ATT made me change my email password which restored my access to email on yahoo. Thunderbird isn't accepting the new password. (It did open to show my emails going back to 4/17/2023 after I entered the new password.) I get a message that log in to server failed. Then a window opens to enter new password. Already entered the new (correct) password that works on yahoo. How do I get Thunderbird to work again?

I have several email addresses being managed by Thunderbird. Occasionally one of my out going messages gets it's 'reply-to' address over written by one of my other addresses. So I'll send an email out from one address, but the recipient replies and it comes back to me on the incorrect address. It's always the same address that it gets overwritten to, but I never know when it happens. I have tried individually setting ALL my managed addresses with their own 'reply-to' and it still happens.

I can never tell when an outgoing message has been overwritten or not, as it always looks correct at my side. I only know when a reply message then comes back into the incorrect address. This may not sound important, but it's infuriating because, for example, I'm monitoring one address for replies and I don't get any, but then later I look down at the other address and there's the reply there. I have tried removing the dominant address from Thunderbird and re-installing it...twice. I can't leave the entire address off Thunderbird, because I don't want to miss any emails that do come to it.

Please can you offer some advice.

Windows 10 Pro Desktop PC I am using Tunderbird for my gmail account. Version 115.10.1 (32 bit) Ever since there was a update (upgrade?) to gmail I can no longer use Thunderbird for my gmail. I don't know if it's at the Thunderbird end or the gmail end.

Here are the messages I recieve: First is on the actual email message and the second is a "pop-up" msg in the lower right of my screen.

Error on the composed message: "Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent Mail) due to network or file access error. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent Mail-Rick.Reckage@gmail.com"

Error message at bottom right of Thunderbird: "Connection to server.imap.gmail.com timed out"

Thank you for any help to fix this. I like Thunderird so I contribute. I want to be abble to continue using it for gmail ifmpossible.

I just asked this question a few minutes ago. This is a correction. It's only the font size in my signature that has shrunk since the latest Thunderbird update. The image in the signature is still the same size as it was before the update. I would like to know HOW to make the signature font size the same as the message font size.

The height of the viewing panel for emails is far too small. I can only see a couple of lines of text at the most and am unable to reduce the height of the incoming list of emails as previously in order to increase the height of the viewing panel. I have been helped to increase the font size of the overall layout so that I can now read it better but the green button to declare that my problem has been solved tells me that the page isn't working!

Hello, I am new to Thunderbird and still learning. So I may have missed something setting it up. When I write an email over time it gets saved in my draft folder, but I get multiple copies and when I send it the previous versions remain in my Draft folder. So I end up with email messages, some of which have been sent and some are genuine drafts that I need to finish. If I wanted to keep a different version I'd probably amend the title. So my questions: How do I tell which has been sent and which is still a draft to complete and do I have to delete the old versions myself or ideally can I set it so that when I edit the message and save the new draft it overwrites the previous one? Thanks!

Good Day. I inadvertently upgraded to version 125 using PatchMyPC. After the upgrade the filters are not listing correctly. I search for a filter that I know exists; but it does not appear. When I try to save it under the same name, obviously it complains that the Filter already exists. I'm assuming this will be fixed in a future release. Thanks. Joe T.

Since the update TB to v115.10.1 it will not connect to server, the server just times out.

BUT If I then login to the server directly from browser and check mail (IMAP by the way) using my web online interface I get emails THEN if I open TB it connects and downloads as it should.

This is weird. It's been checking more than a dozen email accounts for a number of years without errors.

When composing a new email and using the F9 key to list addressees in the defaulted address book, this list does not contain many addresses that are contained in the "All Address Books" (Toolbar icon). The "All Address Books" contains 37 address entries whereas the defaulted address book contains 24. I noticed that the missing addressees are more recent additions.

Suddenly my Thunderbird email will not send out any email I try to send. I have been in contact with my server Tech Support. They have checked everything at their end and all seems correct. I can go through their webmail to my account and that works. I have re-installed the program several times, including backup of the Profile, and deleting it from the C drive, then reinstalling it. I have made multiple changes to the SMTP outgoing server, trying various entries. I have even restored my computer to an earlier "Restore Point". That didn't work.

Nothing will allow me to "Send" an email. Other than that, the program works well. I can receive emails, no problem. I am using Windows 11, 64 bit on a Desktop computer. Any ideas what the solution might be for me? Thank you. Dave Wenger - [edited] @ntelos.net, ph: [removed phone# from public].

we are using Mozilla Thunderbird for many years. Since last two updates the button for sending out emails is missing. We tried to activate and to find it but we were not successful. Can you please check the current version for this mistake/error? All menu bars are activated but we also found out that the menu bar for writing emails are not visible any longer.

Hello, I find Thunderbird is identifying my spam pretty well but all it does is mark the "junk status" column. The messages still sit in my inbox. There must be a way to have these messages automatically sent to a folder, or to delete them, or...? I tried setting up a filter, but there is no option to select the "junk status" tag.

How can I automatically do something with my junk/spam messages, something more than just tag them?

I can no longer move an email from unified to a specific folder without it bouncing back. If move it to a folder it appears there and If I then delete it from unified, it deletes the email in the folder. Only just started happening. What I want is to be able to move the email to a folder, in order to keep the amount of emails in unified to a manageable level.

New computer since a week ago. Thunderbird was fully functional the first days. Not using the computer for last 3 days.

Now is the internet connection in Thunderbird only works in troubleshoot mode

How can i detect the the reason for the problem. Even the check for Update in The About fails with connection times out. Can´t access any of may mail accounts all fails. Unblocked Thunderbird in Firewall and Virus Running Windows 11 with latest updates. Thunderbird version 115.10.2 (64-bit)
