There is a significant delay with URL suggestion autofill when writing an address/URL into the URL-/search field. Many times resulting in a web search of the incomplete URL name, instead of going to the correct page. (Oneplus 13)

​I am reporting two visual glitches (white bars) occurring in the Android version of Firefox.

1. White Bar Appear Numbered list items at the Top in Portrait Multi-Select Mode
   When the browser is in portrait mode and I enter the multi-select state (e.g., in the Bookmarks or Downloads management screens), a white bar appears briefly or persists at the top of the screen. This seems like a UI rendering error.
2. White Bar Appears on the Left Side in Landscape Mode
   When the phone is in landscape mode, a persistent white bar/strip is visible on the far left side of the screen. This affects the full-screen display.

I'm hoping for some help with a persistent video playback issue on Firefox for Android. I am committed to using Firefox for its privacy and its independent Gecko engine, but this performance bug is a major blocker.

The Problem: When I play videos in Firefox, the playback is very choppy and stutters, appearing as if it's running at a very low frame rate.

Crucial Testing Information:

This issue is specific to certain browsers. I have tested the exact same videos on Chrome, Vivaldi, Brave, and Ulaa, and they all play perfectly smoothly. The stuttering issue happens in Firefox (and also in Opera).

This confirms the problem is with how Firefox is rendering video on my device, not a network or hardware limitation.

Troubleshooting Roadblock:

I have already tried all the basic fixes (clearing cache, reinstalling, etc.).

I attempted to follow standard advice to troubleshoot this by accessing about:config to check the status of hardware video decoding. However, access to about:config is completely disabled in the stable version of Firefox for Android. This prevents any advanced user-side troubleshooting for performance issues like this.

My Device Information:

Phone Model: OnePlus Nord 2T

Android Version: Android 14

Firefox Version: 143.0.4

Given that a critical troubleshooting tool is unavailable, I am reporting this directly. This seems to be a hardware acceleration incompatibility issue with my device.

Where is the issue tracker for Firefox Nightly on Android? The last few updates have caused the keyboard to block the bottom part of webpages, making it impossible for me to see what I'm typing.

In the first loading the share menu would only show other firefox devices until a few seconds later other options appear. Closing the menu and reopening would not have this problem so I am unable to check if it's an Android problem

It's very frustrating to use Firefox as alternative to Chrome. It should be fast and reliable in browsing, which is fitting issues compared to chromium browsers like Chrome, Brave. Thanks.

Every so often (about 5 times a day?) when I tap the screen, Firefox initiates a page refresh as if I've swiped down from the top of the page. The refresh icon appears fully pulled down, and if I catch it before I release my finger, I can swipe back up to cancel the refresh. It seems to happen on some sites more than others, but I can't find a pattern or reproduce it reliably (maybe it happens more on sites that don't scroll down so the page is always at the top?). I managed to catch a video of it happening, but I don't see a place to upload it.

Firefox keep refreshing the webpage on my Poco M6 plus device whenever I minimize the app for even a second. I've received many android updates but this keep happening. I believe it is something has to be with HyperOS.

My keyboard is often glitching out while I'm in the Firefox browser. This will happen when I'm trying to search on websites or in the search bar.

I've tried a few different keyboards and I've had this problem with Gboard(the one I want to use) and the built-in Samsung keyboard. It seems to work fine for the Microsoft's keyboard but I prefer not to use that one. I've recently updated both of theses apps but the issue persists. The screenshot is what I see when this happens; the area where the keyboard should be is solid black.

If I use the search bar that normally contains the URL, it works but I try to avoid this because using that bar seems to get stuck often on a blank screen(or take a while to load? Not sure what's happening there).

Is there a fix or workaround?

When I want to buy something and my bank want to check payment I change firefox for bank app but firefox automaticaly reload the page. Same problem if I want to sign in somewhere and need pause or copy something from another app. The firefox always teload page and I have to start again. ONLY one help is divided screen. But it is not solution.

I'm getting a box popup that prevents me from doing anything normal. Can't select a new link like normal, the refresh is there, but in a different spot. I'll try to add the screen shot in case someone recognizes what might have caused this.

Hello, I'm experiencing problems with the newest Firefox App for Android. Every time I minimalize the app and return back to Firefox pages keep autorefreshing. I have uBlock Origin instaled. I turned off battery saving for thr Firefox app.

Full Blank screen when opening new tab or webpage Does this intermittently, at least once per day. Recovery is to clear all active apps from memory, then reopen Firefox; previouse tabs are present.

No relation to number of tabs open or number of other apps open.
This problem has persisted for at least 2 FF build updates.
 It is NOT A MEMORY ISSUE, I checked last failure

Using Android 13. Firefox: 139.0.4 (Build #2016095887), hg-3825afc77e5b+ GV: 139.0.4-20250609112858 AS: 139

I have duck duck go set as my search engine on my galaxy S10+. At some point my Firefox browser updated and now every time I search something, or load any page within the search engine I get a forced web page refresh when trying to scroll down the results page or any page. If I hold my thumb down on the screen and slowly slide it upwards it backs off the refresh gesture and then everything works fine. I have switched search engines, so I know it's not the search page itself, and it only happens in Firefox. I do have 100 tabs backed up but I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox and starting new but it doesn't matter. Firefox still forces a refresh when I try to scroll down. I've become so frustrated with this that I installed brave browser today to see if that browser did the same thing and it does not, so until I can get some help fixing this I will be switching to brave browser from here on out. Attached is an example after I searched the term "searching the web" it did not have an issue scrolling on the results page, but then I clicked on images and tried to scroll and as you can see it is trying to refresh the page.

i dont know if anyone else is having this problem but when using firefox on android the back button gets greyed out and i cant go back it happens randomly and it gets annoying. I hope they find the cause of it and fix it.
