(note. i'm very wary of posting this question here, as i've been told off, this apparently not being the right place for such matters. but this is where i get to from "Help>Submit Feedback…" in Thunderbird, and also Bugzilla leads me here. if this is not the right place, please can someone kindly tell me where is?)

102.2.2 has really messed things up for me. i can't see any emails after August 9th in any of my Saved Searches, and this is causing real problems.

i've tried deleting the global database and reindexing, but that did nothing.

I was exploring this new 115 of Thunderbird and ended up wiping the message viewer off the screen.

To start with, I have my TBird 115 as it came "out of the box." Three columns, Inbox folder tree on the left, Cards List in the center, and message pane in the right side.

I messed everything up when I widened the Cards list to the right edge of the window, where the <---> arrowhead disappeared and all there is to the right side is the window resize arrow from my Linux system and that awful slim Jim scroll bar.

I recovered my message pane using F8 key; it is below my short list of email in the Cards View. See the attached screenshot.

I would like to return things back to as they were with the three columns as described above. I forgot, too, where I turned on Classic View. There is a checked box in Settings somewhere. Or is it a menu? I need some help, please.

May I suggest a limit somewhere short of the right-side edge of the window and short of the scroll bar to only widen the message pane "so far," such that one can recover from pushing it that far, using the same means to return it with the double arrow.

OS: Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon Thunderbird 115 MintBox Mini 2 Pro computer

Running Thunderbird 102.1.2. Today, I had 2 email just disappear. One was in a local folder from about a year ago. I tried to include it as an attachment in another email and it just wasn't there any more. The other was a reply to an email and it also disappeared. I've looked in all my folders, trash, outgoing and incoming and they just aren't there any more.

Any ideas???

It's a pity that we reached version 102.1.2 and till now a common problem has not been solved. In email composing window when misstype a word there is the red indicator for mistakes and then by right clicking we get the correct proposed words. In event creation we get only the red indicator for mistakes. Nothing more. It's a pity a so much advertised version to lack such a basic feauture.

Thunderbird didn't seem to download properly. My Thunderbird window does not have the top lines that say: File, Edit, View, etc., and Get Mail Write, Address Book.

I copied my Thunderbird profile to a tape drive, went to troubleshooting, profile, open folder and pasted my .map files which were abook-1.map, abook-2.map through abook-10. Restarted Thunderbird and files did not convert to .sqlite. How do I proceed to restore addresses?

I've got TBird set up to download two POP3 accounts. GMail and Outlook. Outlook works ok, with email still coming through. GMail however isn't recieving any new mail, it runs through the send recieve ok, and says there are no new messages to download, despite the fact there are about 40 emails a day hitting that account. I can get onto emails through my phone, or through the website. This started a couple of days ago, no settings have been changed. I can send from the Gmail account, so the sending is OK, just not the recieving. I've tried compacting folder, with no effect. I've run in troubleshoot mode, with no effect. Spam Folder is empty

Hi,

I have got latest Thunderbird installed with Mail Merge Version 10.4.0 on a Mac. When I try to send a mailmerged email from a CSV (Used automatic or comma separated setting), it throws an error saying "Unsupported Zip file" and gives me links to the Home Page and the Change Log file.

When I accept the error message, it allows me to go into the final mail sending window. However, when clicked the "Start" button, no mail is sent.

Mail merge works without any issue on Windows PC. The issue is with the MAC.

Any help in getting this issue sorted is much appreciated.

I have about 30,000 messages in a local folder on TB. I need to move them to an IMAP folder on my outlook.com account. I have been able to move some but TB just stops moving the files randomly. I have 2 pop email accounts on Thunderbird 121.0 (64-bit) Win 11. I have just discovered that when I send an email from Account 1 Sender appears as my account 2 address and this change is causing me a great deal of pin. How do I send an email from Account 1 containing my account 1 email address for response. I obtained a new email address as I was going under with trash arriving and this seems like a recipe for the same. Thanks

This issue shows up randomly, affecting a random number of messages. Issue is that one message will take over other messages following. Message notification will look normal in the inbox, but click on the message following X message, and the X message is what will appear. The subject line at the very top of the page will be from Y, but the rest of the information following will be from X. Two, three or more messages may be affected. Deleting X will make no difference. This time, four messages were affected.

Nearly every day I have to quit Thunderbird and reopen it as, it will not connect to my server. This means that all the viewing criteria and spending/descending has to be reset and is a real drag. As soon as I reopen Thunderbird it works normally again.

I have used the same connection details for years and it is just the last two Thunderbird versions that have replicated this issue. It's not always every morning when I wake my iMac up, but normally happens then or, later during the day.

I asked this question for 102.3.1 but received no answers so, I am hoping that there will be an answer to this.

Updating to version 38.1.0 Start Thunderbird, Starts up OK. Can view messages and write new emails etc OK. If I select "get messages" OR messages are accessed automatically every 5min. then the whole PC crashes. Three finger salute does not bring up task manager. Only way out is to power cycle.

Hello. How can I choice (or modify) de background color for a selected text, or for new text writing? In the formatting menu bar in the "write" window, the icon for selecting the text color works well, but the icon for selecting background color acts on the whole page, not on the selected text. I'm having an issue with Thunderbird where I've removed an old account, but Thunderbird keeps trying to log into the account and pops up a warning every 10 minutes or so. I have no add-ons, no extensions, and I have two other accounts that work perfectly fine. I went through the process to remove my third account, which succeeded, yet Thunderbird is still trying to sign into it for some reason.

My hunch is that there is another section of the software (calendar, reminders, something) that is retained the account info and is trying to pull it from the server, but I have no idea how to find these other settings if they exist.

Since I too am having many problems with passwords I wonder if I were to reinstall TB if that would solve the problem. Is there any way to save my contacts before I do a reinstall so that my contacts/addresses are easily replaced after the reinstall? Or am I not going to fix the password problem by doing a reinstall?

I have Thunderbird open almost all the time. I will often add a new Contact to the macOS address book (Contacts) then go over to start a new message in Thunderbird. When I do this, the new contact can not be found. I need to quit Thunderbird and then restart it.

Is there a way to refresh (or reload) my address book (Contacts) without having to restart Thunderbird?
