Hello, The application password provided by GMX Mail is not accepted when creating the account in Thunderbird. I replaced the real password for the screenshot of course. Does anyone have a solution?

I have accidentally deleted the folder for thunderbird portable that was on a USB drive. There is no recycle bin on the drive and I haven't written anything to it since I realised my mistake. Is there and easy way to recover everything?

I recently signed up for thunderbird free mail but I have been charged $10.90 on my PAYPAL account on a continuing monthly auto pay basis which I have cancelled. Why this charge?

I put some messages into folders yesterday and then created another folder and dragged the first folder into it to become a subfolder.

When I did this, I saw the new folder but it couldn’t be expanded to show the subfolders.

All other mail clients showed the correct hierarchy except Thunderbird.

Why is this happening?

Secondly, I post comments on the thunderbird blog regularly but they never show up. Where are they disappearing to? Are you receiving them?

My Macbook Pro has been crashing - sometimes Firefox, sometimes Thunderbird -sometimes multiple times/day. I've saved many of the crash reports in case they might help someone know how to fix this. An Apple tech person diagnosed my memory was broken, so I just got a new logic board and reinstalled all my data from my Time Machine backup. Then a message popped up that Thunderbird was damaged and should be put in the trash. Around the same time i replied to an email from someone at Thunderbird donor who was responding to a question i had about a small donation i tried to make - i explained i was having trouble with Thunderbird. At that time, i could see the Thunderbird icon in my task bar. When talking with someone from Apple support this evening who was helping me answer a couple of questions, including about a new "mail" icon that showed up in my task bar, I mentioned that i'd like to learn how to back up or archive my emails in Thunderbird. That's when i saw that the Thunderbird icon - had disappeared. The Apple support person and i searched all over my computer for the Thunderbird app, but couldn't find it. I'm really nervous. I have over 300,000 emails I've been wanting to learn how to archive - or something. I don't want to delete most of them. I hope someone can help me find everything. Thank you.

Can't seem to get thunderbird to connect to my xfinity (comcast.net) email... tried full reinstalls, changing the password, and all the steps in this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1437228

As well as trying "normal password" instead of OAuth2. The OAuth2 option does not seem to generate a pop-up to authorize that way. Using other 3rd party and logging in via browser also work.

Does thunderbird need to update something to fix the issue? Its been only a few weeks now for me that this was an issue.

Hello. Thunderbird asks me to authenticate an already deleted account. I checked cookies, saved e-males settings, even self-loaded scripts. Cleand profile data dir. I found nothing. I didn't find anything related to the deleted account. Tried this https://support.mozilla.org/ru/questions/1465342. But the software is still requesting credentials. Please help, need a solution.
