hi, I'm using the same TB Calendar setup for a while (3 years), in February 2024, calendar sync became erratic with showing under TB Calendar a warning : your agenda is temporarily unavailable, some events did not sync . but for the last couple of days, I'm unable to sync any events from my yahoo calendar towards TB calendar. the tbsync shows OK, reports no errors in log. could you help please , this is quite urgent matter for me. Dear Sir or Madam,

I have come a long way using linux but there is one thing I am missing dearly in Thunderbird Calendar: I want to see the next x days to move around my appointments if needed and to see my future days. On Wednesday I don't need to see the past two days but Monday and Tuesday of the next week, so I can use the time without switching to a month view or move my calendar around.

Is this hard to implement?

I'm moving away from proprietary platforms and am setting up Thunderbird to manage my calendars. My calendars are hosted on a Synology and synced via caldav.

Sync seems OK, but interface-wise, I cannot find a way to have my events showing their location, directly from the calendar view (even daily).Clicking on the event, the location shows, but I really need to see them directly from the day or week view (I'm a teacher, so at a glance, I need to know in which class my next lesson is).

Is there a way to set this up, or a feature to be requested?

Calendar page does not fit on display window. Display is set at 100% (recommended) This was not a problem on previous versions. Day columns are wider. Can not find a way to adjust.

I recently upgraded my Thunderbird client to v102. The calendar export options have changed and when reviewing the Release Notes Release Notes I note in the "Changed" - Support for importing and exporting calendars from Outlook CSV format was removed

This has significantly impacted my usage. This is where my timesheets are created / stored. This format is excellent for further analysis and billing. To use html or ics is very limiting and problematic for such purposes.

From what I have found online, all ics to csv convertible tools are a extremely poor substitute

Can this be reversed or can someone suggest an add-on to remedy this situation ?

After moving from Win 10 to Win 11, I exported my TB calendar events on the Win 10 PC, and imported them on the Win 11 PC. Now I can't edit or delete the imported events. The "edit" and "delete" tasks are greyed out.

I run a. Thunderbird v 78.14.0 (64-bit) on a Macbook Pro 13"mid 2012 with Mac OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite) b. Thunderbird v 115.5.1 (64-bit) on a Macbook Pro 15" mid 2012 with macOS 10.15.7 (Catalina)

How do I make happen, that I sync the calendars in both Thunderbirds constantly, i.o.w. instantly (like for example the iMAP emails do)??

I find the option for new calendars: "On the network" ... Which network is here meant??? In the help there is not much info about it. I am not using and will not use Google or any kind of "social media" (!)

Can I use my own homepage host (which has some webspace left) in order to sync? Or for example an online storage like mega.nz ?

Or could the both macs just sync the thunderbird calendars just via WiFi/WLAN directly (AirDrop ?) or via Bluetooth ??

It would be so great if calendar sync would be as easy as the emails do!

I have been trying to sent event invitations from my time zone (Central/Chicago) to Washington DC (Eastern/New York) for a meeting which will physically take place in DC for all participants. As an example, if I set the time to 2:00 PM Eastern Time it corrects to 1:00 PM for all invitees. Unfortunately, the invite does NOT indicate the time zone.

How can I avoid this problem? Should I just leave the invite time setting as my my time zone and it will automatically show the correct time in the receiver's time zone? (e.g., for a 2 PM physical meeting in DC, should I send it as a 1 PM meeting Central Time)?

Also, will this work for those opening the invite in GMail or Outlook?

This question hints that there might be a way to subscribe directly to the Google holiday calendar rather than downloading and importing it. Does anyone know how to do this?

I recently started using THunderbird as an inbox and calendar tool a new business we have started with my team. I have a couple of questions.

