I have one problem using Firefox for my android browsing, when i get to certain site and try to get to another one by typing address to bar Firefox does not register first typed ( pressed ) button ( letter) as first letter or new site. For example, when i click to address bar it gets highlighted at first as it should, but typing first letter will remove previous address and will not be registered as first letter of new site, second letter is registered ok. For example if i type mozilla.org i will get ozilla.org in address bar. This is very frustrating for everyday browsing. I am using Gboard keyboard with P30 pro and latest Firefox for android. I don't have problems like this while using Chrome. Think it is related with Gboard but there aren't many tweak options to play with.

Okay, so let's say I open a tab, browse, and leave Firefox for a while. It probably goes into sleep mode or whatever. When I come back, it hangs while trying to load whatever the foremost tab was, and if I try to put something new into the omnibar (a search or a URL, doesn't matter), it just shows a blank page and fails to load.

Sometimes I select other tabs and they do the same thing. The only surefire way to avoid this is to open a completely new tab.

It sounds like a small thing but it really slows down my "hold on lemme Google this" moments and is really annoying. Anyone recognize this issue and know why it happens?

Note, it seems particularly consistent with duckduckgo, but affects other sites too.

Before the recent Android update, I was able to open external links and was able to choose what app I open link with now when I want to use an external app, Firefox automatically chooses my default browser to open said link. Very frustrating is there a way to fix this?

So, sometimes when we go to a website. We can't download any audio and video with Firefox for no download link.. We only look and listen this video or audio but we can't download this.

So I request to Firefox please add this SMART MEDIA DETECTOR feature in your browser last update which can detect audio and video for downloading.

This feature is already available Opera browser.

but opera isn't giving best security with android that's why i not use Opera..

I have open in apps feature is turned on. When I press any link which has the app on my phone, Firefox openes a blank tab which says "302 moved the document has moved here". How can I solve this ? Please fix this it is very annoying.

There is no option to copy text in the share menu. This means that if a website has a button that triggers the share menu and you click it, you have to find a workaround to grab the text, like sending an SMS to yourself. You can test this out on the YouTube website.

Hello. I am using the android app well. But while using it, the tabs pile up too much. A new tab also appears when searching in the address bar. A new tab will appear even if you open the parent site. I would like to open a search page or a bookmarks page in an existing tab.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to view an image at it's actual size on firefox for android. I'm wondering if there's a way to take an image that I'm looking at in firefox that's bigger than the resolution of my screen, and display it at it's actual size. Desktop firefox has the option, with the magnifying glass.You can zoom in so the picture's bigger than the screen, and you can scroll to see the whole thing. Can I do that with the mobile app as well? I know I can zoom in, but it's a real toss up how stretched or unstretched it'll look, and I'd rather just view it actual-size.

I'm using Firefox for Android and I added Startpage as my designated search engine. So,why does Google destinations, that is home and work, come up every time I tap the search/url box? I have never queried Startpage about either place, only in Google's app. The inference being that Firefox has compromised my privacy to Google or compromised the search engine function for Google.

Hey I can't write in the search bar from Firefox browser in my Nvidia Shield Android TV Pro 11 using my remote control but I can do it with Odin and other cheaper browsers

I'm using FF (96) on Android 10. When browsing Ebay I will be prompted for password on almost every page change (maybe some are cached). Fully reproducible if paging through my watch list.

I have already cleared all data, reinstalled, switched off tracking, granted exceptions to ebay. Nothing helped. Works perfectly on Chrome.

Finally I noticed, that the problem disappeared, when requesting desktop site. Of course, desktop site apears too small, so I'm using Chrome for the moment.
