Currently using Firefox Nightly version 111.0a1 for Android now when trying to open a link in another app it always shows a popup to confirm.

This was not present in previous releases and I don't know if there is a way to prevent this popup as it makes it uncomfortable. Is there an option I may be missing to disable this feature? If not, could an option like this be introduced?

I updated and now "Settings" & "Quit" aren't in the ︙menu. They're hidden and I have to swipe up a second time to see them. This interferes with my workflow, as I use "Quit" dozens of times a day and it used to be effortlessly accessible via a single finger flick.

How do disable this hiding of "Setting" and "Quit"? Is there an about:config option I can toggle?

I am using Iceraven-2.23.1 (Build #2016045162), which is based on Firefox for Android and allows all users to use about:config

(If there is no about:config to disable it, let me know the last version before this was changed, and I'll use that instead.)

Actually I'm using firefox from so long and I love to use firefox and I feel safe using firefox because it is open source and firefox first priority is privacy but from few weeks I'm observing that duckduckgo app tracking blocks so many tracking attempts from firefox. It's kind of weird. When ever I open firefox, duckduckgo start blocking so many tracking attempts from firefox and as a proof I take screenshots as well. I'm attaching screenshots with this message. Still I love using firefox but also this scared me. Hope I'll get a better explanation.

Since I have been using Firefox Android from S7 Edge to this S23+ it will not follow system settings for dark mode. If I set it to light mode it's always in light mode. if I set it to dark mode it stays in dark mode, no matter what the system setting.

I want to NOT open links in external apps, so I set the option "Open links in apps" to "Never", however Firefox keeps asking of I want to open the link in another app, so there is no difference with "ask before opening" option". Is there any way to not open links in apps without Firefox asking for confirmation?

I'm trying to enable javascript on my firefox android mobile device. But when I type the about:config instruction in the address bar, the response firefox gives me is that it can't find that page. Why can't firefox find this page? I need to enable javascript in order to use my trusted Speechify text-to-speech app.

How can I override the default to connect to a website in HTTPS-mode and enforce a HTTP connection for specific websites, like the configuration server on modems/routers?

Where is the Firefox-for-Desktop option in the padlock menu for the Android version, when it says "Connection is not secure", to turn off "HTTPS-Only Mode" temporarily or permanently for that site?

All I have available, is the in this case pointless "Retry" button and the useless info "This connection has timed out". But nothing at all to force a HTTP-Only connection.

The solution can't be, that every time I need to connect to a website that does not support transport encryption, to have to dive deep into FF's settings and globally disable "HTTPS-Only Mode", and once I am done, go back and enable it again.

So, what is the pragmatic solution on mobile Firefox to add and manage such exceptions?

Thankfully not too often are web site pages that are grossly out-of-format for my Android phone. Mostly everything is tiny. Yes, I can pinch expand or zoom in but then side back and forth scrolling is required to navigate and absorb the page. Not the optimum result. Very annoying.

I have font adjustments but those result in a similar and distroted page.

One web site option when available was a toggle for windows/cell phone that worked pretty good but it's not always provided. That implies the web site design is the formatting adjustment function.

Is the resultant cell phone display formatting a function of the visited web site, browser, phone device, etc or some combination of those entities settings?

Where did this strange language come from? I synced my laptop to my Android phone and somehow this language started appearing English and another language I can't identify.

Hi, my firefox appears to be missing its navigation/toolbar. I only have a single bottom bar for the address bar, home, tab and the three dots. I would like to have the back, forward button, bookmarks to be pinned on the toolbar area. I try to use the Secret Setting but it does not have the option to enable toolbar. I have included two screenshots, the orange circle depicting my current situation. I would like to have something similar to the toolbar (Samsung Internet Browser) in the other screenshot with teal circle.

In the past few weeks i cannot sign in to my accounts with different vendors like Amazon. A pop up window appears when I click on "Sign In" and the window states, and I quote: "Open in another app

If I click on Cancel it will let me enter the email or phone number in the site pop up box. But, once entered and pressing the continue box, which would normally take you to the password box, it brings up the same window as above. Then it does not matter whether i click on Cancel or Open, it will not give me a password box and will not take me to the site. It presents a page that states We're sorry, The web address you entered is not a functioning page on our site. So, I cannot call any Firefox Tech person and get this straightened out. Also today, the website icons I have saved to my home page were greyed out today. I went to Verizon and they determined it was an issue with Firefox since that is how I accessed those sites and used that search engine to save them to the home screen. I decided to reload those one at a time and then erase the greyed out icons. When I got the 3rd one done the other 29 became live again. Not sure what is at issue here but i do need assistance. When I receive an email from Firefox Accounts (for example when I sign in on a new device), the email is in French instead of English. All other menus and webpages from Mozilla are correctly in English. It's only Accounts emails that have this problem.

There is no language option on the settings page at accounts.firefox.com. My language is set to English on every browser I'm signed in on, and my IP is in an English-speaking region. My email client and devices are set to English as well.

My guess is that a Firefox Accounts setting was changed to French many years ago, and at some point that setting was removed, leaving it stuck in French. Anyone know a way around this?

I'm trying to set my DNS settings in Firefox Nightly to a custom service. But i am having nothing but problems.

I want to use one of these settings for the secured w/ECS:Malware blocking, DNSSEC Validation, ECS enabled.

My only problem is I'm not sure which format of the address options I should be inputting in the DNS settings in the about:config

Please help.

I am using Samsung S23 with the latest One UI and Android 14. Samsung's built-in browser has a neat feature where you can open YouTube or Reddit links in the apps installed on the device instead of viewing them in the mobile version of the website in the browser. I assume that Firefox has the same functionality called "Open links in apps" in the settings, but I tried all the available options and neither YouTube or Reddit links are automatically opened in their respective apps, nor is there a button anywhere to force them to open in the apps. Am I doing or assuming something wrong, or is this a bug?

...Desktop site option setting does not stick! After switching tabs for 5 mins, it changes back to mobile site view & I HAVE TO X out of tab, reopen it, & check desktop site again! You can't just reset the desktop site option on & off either, doesn't work. You MUST X out the tab & start all over. ...It's a real pia! In older versions it always worked, always defaulted even days later! However, NOT in the last few versions, why can't it still currently work now? It should! ...And god for bid you find any real support! And probably won't get it here either. ...."IS" there ANY real, live support around here? A developer email? Anything???
