All of a sudden when I try to send an email I get the error that the above IP is black listed. My partner gets the same error. We are both with Telstra Bigpond.
Today they asked for a Donation I will do this If it is what the Problem is ?

I am struggling with Gmail and Yahoo mail account in TB these few days. I hit almost the same errors from both. I generated app password for Yahoo mail, and put it in when setting up new account. For connection security: SSL/TLS For authentication method: tried with Normal password, Encrypted password, and OAuth2 However, I am seeing the expected authentication window pop up when trying the OAuth2. For all three authentication method: errors are always the same --- unable to connect to your IMAP server. I've followed another instruction to change maximum number of server connections to cache into 1 or 10. Error messages were the same imap one. So, what should I do/try for next?

I have 3 machines with Thunderbird. A while back I noticed that I had duplicate folders for sent mail (Sent & Sent Mail) and for Drafts. (Drafts and Drafts) I did a search and found a discussion from 2019, but nothing more recent. That one kinda lost me. I just got a new machine and installed Thunderbird again. My Gmail account on the new machine shows the same dual folders. Hopefully someone here can detail a solution in steps for a moron like myself.
Subject really says it all. I'd like to import ALL of my subfolders. The two it has chosen are small and rarely used. How do I import the rest.
I am needing to move my saved emails/folders over to Apple Mail any help on doing this would be greatly appreciated. MacOS Catalina 10.15.7

So I have multiple email accounts. When using folder mode I want to show all the email account inboxes in the unified inbox interface. All but one email account inbox shows up. I do see the email where are the email addresses are showing. But not in the unified inbox area. why is that?
Settings When i go to Folder Mode - Enable, Unified Folders result: all accounts except 1 shows up. question: why wouldn't that account only not show up? And how do I fix it?

emails load very slowly or the app stalls & doesn't respond. Often I have to tap twice to open an email. When deleting an email it can take a couple seconds especially when deleting multiple. I can hit the delete button several time & have to wait several seconds for it to finally catch up. This has been happening for a few months now & is getting worse. Sometimes the pictures in the message load one at a time. It was working right, then one day it started lagging & hasn't been right since.
I need a pathway back to using the account with t-bird. This is not computer specific. Thank you in advance

Moved to new country (UK) took TB data with me as instructed. Installed TB did put in email data. Uploaded TB data as per instructions. Opened TB and put in email password etc. All my current emails show up no problems and email account appears to work but none of the uploaded data appears even though it took 15 min to upload. It feels like it was uploaded to the 'wrong' place but I uploaded the data it to the TB folder as instructed. Any idea what I did wrong??

With the moving of Cox emails to Yahoo would it be feasible for Thunderbird to put an instruction list(with screenshots) of how to get all our TB email accounts from Cox to TB? Do we have to delete all our TB email accounts and re-enter them into TB under the new Yahoo or can we just change the server settings on the existing Cox settings? If just changing server settings what are the settings for the new yahoo? All my accounts are IMAP so if instructions could be made, maybe one for IMAP and one for POP for those who use either. Every year I am required to update my university's net id password. Normally T'bird responds asking for a password update. Not this year; I am just cut off.
I followed all instructions from the T-help site. But it is impossible to update the "saved password." "edit" is not allowed.
When T-bird did ask me to connect via Google, see the screen shot, the next screen locks with a 403 error message, also attached.
I would like to continue to use Tbird, but this is making it impossible. My university's IT people had me download the T-bird again, but the problem persists.
Please advise soon.

Since installing Ubuntu 23.10 on my new desktop pc, Thunderbird is failing to see the account details in .thunderbird I copied all the files from my backup into a new account directory (/home/cfi/.thunderbird/y4xyxmli.default), a technique that has worked many times in the past, but not this time. Previously, thunderbird has simply taken the settings from the backed up files and used those to connect to my organisation's mail server. Any ideas? How can I force Thunderbird to read the old account settings?

I am attempting to transition to Thunderbird. I have become quickly familiar with the HTML/CSS underlying the UI, and with the older userChrome.css structure for personal customization.
However, I can not figure out how to change the default background color of the message composition window -- which exists in a separate window from the main message viewer window -- from #2a2a2e to basic white.
Cracking open a copy of omni.ja in the app package, the only ID that I can find that seem to possibly be relevant is #messageArea, found in the following .css files:
chrome/classic/skin/classic/messenger/messageQuotes.css chrome/classic/skin/classic/messenger/shared/editorContent.css chrome/classic/skin/classic/messenger/shared/messengercompose.css
I have tried to override the default #2a2a2e color of the message composition area in my userChrome.css file, but to no success. (By contrast, it was easy to change the background color of the message viewing area with #messagePane)
I have tried the obvious step of changing the background color to white in the color settings option. Even after multiple app restarts, this setting does not affect the dark grey default background of the composition window.
Is there a name to this window div and a class or ID that i could access and customize through my userChrome.css file?

The program says I now have 11 emails which haven't been opened but there are no emails to open, just emails received previously. Apparently I am receiving but they are not visible to me. what happened and how to fix. I'm an amateur and don't understand computer commands.
