Hey guys! so, for background, I'm using Firefox Beta on a Galaxy tab.

I have this thing when I use the browser in Multi Window and try to highlight a text by tap holding it. the pop-up menu (where you have options such as copy/cut and select, etc.) doesn't really show. this only happens to me on Firefox. what's up with that?

also, tapping a word twice doesn't select it even when I'm not using Multi Window... what's up with that?

Ive noticed on Firefox mobile, I'm unable to click any post buttons. In particular Ive noticed it when I would tap a button to upload a file (like a photo). While this happened on Facebook and Instagram, it also happens on my friend's personal project site.

This is specific to Firefox on Android. Happens whether or not I toggle Desktop mode.

It simply does nothing when I tap any buttons associated with uploading a file. The button does not visually flash or anything. Nothing at all happens.

Ironically I can't upload an image on this very form because of it, though this button does highlight like I pressed it.

Occasionally I clear the cache memory for the apps on my Poco F5. Of all the apps I use, firefox consumes the highest (8GB+) of cache. So yesterday I cleared the cache memory, didn't use firefox apart from minor browsing for 10 mins or so. Now it's filled back again (6GB+). The app size is just 267MB, but the cache is insanely high.

I use the Firefox app for Android on a regular basis.

For a long time I have found one unpleasant problem with tabs, when I open a new tab and notice that the remaining 107 old tabs are open, I cannot close all tabs except the current one. I can close all tabs, but the current one will close too. Sometimes I have to look for a link in the browsing history after that, it can takes several minutes. It would be convenient, in addition to the inactive tabs section, to be able to simply close everything except the current one.

Maybe there is already such a function without using third-party mods on Firefox?

So the problem is most prevalent on YouTube but other sites as well. I'll click full screen on a video and it'll look like it's going to maximize the video but then it boots me back to the home screen. I have to click on Firefox again and get the page pulled up again and then click full screen and it usually works. Sometimes I have to cycle through this once or twice

After I had changed the system wide font on my android, random fonts appear in all the websites that do not have custom website fonts.

The fonts work properly on chromium based browsers but this seems to be an issue with firefox. I had previously changed a setting in about:config to fix it but now I cannot find it.

Hi, I have a problem with my firefox app. Everytime I play or skip a port of a video, it plays stuttering and return normal only If I rewind some second (if I pause it nothing change). Anyone knows why? Is there some way to solve this problem? I have deleted every data, cookies etc, every add-on and reinstalled the app but nothing changed. I also formatted every setting of my device but same result. Oh, also, this problem don't happen with other apps like gallery or chrome. It stutters even if I have just Firefox opened video

When i enter fullscreen mode on my phone the android UI elements sometimes doesn't hide (see image). This occurs on sites like youtube and any other site where i try to play content in fullscreen.

There is a bug when accessing the desktop version of the website under the Android version of Firefox. Visit youtube.com on the Android phone, then click on the desktop version of the website, and then click on the video to go full screen. After going full screen, the bug appears: the control button under the video cannot be clicked. This bug does not appear in the Android version of Chrome browser

I cannot share a tab from my phone to my tablet or vice versa. I can send tabs to my desktop computers, and my desktop computers can send tabs to my phone, but for some reason Firefox Sync thinks that my phone and my tablet are the same device.

Curiously, when I go into my Firefox account settings and change the name of my browser on each device, as soon as I sync, the names are swapped. Specifically, I named Firefox on my phone "S23 Ultra". When I checked the settings on my tablet, it showed that that was also the name of Firefox there, too. So I changed the name of it on my tablet to "Tab S8+". As soon as I hit "Sync Now," my phone changed to "Tab S8+". And when I changed my phone back to "S23 Ultra," as soon as I synced my tablet, that became the name of my tablet browser, too.

When a private tab is opened, it lets me know in the silent notifications on my phone with the "swipe or tap to close" the tab/s. However, once I close the private tab that notification remains. When I click or swipe the notification it goes for a second and comes back despite not having a private tab open. Even with normal tabs open it does the same thing. Force stopping the app gets rid of it but the second a private tab is opened it returns.

I understand I can just turn off that notification but it's useful to have. Was just wondering if there is a fix or setting anyone knows of or how I can report this to Mozilla?

Hi! I been using youtube through firefox on my phone for awhile now. Mostly since it allows me to play the video when the screen is off.

I have now swapped phone to a HTC U23 Pro. After the change everytime that i look at a video now it stutters a lot. No matter the network connection.

On my old Samsung A71 it still works fine.

It works fine in the youtube app or through grayjay.

Have removed every add on i have and resinstalled firefox but the issue is the same.

Any tips on what i can do to fix it?

I use Firefox on at least three different devices, and my Firefox account is linked on all these devises. And I have a huge amount of bookmarks, and almost daily create new bookmarks, as well as store links into existing bookmarks on my Linux Laptop. The problem is that when I then later use my Android smart phone or my Android Samsung Tablet, the bookmarks are not reflected in the same user friendly fashion as it was created or seen on my Linux Laptop. So much so that it is extremely user unfriendly and nearly impossible to store a link into an existing bookmark or to create a new sub-bookmark into an existing bookmark - also because the bookmarks can not be collapsed or navigated as easily as on my main device, which is the Linux Laptop. I need Firefox to reflect my bookmarks in exactly the same fashion and same order as I create them, and I need the bookmarks be be collapsable and navigable. I really want to use Firefox, but this disability forces me to now use Chrome, and I do not want that. Please fix the bookmarks in Firefox. Hello world! (Sorry; had to.)

I just started using Firefox for Android, as a workaround to the problems I'm having with playing my YouTube playlists.

But, I'm having several problems in Firefox for Android.

1. Playlists (the actual lists of videos) cover the video that's currently playing. My workaround to this is to play in full screen mode, but that brings up problem

2. Full screen videos automatically switch to landscape orientation, despite system settings, with no apparent way to switch back to portrait orientation without also exiting full screen mode. I've tried rotating my phone with auto rotate on/off; neither setting has any affect on the orientation.

What's extremely frustrating about this is that any workaround is actually a workaround to a workaround to a workaround; it's workaroundception.

What I really really want is to be able to simply play my playlist/listen to it without having to jump through hoops and without having to burn through data like a bonfire burns through sticks.

IMO, the best solution would be to download the entire playlist:

...in one go, and stick it on an mp3 player like it's 2009. So far, the only YouTube to mp3 sites I've found only download individual videos; not whole playlists. (And that's not really a Mozilla issue anyway; the Mozilla issues are the unwanted rotation and the video stack covering up the currently playing video.)

After installing a shortcut to a website that stages as an app through the Firefox Android app (Samsung 6.0, Android 14) when using said shortcut, if entering any text box the keyboard will pop up and rapidly close and open, making it unable to use. This problem happens on any text box, and with any keyboard. I'll attach a youtube link of a screen recording as well as a gif, though it's rather difficult to see the entire problem through a gif. For several months, whenever I need something auto filled, the only thing that pops up is a button that reads "Unlock Firefox" instead of the appropriate saved info. This button does nothing when tapped and when held down, there is tactile click, but then nothing.
