bookmarklets in Firefox Android

I am trying out bookmarklet functionality on a mobile platform (Android 10). The bookmarklet is named test and points to the code

javascript:alert('boo')

How I test:

  1. Save the bookmarklet as described above to the bookmarks folder;
  2. Go to some random website;
  3. In the address bar, start typing test;
  4. The browser will recognize the bookmark and offer it in a menu;
  5. Click it.

Results:

  • In Brave for Android (Chrome-based) the alert window appears as expected;
  • In Firefox for Android absolutely nothing happens.

Question:

Is this intentional on Mozilla's part and/or expected or am I missing something?

As far as I know, I have been using sync option for my bookmarks for almost 6 years or so, and I used them in multiple devices (smartphones). Now, I don't have the other devices and also I lost all my important bookmarks and their passwords. 

I reinstalled it now, and don't have my stuff.

I request you to please do the needful.

I read this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-delete-and-view-bookmarked-webpages-firefox-an , but I don't seem to have a bookmark option (seen in attached screenshot). Is there a setting or something that would disable the option? I'm a little new to firefox for android.

lost bookmarks all of them

I no longer have any bookmarks they have all disappeared but I do still have them on my phone how can I get them back on my laptop I used them almost every day please hel… (читать ещё)

After many failed attempts with add-ons I come to this forum to ask this basic question. How can I sort bookmarks either alphabetically or manually? I don't understand how such a basic function can be missing from any browser????

Also there seems to be some problem in the Firefox "system" where it thinks I'm looking for desktop applications despite the fact that all of my queries are initiated through the Android browser.

I have a tablet with android 5.0 and Firefox 68.8. When i open the menue(3 vertical points),there is no bookmarks option.I can save but I can't open the list.

Hello I have a tablet with android 5.0 and Firefox 68.8. When i open the menue(3 vertical points),there is no bookmarks option.I can create a bookmark with a push on the star but I can't open the list because the bookmarks option does not exist.
