View/Folders menu will not allow any selection but Recent

When TB starts up, the only folders I can see are Recent. I can go to View/Folders and click ALL, and as soon as I move the mouse away from that menu item, it switches back to Recent. This started on version 115.09, but persists after I've "upgraded" to 115.10.1.

It has now (5/3/24 17:25 CDT) been 2-1/2 days since I submitted this problem, and no one has responded that it has even been noticed, much less solved. One of my two email accounts is a POP3, and the other is IMAP. The IMAP account Inbox doesn't even show up on the TB home screen. (If that info is of any help).

PLEASE ADVISE. My emails are an integral part of my business, and I cannot get to almost any them.

I just asked this question a few minutes ago. This is a correction. It's only the font size in my signature that has shrunk since the latest Thunderbird update. The image in the signature is still the same size as it was before the update. I would like to know HOW to make the signature font size the same as the message font size.

remove version 115 then replace with version 102

I had version 102:15:1 up and running after I had new terrible version 115 removed. Now during an update TB/Mozilla reverted me back to 115. Now I do not seem to be able to downgrade back to 102:15:1 again. WHY Help would be gratefully received. Thanks

The height of the viewing panel for emails is far too small. I can only see a couple of lines of text at the most and am unable to reduce the height of the incoming list of emails as previously in order to increase the height of the viewing panel. I have been helped to increase the font size of the overall layout so that I can now read it better but the green button to declare that my problem has been solved tells me that the page isn't working!

You write that you can no longer send outgoing messages.

Try viewing your outgoing server details in your Thunderbird Software.

These settings are set as they are normally set for use.

After an update, some miscommunication could have arisen, resulting in a situation similar to yours.

Together we can see whether this can be completed so that it works as it should again.

Can you send me a screenshot of your outgoing SMTP server settings for email use? This is probably installed in your Thunderbird software on your desktop.

Hello, I am seeking to get the latest version of Mozilla Thunderbird approved on my employer's enterprise. There is currently a big push to support American products so my job requires confirmation of Country of Origin, ie an official document or letter, from the software company to provide proof that any software requested is sourced from either the United States or friendly partners (https://gsa.federalschedules.com/resources/taa-designated-countries/)

If someone from Mozilla could provide an official letter to me confirming that Mozilla products are primarily developed and/or transformed in the US or its partners that would greatly appreciated as no new software will be approved without this.

Fresh laptop, fresh install of TB.

When trying to connect email@example.com (not really my email), TB correctly detects that my domain is hosted at Google, configures IMAP and SMTP for OAuth2, and pops up the window to authenticate.

Instead of an authentication prompt, I'm met with this error:

I posted a couple days ago, but what I posted was confusing and convoluted, so I am trying to be more concise this time. I need to have the Thunderbird (TB) eMail on both my work and home computer. It is already on my work computer and I have copied the TB eMail to a USB according to what I found on here, and have checked and all the files appear on the USB. I have tried to get the TB eMail on my home computer now, with that USB, but can not, no matter what I try. I have downloaded the TB eMail from the Mozilla site to my home computer several times; deleted it to try again; and have cleared everything out every time I do. However EVERY time now, I am getting an error message that the Profile Setting Can Not Be Found.....specifically it says " Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." in a pop up window. I don't know how to get rid of this so that it does not pop up every time - because again, it pops every time even after I delete the TB completely. If someone could guide me on how to get the TB on my home computer without that popping up, and how to proceed from there, because I do have all those files on the USB, it would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thank you in advance for any help!!!!!

Thunderbird is completely unusable in the latest release. Attempting to set up a gmail based account results in

"Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Thunderbird detected a potential security threat and did not continue to 192.168.1.250. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details."

That's it. No options, no explanation, no KB articles, nothing. It just doesn't work. But why is Thunderbird trying to open a web connection to my local machine? If it's trying to talk to itself, why can't it? This is clearly an issue with trying to authenticate to Google as it happens after auth, but come on, this is a given requirement these days. If your app doesn't work out of the box (MacOS 13 btw), it may as well not exist for the OS, so this is very confusing.

Trying out older versions was a real comedy of failures as well. Too old and it's just a disaster. Too new and it just self updated to 115 again which doesn't work. So kinda seems like this is not a functional app anymore, at least not on Mac. Baffling. I guess it can only be used with legacy style email systems.

Now with version 115.0, I am having issues getting it to work.

the CSS file I am using is

  1. threadTree > treechildren {
 font-size: 16pt !important;
 font-family: Times !important;
 background-color: lightgrey !important;
 color: navy !important;

}

  1. folderTree > treechildren {
 font-size: 16pt !important;
 font-family: Times !important;
 background-color: lightgrey !important;

} after I follow the instructions, carefully, nothing happens. see screenshot attached...

I have 2 questions:

1 - what am i doing wrong? 2 - In the attached screenshot, how can I get rid of that toolbar in green on the left?

I've changed my ISP's mail server password, and it's correct in Saved Logins, but I can't send mail because I need to change the SMTP password. My SMTP account is listed correctly, but it doesn't appear in the Saved Logins list. So I can't update its password. How can I get my SMTP account added to the Saved Logins list?

I'm sorry if this topic has already been answered.....and I know it has.....but I have been reading and trying things for almost 3 hours.....I need help!!! I have at work the Thunderbird eMail that goes through a different server. I followed the directions and copied the "Moving Thunderbird Data to a New Computer" to a flash drive. I used that and have all the files that were on it, now on my at home computer. It appears that everything is good up to that point. I even get the window that shows that Thunderbird recognized my other server's setup, however when I choose "OK" it gives me an error message that it is already on the server. I can see the Thunderbird email system on my home computer. But I can't get it to show any of the emails that I know are there from my work computer and I can't get it to download. I'm not sure if I have been clear enough, but I hope either someone can help me with what I have provided--or provide me with directions on how to do the install--EASY directions--because I'm unable to follow what I have found so far. And a reminder--I do still have all the files that I copied to the flash drive--so I could start all over again, and it would not be a problem. THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!

I just want everyone to know, I will NEVER again update Thunderbird. I do not like the constantly changing layouts. I do not like layouts changing without my consent or knowledge. You are NOT user friendly any more. While some may like your approach, I do not. Frankly it seems that most software is becoming less and less user friendly and more like, do it Thunderbird's way or else. I hope someday, someone will put out a simple email client similar to your older issues. Also, I do not like the continual nagging to update.

Hello, My email signature does not work properly in Thunderbird. I'm using the html code shown below and in the attached screen shot image, and while the text displays properly, the image never displays (also shown in screenshot image). I tried a bunch of things I found in help for related threads, but nothing has worked so far. I have no issues with my signature in Google mail on my desktop or Apple mail on my iphone. It works perfectly on those email client. I'm using 115.6.0 with Build ID 20231215200246 on a Macbook Pro. Please advise.

Inbox corruption getting worse

A few days ago I posted here that my inbox was corrupt. At that time most of the December incoming emails were spoiled and inaccessible.

Now the failure has spread back all the way to the beginning of the inbox -- incoming emails from 2017 and 2018 which I had kept there for lack of a better place to put them.

What can I do? Other than stop using Thunderbird?! I am on Beta, would it help to go to the normal version?

How would I do that?

I have lost hundreds of incoming emails, valuable ones by definition (i.e. because I chose to keep them).

I am using 1220b1 (32-bit) in Windows 10.
