is a sub account of the top one.

Note, I have 2 other computers and I was able to add this sub account easily, but that was some years ago.

When I go through the motions of adding my email address and password, when I click "Done" a window pops up with the massage "Secure Connection Failed" The error code is PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR.

When setting up the primary account, the little window asked me my password then asked if it was OK for T-Bird to access the account. This was as normal like all the Gmail ones I did.

But it seems this sub account cannot be added.

Any Ideas?

I am now using Outlook (imap). When I try to permanently delete a bunch of emails it deletes them and then I get a synchronizing inbox bar and the 1,000 or so emails come right back into my inbox. How do I avoid this if I am using Thunderbird?

Example: Have 9600 emails delete 2500 and notifies me that they will be permanently deleted but they never are. They just return a few minutes later. Thanks

Somehow, the "auto-BCC" feature in one of my Thunderbird accounts has been activated. How can I disable that? When I open an email now (in my 'in-box'), it automatically fills in "To" and "From" fields. I no longer get my 'in-message' toolbar in the upper right-hand corner of the message window (tab). I also no longer get the notification that "Thunderbird has blocked remote content..." How can I restore this without deleting and rebuilding the account? I'm sure this was mistakenly activated but it needs to go away!!!

On a further note, I have found that if I move a message from my in-box to ANY other folder, I get the normal message view, with all the correct toolbars and indications and controls! Attached are the correct and incorrect screenshot of the same message, just in different folders.

As of Supernova update it would seem, thunderbird is unable to fetch favicons for newly added feeds. They will always display a globe favicon, instead of the respectful favicons.

Worse still, it would seem like removing a feed from the folder doesnt revert it to the folder favicon, but rather keeps the globe!

is there a way to force thunderbird to fetch relevant favicons, or add ones manually?

When viewing some [not 'all'] PDFs I've created via T'bird's inbult PDF preview on my W10 Desktop PC an annoying black blob in the shape of a car key now appears on the PDF's pages from page 2 onwards. When viewing the same file via an iOS device or inside Dropbox there is no black blob. Also, when viewing the same file via the full Adobe Acrobat APP on my W10 Desktop PC there is no black blob. This black key-shape blob only shows inside T'bird's inbuilt PDF previewer.

I know how to change the preview function inside Tbird to instead open any PDF in Acrobat, but as I quite like the T'bird PDF preview feature does anyone know why these black keys are appearing and how to get rid of them?

Further info: The only PDFs with the black blobs are those created via my W10 Desktop PC's PowerPoint APP's "Save as Adobe PDF" function. There is no such black blob on the PowerPoint pages themselves, and again no blobs appear when viewing the new PDF on any iOS device or within Dropbox. Additonally, and since writing the above lines, I have emailed the PDF to a friend who has opened it on his W10 Laptop and there are NO [again, NONE] black blobs on his screen [he uses Outlook as his email handler]. Thus, I feel certain the problem is within T'bird's PDF preview code.

Is there any fix for this?

Thunderbird takes a long time to open?? First it displays a blank page Then blank page marked: loaded Then it opens on the email account I saved the Profiles folder I carefully uninstalled, cleaned and rebooted, then reinstalled the latest version and replaced the Local folder in the new Thunderbird to find all my local folders Version 115.10.2 (64 bits) Win 10 Home 22H2

I have a problem every time I close thunderbird, a few seconds later at least another two programs start up on their own. Its usually the Whatsapp desktop app or google games. Some times something from Nvidia will pop up.

Hi. I have this strage problem X writes a mail to "support". "Support" is a distribution list. I receive that mail

I then reply to X. Sender is "support" as it is defined as an Identity under the main mailbox Also there is a rule in that identity to sens a cc copy to support itself (so collegues belonging to list "support" receive a copy)

I then need to send a second email to X, starting from the sent message (as it is a follow up)

So i go under "sent mail", i find the message i sent previously, having from "support" to: X cc "support"

(1) I click reply and i get a message with: - from "support" - to "support" - cc "support"

So "X" has disappeared

(2) Note I have no button "reply to all", but if i right click the masse and the "reply to all", i got a good message with: - from "support" - to "X" - cc "support"

Hope this is clear. Someone can help ? My need is click reply and get result as described at (2) Thank you
