Not sure what upgrade this happened but the Cc and Bcc are now on the From line and you have to click one of them to send a Cc or Bcc whereas before all you had to do is tab and you would get other To line and could just type the C for the Cc or B for Bcc. Now I have to take my hands off the keyboard and move to the mouse, and then back. We need to go back to the old way which was faster and easier.

Just wondering how to set Thunderbird email to automatically capitalise and use correct punctuation in Version 78 ?

Can find addons for much much earlier versions but not this one.

I use Print Preview to scan suspect incoming TB messages prior to opening the email. Print Preview is no longer shown as an option on TB.

Can I install Print Preview?

With the most recent update of Mozilla Thunderbird Email (at end of September and beginning of October 2021) I find that right-clicking on an unopened message and choosing "Print Preview" (which allowed me to view a suspicious email without opening it) is no longer an option.

Why? I need and use "Print Preview".

Now I have to open every email whereas I didn't have to before and I don't like that. It's not as safe and secure.

Is there any way "Print Preview" can be put back? I use it every day.

I recently updated to Thunderbird 91.1.2 and I really like most of it but there is one feature that I would like to restore from previous versions. I preferred it when the attachments pane was in the top right corner. Now it has been moved below the message (when composing a message) and for me it's more difficult to keep track of my attachments. Is there a way to move in back? Thanks for your help

We had a recent Thunderbird update today and our mail merge no longer works. We use a template with '{{email}}' in the 'To' field of the template and Thunderbird is trying to validate this as a valid address. I have tried a number of things without success. This is a critical part of our business and is used daily.

Within the last few days Tbird has suddenly started using 24hr time format for everything; both message dates and the calendar rather than the desired 12hr AM/PM. I've made no changes and can't figure out how to change it back. Possibly caused by an update to either Thunderbird, Linux Mint or the Linux kernel, all of which occur pretty regularly - can't say. Only update that looks like it could possibly be causing it is tzdata update from 2021a-0ubuntu0.18.04 to 2021a-2ubuntu0.18.04 on 2021-10-06.

Since last update to Thunderbird 91.2.0 (32-bit), buttons close, minimize and restore are not visible. They still work, just not visible in dark and light theme. They are only visible in system theme. I have read number of posts in the forums but had not find a solution for this.

At one time in the recent past Thunderbird allowed one to create custom headers and footers for printouts of Draft and Sent emails.

No longer.

After the latest update, I was perusing the right-hand column of the Print window. I found the check boxes for Options: Print Headers and Footers.

I unclicked that box... the headers and footers disappeared.

I clicked the box again...

the footer came back as it has looked before: page number on the left, date and time on the right.

the header came back... instead of Subject line on the left, filename thread on the right.... with JUST the Subject... in the MIDDLE.

I haven't yet found any means for changing the print header back.

Please help.

I'm using the FileLink feature with DropBox as the repository. First time using this example of the excellent product that TB is.

I'm having trouble getting it to handle all of the attached files of an email message. I have 5 files in the attachement pane: ATTACHMENT PANE first image below I click on al 5 of the attachements, but It only uploads 2 of them to DropBox. ATTACHMENT PANE AFTER FILELINK second image below

What am I doing wrong? Is there a restriction on the total size of attachment using FileLink?

Thunderbird 91.2.0 comes with a new integrated PDF viewer. This might be nice for some people, but I'm using Acrobat Pro along with other editors and designers to comment PDFs. I want my PDFs to open in Acrobat.

Is there a way to turn this feature off?

Hi, the recent update of Firefox is much less user friendly. I particularly don't like that the attachments panel is at the bottom, top right is a much better position. How can I make it so that the attachments panel is back at the rop right where it should be? Also for some reason, now I am gettin constant alerts for new messages, every 10 minutes it tells me about the same two new messages that came some time ago... why is this happening?

I often receive spoof messages saying that my account has been hacked and which demand bitcoin payments. The subject line is "Message need your participation in processing :You have an outstanding payment." These are "hacked" to appear to come from my own email address so they do not get trapped by ordinary spam engines. I set up a filter for the subject line using all of this subject line to be deleted but that didn't work. I tried it for the subject line simply beginning with "Message" and that didn't work either. Has the rest of the header been hacked in a way that means Thunderbird isn't picking up the expected information and thus not actually working on the alledged subject line. I notice that the bit of the subject line from the ":" onwards isn't actually showing in the header that appears in the email when it is in the "inbox". Curious

Per those instructions.... ¶ When I try resizing a column, the entire window moves. ¶ When I try moving a column, the entire window moves. ¶ When I try adding a column, nothing happens.

I'm using Thunderbird 91.2.0 on Windows 10. I've tried rebooting Windows and re-installing Thunderbird, but neither fixes the problem.

All of these things were working within the last few weeks. The failure might be correlated with the latest Thunderbird installation.

I can resize columns in OpenOffice Calc, so this doesn't appear to be a problem with the mouse driver.

Thunderbird recently updated it looks like, and I used to have the ability to highlight multiple emails, right click and print. It would bring up a dialog box and now the print option is greyed out with multiple emails highlighted. Still able to print single emails, but it brings up a print preview instead of the normal print dialog box. Any help is appreciated!

On the MSWin10 version of Thunderbird (91.2.0) I can get the menu bar and tabs to display, but the menus are being shoved into the titlebar. How do you get the menubar to show *below* the titlebar? There used to be a setting to change this, but it seems to be missing from the settings window now (did a search within settings, and nothing is found).

Comcast email come in with a red outline around the body and a yellow box at the bottom stating that it can't be forwarded to me. Gmail reception perfect. But, I can't duplicate the settings on the Comcast side.... can you help ?
