On opening Tbird I have started getting a Google pop up asking me to sign in to Google to continue to Tbird. This is just annoying as I can access all my email accounts without signing in to Google. I just have to close the annoying pop up every time I open Tbird. How can I stop this happening?

Upon startup, top email displayed is the 2nd email present in the inbox. If 1st email is one at top when leaving TB, next startup will show the 2nd email on top. You can then scroll up and see the top one. Likewise, if a new email come in, it also shows the one below that as the top one and must scroll up to see it. No emails are lost, just a display thing. Don't recall which version this started, but it didn't use to do this.

My BT email works fine for both receiving and sending so the problem is with Thunderbird outgoing mail settings

Cox has recently given their email to yahoo. While the cox.net email works on yahoo mail when I tried to configure my cox.net email address on tbird mail it failed Will my cox.net email address once again work on tbird mail Thank you

Hello, I own and operate my own business in the automotive repair sector however my direct computer knowledge is not sufficient in many cases. My issue is that my Gmail and Thunderbird is linked to send messages to my clients for estimate purposes. Incoming mail to Gmail as well as outgoing from Gmail gets copied into Thunderbird. Assuming that Thunderbird had so many emails on the screen I asked the internet on how to do a mass email delete. Now I assume "that" is the reason why all my labels/folders are now empty I can both Gmail and Thunderbird? These folders held important invoices, contact information and just important information for me to go back into should a situation require it. How do I recover all of my deleted messages in Thunderbird? Will this repopulate the folders with my missing information?? The individual who set it up for me is an expert in the field however I am unable to make any contact with him. He's not responding to any of my messages or calls. Please help. Now please remember I am very ignorant when it comes to this type of experience. Please provide me with the most elementary explanations for this recovery process. Good news For some months now, I have stayed on a much earlier version of 115. Today I updated to the latest available... no issues arising so I happily conclude that Tbird is stable.

I have changed my BT password and now can't send emails via Thunderbird. I can send them with BT though. This is the answer I get when I try to send an email -

''Sending of the message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.btinternet.com. Please check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'.''

When I check my outgoing server settings I get this -

I'm kicking the tires on this and the biggest obstacle for me right now is that when I view the calendar in a week view, the day starts at midnight. I would like to hide midnight to 6am.

I followed these steps, that did not work:

1. Navigate to the hamburger menu in the upper right corner. 2. Select settings. 3. In the calendar tab, I changed day starts to 6am, and day ends to 9pm.

There is no way to save this, so I assume it just works. However, when I navigate back to the calendar, nothing has changed. The day still starts at midnight.

Am I possibly looking in the wrong place? Is there a way to customize this as I've described?

my email will go offline while in use or while other internet programs working fine and only allows "send later". sometimes comes back shortly other times can be hours later. How can I check status and bump it back online without having to shut down and lose work.

After recent update to Thunderbird 115.11.0, I can't send emails through my hotmail smtp server.

Error message: Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp-mail.outlook.com timed out. Try again.

I read the Thunderbird update for 2024 information that recommends changing Normal Password to OAuth, but OAuth is not an option on the drop down list of methods. (see attached)

How do I fix this? Thanks

I've been getting error messages when I send emails using thunderbird about server timing out. As a last resort I tried removing all accounts, and just set it up again. But then I started getting the error message during manual configuration step "Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account". I've already tried creating a new profile I'm still getting the same error.

here's the manual configuration I'm working with Incoming: IMAP, port 993, SSL/TLS, Normal password Outgoing: port 587, STARTTLS, Normal password

our team uses GoDaddy for email domains - not sure if that's relevant or not. other teammates have been able to set it up successfully. Same configuration, account and password.

Thunderbird seems to be hung up in a circular reference. It continues to download 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 repetitively, nonstop. This is continues process without ceasing. It seems be slowing do the whole system.

Thunderbird refuses to connect to Gmail with password. Fresh install of Thunderbird. New password (triple verified I'm using the same password) OAuth2 enabled Gmail account entered correctly, Thunderbird contacts Gmail, secondary authentication text sent and verified, refuses to connect.

Outlook Office 365 - works gmail.com - works Thunderbird - "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password"