1. I have the e-mail app on my android phone, but how can I get thunderbird calendar on it? 2. My other two businesses use google domain and e-mail accounts and my personal calendar is also on google. How can I sync the thunderbird calendar with my google calendar, so that events which I create, receive, accept on one of the calendars (i.e. Thunderbird) will automatically appear on the other (i.e. Google). 3. And is there a way to sync the calendars so that I can edit calendar events from everywhere (regardless of where they have been created)?

I recently subscribed to the TB calendar for USA holidays. I reported a problem with the calendar itself and got no response to my last reply ([https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1438331|here]).

There is also a problem with the way TB displays holidays when more than one appears on the same date for the same region (i.e., where UID:<xx> is the same), possibly also depending on the CATEGORIES or CLASS codes, though I didn't check for that.

For example, for Feb. 11, 2024, TB shows "International Day of Women and Girls in Science" (UID:un), "Super Bowl" (UID:us), and "World Day of the Sick" (UID:world). It does not show "Lunar New Year," which appears in the calendar with UID:us. It appears that when there is more than one holiday on a given date for a given region (US in this case), it displays only one.

This is also the case for May 27, 2024, which is not only "Decoration Day" (UID:us), but is also "Jefferson Davis' Birthday" (UID:us), but TB shows only Decoration Day. (And the calendar has no entry for "Memorial Day," which is the federal holiday on that date. That was the original problem I asked about.)

After adding my nextcloud calendar via CalDAV in Thunderbird 115 (no plugin) I can perfecly add or remove events to the calendar and they get synced well, however, if I receive a notification the button to dismiss them does not do a thing. Firat I thought this is related to Birthday reminders, but it is also true for events I have added to the standard calendar via Thunderbird.

Sorry if this is a double post, but I only found similar issues with older versions of Thunderbird and a plugin for the calendar.

Is it possible to share a calendar event. When right clicking an event brings up a pop-up menu but a command to share the event does not exist.

Similar calendar event sharing functionality exists in other web based calendar software.

From an avid user on Win11x64 with Thunderbird 115.7.0 (64-bit).

Any clues appreciated. Thank you.

I have added my own categories in the Thunderbird Calendar New Event window, but I am unable to edit or delete either default or added categories in the list. How do I edit this list? NOTE: this is different than mail categories.

I noticed that Memorial Day is missing for all the years included in the calendar. I just ran across it, so I haven't looked thoroughly.

Is there a way to report this to someone or to correct it and submit a corrected version?

Hi,

For some reason, I don't see the calendar subscriptions in the Calendar view. I restarted the app, and I'm at the latest version. I did install an add-on that made things a bit wonky (a markdown plugin, but I'm not sure if that's when the calendar subscriptions disappeared). I uninstalled it. I noticed the problem after I had uninstalled the add-on.

Does this problem seem familiar to anyone? If so, how did you fix it?

I was wondering if there's a way to include more than just 4 weeks worth of events/task in the calendar sidebar? I have increased it from 2 weeks to 4 weeks but I would like to see more without going directly into the Calendar. Thank you,

I'm getting duplicates of calendar items using the Provider for Google Calendar whenever I enter an event in Thunderbird. This doesn't happen when the events are posted elsewhere, on a Google Calendar. When I'm about to enter a new event, I can see a line labeled "Calendar" that gives me 3 choices ... 2 of them are the same, like xxxxx@gmail.com and the other is GMAIL. I have 2 gmail accounts sharing on three devices ... my laptop, my phone and my wife's iPad. Once I've finished and closed the event, I wait a bit and I get the duplicated item beside it. When I right-click on an event that I've put into Thunderbird, I see a line that says "Organizer:" with my gmail address. I don't see anything like that when clicking on a duplicate that has popped up. There is also a Related Link ... https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/event?eid=X2M5ajYyZTluNnRpajBiOWo2OWg2YWI5a2NkaGphYmIyYzhzNjRiOW02cGozaW9wcGNkaW04b2hnY2tfMjAyNDAxMTFUMTgzMDAwWiBnaGNoYXJ0ZXJzQG0 ... but it comes up as "requested URL not found on this server".
