Is it possible to sync Firefox/Thunderbird/Lightning (28.0/24.4.0/?) between a desktop (Windows 8.1) and a laptop (Windows 7)? I want to be able to make an email change on one computer and the change is applied to the other computer within a second or two. What do I do next to achieve my goal?

[I've only noticed this new behavior in the last few days.] No matter which address book I select, Write now always opens with "All Address Books". ["All Address Books" displays a combined list of ALL the contacts in ALL the address books]. How do it get it to default to the 'last used' address book please?

I do not know where Mail Preferences is--I have looked for it. Please help or I will need to get another email platform since being able to send is as important as receiving.

This may sound stupid but I am unable to reverse my accidental "ignore thread" on a number of my emails. Someone suggested Mozilla's email, Thunderbird, but I'm not gonna switch until I know that I can batch-archive.
