I am unable to get into my Thunderbird email. I keep getting this error message:

error: platform version '91.7.0' is not compatible with minVersion > = 91.8.0 maxVersion < 91.8.0

I am able to get my email from my phone, but I have many very important emails in saved folders on Thunderbird that I need to get to.

I thought maybe I need to download Thunderbird again, but I am afraid I will lose all my saved emails. Is this correct?

I often need to repair my inbox because of emails having the wrong header connected to them. As I have understood these problems are due to a corrupt MSF-file. Why is the file being corrupted and what precautions can I make to prevent such corruption?

Sorry but I am at a loss but have this detail but no email to send it to. Keeps on saying timed out or STTARTL is a problem. For some reason I can not load my e-mails in mail folders any more. Please check the image from attachment. In one moment in the past I just copied the content of the Thunderbird folder as a backup. Now, when replace the current content by the backup files, Thunderbird opens all backup e-mails correctly. It seems that somehow current files in the path C:\Users\38164\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\ir635php.default-release\Mail are corrupted? To make matters worse, I use POP3. Is there any way to recover my e-mails?

When I try to log in to my Mozilla Thunderbird email, I immediately get a XULRunner error window with this message: Error: Platform version '91.6.0' is not compatible with minVersion >= 91.7.0 maxVersion <= 91.7.0

I can't open my email at all. Help?? Screen shot of the message has been attached below.

I think I read something that said reinstall? But, if I do that will my email history still be there? I have one email that is particularly important and want to be sure i can access it.

Recently i've noticed alot of failed to send messages in the inbox and its still comming, i havent sent any emails from the address and i was wondering how do i stop the failed messages.

I've read other posts for the same issue, and so far none of the suggested fixes have worked, or just aren't applicable (I don't use *any* calendar apps, for example... those are on my phone.)

As I'm typing, the cursor does not advance, until after a second or two it shoots way over, displaying what I was typing while it was taking a nap. It's very slow to advance to the next email up if I "up arrow" to read the next one. Now, it's even slow to scroll down the folder pane when I try to drag the scroll bar. It's just slow to respond to much of anything, across the board.

I've started TBird with all add-ons disabled, and I've turned off the "Global search and indexer" function. Neither of these has improved things in the least, and it's actually worse than before I did these things.

I *DO* have maybe 60 or 65 sub-folders dangling off the account, and there are a LOT of saved emails in them. Would saving those emails to disk or a USB stick or somewhere else and 'removing' them from TBird do anything to speed things up? It's really getting to the point where I'm reluctantly considering looking for an alternative to TBird unless I can get this cleared up... even *mostly* cleared up.

I'm really not willing to have to start Win10 in 'safe' mode just to get the email working like it should. I have enough trouble with Windows already without adding another 'search for answers' to the mix. No other apps are behaving like this, just TBird, so I'm reluctant to immediately point the finger at Microsoft. I'd rather exhaust all options within TBird before messing with Windows.

Can you please help me with opening the attachment directly in Thunderbird? I couldn't open the email attachment received. Every time when I try to open it in Thunderbird, the downloads folder pops out without file name and no option to choose 'Save as type' either. I can download the email attachment and view it. But I do want to view it directly on Thunderbird. Thank you very much!

I have a little problem, I hope you can help me in this. I had a Google account in my Thunderbird client, what I would like to remove completely. I went to the Account Settings and deleted the account, and in the Calendar tab I removed all Calendars which were connected to this account. Now, somehow Thunderbird keeps prompt about every half an hour me with the Google's "Enter credentials" authentication window... What should I remove in the application, to remove completely this gmail account? What I miss? :/

I think this happened after the recent update to 91.7.0, may have been 91.6.0. I lost, at a minimum, an entire folder. Doing a filtered key word search, Thunderbird shows that the folder, thus the e-mails in in that folder, are in Account NONE. How do I access this account so I can move the e-mails back where they belong? C:\Users\3TIER\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles does NOT show a "None" profile in any of the sub-folders

I was receiving the "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox". I uninstalled AVG Anti Virus which resolved the problem but now my inbox is empty. Can I retrieve them?

It worked fine until March 2022, but now every time I restart, Thunderbird keeps asking me to re-enter outlook passwords. Please help me fix it!

I've been a power user of Thunderbird for many years now, and this is the first time I've come across this issue.

Suddenly yesterday, without warning, the display of messages in my Inbox have vanished.

The mail items are still there. When I click or use my arrow buttons to move up or down, the preview display pane correctly shows the emails.

When I reply, the emails look normal as well.

Other folders render correctly. It's just the Inbox.

I restarted the program, then shut down and rebooted my laptop. Has not resolved the issue.

I have version 91.6 and have major problems: 1. It constantly freezes up - Almost every time I try to open an email the error message "Thunderbird is freezing" comes up. Sometimes it will be 3-4-5 minutes. 2. Every time I open it up, it asks for email password for each account. I put password in AND "SAVE" for each email account (4). I know they are there as when I go to settings and check on passwords, they are shown. But Thunderbird will still ask me evrytime. I will enter password and end up hitting "retry" 4-5-6 or more times before it will download my emails. I have wasted hours every day on downloading and trying to read my emails. I have so many folders filled with emails that I need to keep for followup from the last 3-4 years since Win10 would not let me use Eudora anymore or I would switch to Mail or Outlook. I had Eudora for over 20 years and had less problems in total over that time than I have every day with Thunderbird. I have reinstalled program several times over the past few months hoping to solve problem to no avail. To make sure it was not TWC or my computer, I tried Outlook. Whhat I got was instant downloads, no hesitations and instant opening of the email. If I did not hve to keep my old messages, I would switch, BUT, in this day and age of technology, I don't understand why Thunderbird ahs so many problems

Up until March 23 I was able to send Bcc to several people. Yesterday I tried to send Bcc and I get the message "Sending of the message failed.

The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) outbound.att.net for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again." I have checked my outgoing settings and nothing has changed. Even just trying to send to one person with Bcc doesn't work. The mail will go if I use the To: I have two Thunderbird mail accounts and they both give me the same message when sending Bcc. I use Yahoo mail. sbcglobal.net. I have tried deleting the password and when I tried to send the mail it asked for my password. After submitting it I still have the same problem. I even tried changing the SMTP settings. No luck there. I tried the trouble shooting mode and that didn't work. I've tried searching for a solution but didn't have any luck. I'm hoping to get some help on the support site. I got a surprise in TB email this week. When I'm writing a message, the Edit function appears to be corrupted both when I click Edit and when I click on the text I want to edit. No cut, paste, etc. functions appear anymore. What happened? How do I fix this?
