In previous versions of Thunderbird it would just load, how can I get email content to show up again?

All old e-mails in inbox was missed from outlook, win mail and yahoo mail sever, It happens when I open Thunderbird post client. Firs I can see all emails, but next it was disappeared. I worried about thunderbird interment my yahoo account in yahoo server and cleaned all my old emails in inbox there. Possible, I click "yes" some question in Thunderbird mail client during receiving e-mails, when I must not to do. Could you please help me on recovering my old emails in yahoo server or Thunderbird server and solve the problem. Sorry for my English. Ali Nabiyev

As mentioned in a previous note, searches in my inbox freeze for 10 minutes after TB upgraded to esr. All work on email also stops. At least I want to cancel the search, but I can't find any shortcut. All I can do is close TB through the task manager and lose any unsaved emails. Is there a way to interrupt a frozen search?

Máme problém so zobrazovaním mailov. Náš klient keď zobrazí mail , tak namiesto obsahu mu na 3-4 mailov zobrazuje fotku...

I would very much like Thunderbird to be my main email program on my MacBook Pro. However, Thunderbird feels very slow compared to Apple Mail or MailMate.

Installed software:

• Thunderbird 128.1.1esr (64-bit)
• macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 (23G93)

Some examples of slow:

• when using keyboard `down` key to go over each message in a folder, displaying the selected email can't keep up with me going over the list.
• when using the mouse, sometimes selecting an email message (left-click and hold) is processed fractions of a second later. I have to wait for the visual rendering of the selected image before moving my mouse to drop the message somewhere else.

Is there a development track to improve the speed of Thunderbird (on macOS)?

In a former version of Thunderbird, selecting the "Quick Filter" button would cause an extra bar below the search filter to appear with various different icons you could press to filter messages by whether they had an attachment, whether they were starred, etc.

Now, it seems the default is instead to hide all of these options a bit inconveniently in a small "settings"-like button dropdown, with only words rather than helpful icons. To boot, this button is strangely aligned to the topleft, giving it very irregular padding that makes it feel a bit janky.

How can I get back the original behavior? It felt far more intuitive and required much less precise clicking.

Is it possible to query the commandline options (especially the version) of firefox and thunderbird?

the only way i found out is to query windows registry: reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla Firefox" /s | findstr /I main reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla Thunderbird" /s | findstr /I main

The goal is: backup firefox and thunderbird profiles via script/batch and read the version for a later restore.

Since 8/31/24 I have been getting messages on all devices when I attempt to open my email account saying "Correct credentials needed. Enter credentials for islandlar@hawaii.rr.com." However, my password is not accepted and no option is provided for "forgot password." Any guidance around this dilemma would be appreciated.

Hi Guys, I wonder if you can help . I have had Monzilla Thunderbird App for some while , primarily used for email, and access to my email account with Microsoft and has always been a bit of a pain to say the least. That I fear is because it was never set up properly by myself in the first place.

However, at the moment I can't receive any email from my PC ......."bards@btconnect.com " unless I sign in via a webpage. However, access via my smartphone using supplied Outlook email app, no problem.

So I am hopeful that you guys can help me sort out my PC access once and for all.

The current problem has arisen after receiving a forced donation / subscription page from Mozilla having made my donation I still do not have access to my email and folders.

Brief history: i. Originally PC access to account via Monzilla working fine, (donations made at intervals to Monzilla). ii. Microsoft then changed security systems and servers and with current setup at the time I couldn't get access to email incoming or outgoing ( problem with Imap / PoP3 servers). iii. Fix provided by Monzilla with new account denoted as .... bards@btconnect.com (OWL) whatever OWL stands for I do not know, (annual subscription required). iv. Even with the use of this get around , I still had problems sending mail this I believe was a problem down to default passwords and old server settings. (confliction between default settings and original account settings and use of OWL ? ). v. As mentioned above the current problem has arisen after receiving a forced donation / subscription page from Mozilla having made my donation I still do not have access to my email. problem with server settings again. Don't know what's going on ? and I am thoroughly confused and would appreciate some help getting things back on track. Thunderbird keeps crashing. That is about all that I can tell you. It started this morning (/when I got to work I fist noticed it). I have not used any add ons. I have been submitting crash reports. Crash data avaiable on request. I uninstalled and re installed, same result; crashes immediately on start up.

Please assist.

You have recently released version Thunderbird 128.1.1 in which you have changed the Compact View so that it is effectively no longer a Compact View, because the spaces have been increased between the Folders in the sidebar folder pane. I have been using Thunderbird for a couple of months and really liked the Compact View but now it has been spoiled. I don't understand why it was necessary to change this, and would be grateful if you would please revert the Compact View to how it appeared in version 115

Why every time i run thunderbird and if i leave it open too often it bring me the error message for all hotmail/outlook mail accounts i have???

What the heck is happening and how i can solve this?

I have had a few emails that did not show up in the inbox listing, so the message count at the top indicated more messages than were listed. Doing a search showed them, and by moving them from the search results to another folder, and then re-searching and moving them back, caused most of them to appear. But not all - I still have a message count of 20, but only 19 listed, see photo 1. Photo 2 shows the hidden email (from Barry Chandler). So the email is there, it's just not visible!
