Note: I could not find the suggested specifications as indicated in the error message!

I did not change anything, the sending error occurred suddenly , all my settings IMAP Mail Server Port 993 SSL/TLS OAuth2 and SMTP Port 465 are still set to default. I changed also the SMTP to an new shown default 587 but non of this settings resolved the problem

"connection to server pop.mail.yahoo.com timed out" I have been getting this message in the activity manager for about a week now. When I click get messages, it says down loading message 1 of 1, but nothing happens.

I have a desktop that is windows 10. I use Mozilla for four email accounts, 3 of my accounts work fine. My problem is with TWC. Emails sent/forward and cant save drafts often fail. When I sign into spectrum webmail, my Mozilla TWC account works again for a while. This started about 2 weeks ago. I'm using version firefox version 151.0.2. I've eliminated Spectrum as being the issue and all my settings are correct. Thoughts?

For some reason all my emails contained in the inbox keep moving to the trash box by themselves. I have to manually move them back to the inbox. This includes read and unread messages. anyone know how to stop this? V 152.0 64 bit.

Hi All,

ok, so just clicked retrieve messages and as they came in we had a power cut.

Rebooted the PC and all messages are there, but 2 copies ... I deleted one copy, but I can't delete the other ..... and they're all empty.

All the highlighted messages in the image will not delete. Any new ones that come in are fine, but these simply won't go away.

Any ideas?

my emails whether they are read or not move on their own from the inbox to the trash folder without being prompted. I have disabled all spam filters and this still happens. I have to manually move them back to the inbox more than once per day. Help! I have had a lot of problems with Tbird since having to re download the program since my last hard drive failed. I'm using Thunderbird 149.02 to make a local copy of all folders, messages and attachments on my yahoo mail account. I don't yet see an obvious way to issue a command to Thunderbird to accomplish this.

I'm using export.imap.mail.yahoo.com as the IMAP server as some of the folders have >10000 messages (none have >100000 messages, and there is no significant real-time email arriving to the account while I do this procedure.)

In settings/offline settings I have "automatically follow detected online state" and "download messages for offline use when going offline [yes].

In account settings/synchronization & storage I have Disk space: Synchronize all messages locally regardless of age"; "to recover disk space, old messages can be permanently deleted..." I have "Don't delete any messages" and "Always keep starred messages"

With these settings, I've tried (from the main menu) File -> Offline > Download/Sync now, then "Download and/or sync..." I have selected Mail Messages, and the Select button takes me to a table where I have selected the main account folder and all sub-folders.

With these settings, Thunderbird appears to go through some of the folders and downloads messages from, them, and after a while says there are no new messages (I don't have the specific text, but it ceases interacting with the server". If I repeat the Download/Sync now procedure, it appears to download more messages, will continue for a while, then stop in the same way.

When I compare the size of Thunderbird's local account folder, it appears to grow after each of these iterations, but is (after half dozen cycles through this) has only reached about 2/3 of the total stoage size reported by Yahoo. While I understand the storage mechanisms would differ significantly between yahoo and Thunderbird, I don't believe I've found a single sure-fire way to accomplish what I set out to do in the first place (which is get a complete copy, through IMAP, of all emails, folders and attachments.

What am I missing?

Mozzilla fonctionne mais je ne peux plus faire "envoyer" mes mails. C'est terrible d'autant que n'y comprends rien . Je rédige-sur la page "Rédaction" et après il n'y a plus de case "Envoyer." par contre je reçois les mails J'ai glané les infos au bout de 2 jours  : IMAP Je sui "Orange" Sortant SMTP/SSL/TLS port 459 Entrant SMTP/SSL/TLS port 995 et quelque part  : version 140.II.Iesr  ? Vous pensez que c'est grave ? ça fait 10 ans que ça fonctionnait

I have all my past emails in specific folders within Windows Mail currently. I have three email accounts. I want to set up Thunderbird and import all the folders of emails into it and access all three accounts from within Thunderbird. I have a Master computer running windows, a tablet and a phone. I would like each device to be able to access all the email accounts and the stored folder tree within Thunderbird. I would like the Master computer to be set up with POP3 for all accounts so I can archive those I need to keep. I would like the tablet and the phone to be able to see and interact with the emails via imap so that when the Master is opened it downloads everything for processing. Do I need to set up each device separately with accounts being either imap or pop3 accordingly? will they all sync together? Thanks for your input.

Firefox on this Windows 10 computer stopped providing an email Send option about 2 weeks ago. I still receive all messages fine, but must use Firefox on an older windows 7 computer to send emails. What can I do? Other internet receive and send functions are still working. The problem is only with email.

Every time I send a message, it duplicates itself. Any help in removing this problem in the settings will be appreciated. Please keep in mind I'm not that savvy with settings so if you can keep this simple like me, that would be great. I'm using version 151.0 64-bit on Windows 10. Hopefully someone be able to help me resolve this problem.

bei der Neueinrichtung auf einem neuen Rechner fehlt mir der Ordner für gesendete Mails.

Ich habe die Anwendung auch schon komplett deinstalliert und wieder aufgespielt. Hat sich leider nicht geändert.

Was kann ich noch machen?

I am no longer getting emails on Thunderbird on my computer though I do get them e.g. on my iPad, and I can email out. Is that a problem with Thunderbird or with Bell my service provider?

Later this week I'll need to copy a bunch of old emails to someone (some of them received by me and some sent by me). Does Thunderbird have such a feature or is the easiest way to print them on paper and resort to snail mail?
