My firefox version: 124.2.0 My phone: Xiaomi redmi note 13

The problem: This problem is most prominent when I want to listen to music on youtube while having another app open. I have "video background play fix" add-on. Interestingly, just going to the home screen keeps the song playing, but once I go to any other app (tested with discord, whatsapp and veryfitpro) the song stops playing. Then I go back to the app and it reloads the entire website and the song is at the beginning waiting for me to press play. I've tried different battery optimization strategies in the app's settings and none of them worked. Tried clearing the cache.

Firefox on Android will not download PDF files from anywhere, not even on elifesciences.org, why?

Just updated Firefox, now it doesn't respond to clicks, not can I select text, websites don't load, all the tabs are at half -resolution. Unusable. Need to use it.

Today I was out of the house for a bit, and towards the end of it, I noticed that my phone was really hot. I checked the notifications, and android had given me an alert that my phone had used 7 GB of mobile data (the alarm is set to notify me for anything past 1GB). This was presumably in the space of slightly over an hour - while I wasn't even using the phone actively at all. according to android's "application data usage", all but 52 bytes of that was all foreground usage. But the thing is, I'm confused what even it was using that much data on - I don't think it could have been autoplaying videos, since I think the tab it was open to was something like reddit. I'm wanting to know what could have caused it to use that much data in that short a time without me actively doing things which are that data-intensive. Could it be something to do with the fact I had quite a few tabs open? are background tabs constantly requesting data or something? could it be some kind of virus? I'm honestly not sure, but I'd appreciate feedback so that this doesn't happen again. I'm also unsure if there's any way to generate a diagnostic report of the app, or anything like that, so if there is, please let me know.

Problem: I have downloaded after uninstalling several times, and the results are consistent. I bring up a scrollable page and dragging doesn't work (scrolling). In addition, if I click on a link, it asks if I want to open in a new link instead of just opening. When I click on new link, nothing happens. I am running the latest version downloadable of Android, and the latest downloadable firefox from android playstore.

playing video on YouTube is always choppy and buffering quite a bit and the only thing that my router / modem is connected to only the smart TV by way of hardwired cat6e connection I could understand if this was wirelessly connected but it is hardwired and there is nothing else connected to the router by Wireless and I am getting anywhere between 100 and 155 megabytes per second so I know that the speed is fine and the only thing it does it to is YouTube and even if I adjust the YouTube screen quality from 2180 down to 1440 down to 1080 and then down to 720 P and sometimes it works on 720 but most of the to 480p and then the quality looks like crap and I actually get better quality when I use my cell phone mobile hotspot connected to the smart TV but that's ridiculous in price going way over my data so that's why I got Wi-Fi and it really doesn't matter whether I use the app on the phone of YouTube as a remote for the YouTube on the screen TV screen or whether I use the YouTube app that is embedded in the smart TV either way the connection are very poor and yeah I'm not really sure what to do I had the provider of the Wi-Fi come and do a test and make sure that it wasn't anything to do with the hardware wiring or anything like that and I also when I connect my laptop hardwired to the router everything and anything I stream on the laptop not using Wireless it works perfectly fine same with my cell phone connected by Wireless also works fine it's only seems to be the smart TV and I also tried somebody else's Smart TV see if it was a problem with mine and there's also did it so I know it is not a problem with my stuff
