I'm trying to migrate Thunderbird from my old PC/Windows 10 to my brand-new PC/Windows 10, following the step-by-step instructions on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer. I followed those instructions to the letter (multiple times) but can't get it to work. Are there more recent (and perhaps more complete) instructions to be found elsewhere? Does anyone else have the same?

I have made a copy of my old TB profile folder on a backup stick (it is titled 'Thunderbird', and inside that folder is a folder titled 'Profiles' that contains a number of folders including the most recent profile that I am still using with my old PC. The difficulty is getting this backed up profile info installed on my new 'destination' computer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For the last week, Thunderbird hasn't downloaded the mails from my Strato account. I can still send mails, and read the mails when I log in to Strato. Thunderbird still downloads the mails from my other accounts. It worked fine until now, so I suspect the problem is related either to an automatic Thunderbird update or an automatic Windows (10) update.

One day last week one of three of gmail accounts stopped working in Thunderbird; I can’t send or receive email. I have not changed anything that I know of in either Thunderbird or the Gmail account.

I just checked the email account using a Chrome based browser and it works fine (sends and receives). I have attached three screen shots. Two in Thunderbird and one in browser.

The one from the browser shows I have Thunderbird I have given access to Thunderbird to my gmail account. From the two in Thunderbird one for signing in and the other one with the error and a broken robot drawing is what I get when I select next on signing in.

I am no longer able to receive emails from my office 365 account(was originally a go daddy account). I am able to send emails out and its showing deleted emails for over 10 years ago. I just have nothing on inbox. I have taken everything out and reinstalled, even changed passwords. anyone have a idea how to fix.

Both Outlook and Thunderbird were running on 64bit

Poczta Thunderbird nie ściągą nowych wiadomości, usuwane teraz stare, wracają do folderów głównych. Przy odbieraniu wiadomości pojawia się komunikat jak na zdjęciu. Ostatnia wiadomość pobrano ok. 100razy.

I have just imported my old email from Outlook to TB Local Folders. Everything works out except some of the email (not all) show a wrong date in the email list. The date show a future date like 2/7/2101, 6:28 AM. Please check the attached image. Any idea?

I created a compressed (zip?) file from my prior computer. I have not been able to figure out how to get the data from that file onto my new computer. My primary need is for my tasks and events calendar. I have been able to access email accounts without referencing the compressed/zip file. When I insert the flash drive, a message pops up asking me to "insert the last disk of the multi volume set" I don't understand this request. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me

in the contact field, how do i change the name of a contact field like custom properties or organizational properties to something else? i do not know how to add an image! So, go to address book, new contact, and you will see the fields custom properties and organizational properties towards the bottom.....Thank you...b³
