I open a new tab (link from email or a other page usually). I read the bloody thing. I click the number of open tabs to display all open. I close the tab with the x. It goes away (closes). It gives me the option to undo. I wait until that goes away. I wait few more seconds and swipe down on the "open tabs" frame. It closes and the number says 7. It agrees with what I see open, and the visible content is from tab #7 I wait 5 minutes. I close Firefox and wait 5-10 minutes. I open Firefox... I'm up to 22 now. This has been going on for about a week (at least) now.

In the past before this started happening, occasionally if I was moving too fast it would happen, so I would go slower (I thought cache) and it would work. Now, it's ridiculous.

NOTE : there are 7 tabs I want to keep open for now... I've been trying to close all the rest for some time now!

i'll try and describe the issue the best i can, sometimes when you have multiple tabs i've noticed the last tab open or which is the lastest tab will sometimes die.

Let's say you open YouTube in a tab and you leave it to go to Google in another tab when you go back to the YouTube tab it will show YouTube in the url but the page will be blank. If you go back to the Google tab it shows Google you can move around the google site but you cant use it. You can try and reload the page but nothing happens you can re enter Youtube in the address bar or any site but nothing happens the tab is essentially unusable.

For instance in the screen shot i posted the comicbook .com tab "died" and when i switch to the Entertainment earth tab it says Comicbook .com i can't enter in a new URL you just get a infinte loading bar that never loads. if i hit reload you again get a infinte loading bar or sometimes it just goes blank.

This has been happening for awhile and has happened on multiple devices this isn't a single instance on one device.

How to access inactive tabs in Firefox for Android? In options I have set to never close tabs but an option for inactive tabs was set to 2 weeks. So I assumed that there is somewhere a list of inactive tabs that you can access and activate them.

Please help me to stop this tab hibernation, I'm literally been miserable because of it, can't do any important things.

How to turn on strictly keep all tabs stays as I left it ?

I want to view the linked page in a new tab. Not the page of search results.

I am trying to move all the synced tabs brought in from android chrome and Firefox pc into the current active tabs I have on Firefox android.

I've only been able to get 1 at a time to move over, but I have well over a hundred open in putting the two other browsers together..

Everything I've been able to look up about it only deals either the syncing part.

And, is there a way to have am active sync? As in, I open a tab in Firefox on laptop, it opens that tab on my Firefox mobile? And vice versa.

I have a plenty of tabs accumulated in my FF on Android, v119.1.1 (Build #2015984795), 2a75e15258+ GV: 119.0.2-20231108221453 AS: 119.0.

Within Tabs menu there is Share all tabs option. When clicked, the Save as PDF, Print, and typical android sharing options are presented.

Click on Save as PDF does nothing. Sharing to other apps works partially (text list is shared, but some parts of it are not kinks but a concatenated text of tabs titles combined together, not clickable, not https:// part).

The phone has lots of tabs, many of which are deactivated.

I want to backup them and review on bigger screen, but can't do that :)

Sharing to other devices connected via Mozilla account shares only subset of tabs, not sure about the logic, the most recent ones for sure + some deactivated but not all of them.

On the mobile app for Android (Google Pixel 2 XL, Android version 11), there's this really annoying issue where tabs are constantly duplicated. Normally, it's when I search something on Google (through Firefox). It pulls up the search results, of course. But when I hit a link, here's what happens: the tab is redirected as it should be, but simultaneously another tab is opened, which is a duplicate of the original tab (the one with the search results), and Firefox switches to view that tab, tab 2. So I have to go back to tab 1 to see whatever, and usually I then close tab 2. After this, once I've been hit a few links on a single tab, caused that tab to redirect a few times, it stops doing this. I've also noticed a similar issue, specifically with Google images in Firefox. Sometimes, when I open a picture to view it, every time I go to the tab with the picture, it opens a tab of the Google images page (before I selected a picture). This will happen endlessly sometimes, every time I open the tab to view the picture, meaning I never actually get to see the picture.

Hi so few days ago I broke my phone it's now completely unusable so now in this new phone I signed into Firefox and sure I got all my synced bookmarks and all but where are my saved tab collections?? That feature is so good which is why I saved like 30 tabs in there but none of them show up after sync please help!

So, I was redirected here after posting a review of the Firefox app on the play store. This is honestly quite embarrassing for me, especially if it's because my problem is actually a simple mistake, but I assume it'll be worth it if I can get some help here. So not very long after I downloaded Firefox, I noticed that after some time (I can't actually pinpoint an exact time, unfortunately.), my private tabs will close, and I'll only have one that is not on any of the websites that I was on. I figured this was because my tab settings, but I checked multiple times, and I have the close tabs setting set to "never." (Close manually.) Is this an issue on my part, or is there potentially something wrong with the application or my phone? I apologize if this is a bit ridiculous, but I was also wondering how Firefox will notify me if I accidentally tap/click on a dangerous/suspicious link or website, do I get a visible warning on my screen? Or do I have to check to see if the connection is secure? (I use Google with Firefox.) If this was something I could've just looked up, then again, I apologize.

All the approx 48 inactive tabs on my samsung have completely disappeared leaving only 6 open ones! Why has this happened? And how do I get them back? I kept them so I could refer to them and I was gradually working my way through them. Ixm furious.

Everytime I open a website and then click on a URL bar, the Web content disappears and it shows the home page of Firefox instead of the web content. I have attached a photo to show what happens.

I'm having this issue with clicking on links where when I click a link it opens a new tab but the new tab contains the current page. The link I'm trying to reach opens in the tab I was originally on. I can't see anywhere in the settings a solution to this and haven't seen anyone else have the same issue. Does anyone have a fix or is this a bug?

Hi, I had over 100 opened tabs in the tab window. Somehow they all disappeared I don't know why. It happened when I was opening the firefox app and closing it (swiping away) from the open apps list. Maybe I clicked some click combination or something else I dont know but the next time I opened my app I had 0 tabs. Now I have just one (while im writing this post). Is there any chance to restore them?

When Adding a Shortcut to the Android Home Screen, it allows you with a pop-up option to Rename the Shortcut before placing it on your Home Screen.

However, when attempting to Install a Progressive Web App (from compatible Web App web sites), and clicking Install, it does NOT give you the opportunity to Rename the Shortcut.

In contrast, Chrome/Android allows the name change in both cases (non-Web App and Web App sites).

Is this feature in the works on FireFox Android?

Is there a work-around to Rename Shortcuts either before or after placing them on the Home Screen ?

The + button in the menu that normally opens a new tab doesn't work anymore. The only way to open a new tab is by hitting one of the buttons on the top that normally show the history. When I press the + button either nothing happens or some Chinese add will load, and that ad takes me to a jd.com link that actually doesn't load. I have tried installing a virus scanner, clearing the cache, and reinstalling, but it didn't help. I am using an oppo find x2 pro and am living in China if that helps.
