when I reply to a message, my response is put at the bottom of the message, instead of at the top of the email. I prefer for my reply to be at the top of the email

For sending out Email messages, I have a few "sent by" addresses. I added these a while ago, but can't remember how to add additional addresses. If anyone has an idea, I would appreciate it. I tried to check through Mozilla support but didn't seem to find the right response.

Selecting view->Folders->Unified does not keep unified selected. It doesn't change anything and when looking at the option again, the "All" is still selected.

Is there a way to extract attachments from TB in bulk? I've tried using AttachmentExtractor 1.3.5.1 but it keeps stopping to ask if I should rename an attachment, and even though I check the box 'do this for all attachments" so it can just keep going, instead it keeps stopping with the same screen, asking what to do next.

Hello, I tried to setup a notification sound when a new message arrives, but it doesn't seem to be working.

I checked this guide: https://support.mozilla.org/bg/questions/1119690 and made sure everything is the same, but it still does not work.

The sounds in the volume mixer is turned on and I also tried with the plugin "Mailbox Alert", but didn't work again.

I just upgraded an old Outlook 6.x express to TB.

To my surprise the mail filter apparantly misses an essential functionality.

You cannot filter a mail address on it's domain, but only on the entire mail-address.

So instead a single filter on "@hotels.com", You must create a filer one each (new) name that appears, like

offers@hotels.com last_chance@hotels.com spam@hotels.com etc... etc...

And especially those ...pain-in-the-a***... rayban sunglass spammers, that change name every week cannot be filtered (thay know that TB misses this, so thats why thay do it).

This lack of funcionality is allso decribed in the online doc. with the use of the "from" and "is" in the filter rules, which only takes the full address.

COME ON MOZILLA - make the (simple) patch, so We can sort out an entire domain instead of that bird-picking.

I thought I upgraded from Outlook Express, but apparantly not, because this functionality has been there since ages...

Previously, when I wanted to send a photo or document, if I right click on that document i get an option to "send to mail recipient". That option would open Thunderbird, and a fresh compose e-mail. Now, it opens Thunderbird, but not the compose e-mail. What happened. I have just downloaded 52.0.1 I am not sure what version I was on before.

Thunderbird version 128.3.1 In the new message window when I move my cursor over the email address list my Windows titlebar orange color shows up as half transparent. When I click on an address it uses my light blue color I use in the main window for hover and selected. #52aaff

Question: How to change the hover color in the new email window to match what I have in the main window?

I'm trying to create a signature text with a paragraph break.

The instructions and samples I find all show text where just hitting return apparently does the trick, e.g.:

When I space down (hit return) for a new line, it looks fine in the Tools/Accounts blank that I'm filling in. But when I open a fresh email to start writing, all the lines are smushed into one paragraph.

I've tried hitting return twice - no luck.

Am I running into some kind of character limit? My sig text is in essence a tiny FAQ about our company, with information every new contact will ask of us. Certainly not enough for a template; it's about five sentences. I'm trying to space down (paragraph break) before the last sentence - example:

"Our company deals in widget, thingies, and stuff. We have affiliates nationwide, with distribution centers in Hoboken, Newcastle, and French Lick. New affiliates are welcome. Best times to call us are midnight, midnight, and midnight, Sunday through Monday.

Our website doesn't work but our heart is in the right place."

It looks just like that when I'm creating it. On a new email, it looks like this:

I'd create a v-card but I don't like sending introductory emails with an attachment. Besides, I'm curious why this isn't working!

I've been plagued from the beginning by the similarity of the terms 'Junk' and 'Trash,' so I figured I'd rename the Junk folder 'Spam.' Right-clicking on the folder suggests this is possible, but when I type in 'Spam,' the folder simply disappears from the list. So I restart Thunderbird and 'Junk' is back on the list. Is it possible to rename this folder, and what is the procedure? Many thanks!

I can not get thunderbird to stop opening a web page on start up. Deselect the "when thunderbird launches......." but it is turned back on once I close and restart

I am considering moving to Thunderbird from MS Outlook. I want the rules I have already setup in Outlook to work in Thunderbird. Is this possible & if so how do I make it work.

Whenever I reply to an email, Thunderbird inserts a detailed email header above the message to which I am replying. How do I minimize that info to Date-time, Sender, Receiver, and Subject?

I've tried all sorts of suggestions but I can't get the background on "messages" display to revert to the white it has always been till today! I don't recall making any computer changes that might have affected the background display on inbox messages and change it from what it has always been--black print on white background. In every text editor I've ever used for the last 25 years, typing a number and then a period will automatically turn on paragraph numbering. Or typing a * or - at the start of a line will create a bulleted list. How can I have this behaviour with Thunderbird?

Currently my only solution is to use the mouse and toolbar, which really slows down writing an e-mail. I also looked for keyboard shortcuts, but couldn't find any.

I have been using Thunderbird for many years and on my desktop PC the inbox display has never changed. I also have a laptop that has the email account that has the same display. Yesterday the laptop did some type of Window 10 update changes occurred. Many of my application icons disappeared and when I opened Thunderbird the screen layout had changed. There is only one column with massages and the cant be sorted by sender of date etc. Have you changed the program and, if so, why doe it not change on my desktop but become very inefficient on a laptop. Thank you.
