I have installed Firefox for Android on my Galaxy S22. When I click on the Firefox icon on my app screen to bring up the app, I get a page with "Firefox Browser" at the top, BUT the blank to enter a web address (that one wants to visit) shows at the left end a Google icon. I try to stay away from Google whenever possible. Whose browser will I be using if I type the desired web address into the described blank: Google or Firefox. If it is, in fact, the Firefox browser, why does it show the Google icon?

I am running Firefox and Duckduckgo on a Samsung Tab A (8.0), model SM-T387V.

Just within the last few weeks there have been blank (white) bars covering part of the search results. This also sometimes appears on a web page.

If I use DuckDuckGo on Chrome it works fine.

What is the problem and how can I fix it? I can't find any support/help on the DuckDuckGo website.

Edit: When I use FireFox with a different search engine it does the same thing. If I use the Chrome browser with DuckDuckgo it works fine.

On some sites that provides video content player is not expanded to the full screen. So I click the 'Enter full screen' button, video is expanded, but not to the full screen - there is a gray stripe on the left (see the screenshot attached). This gray stripe is an area of the screen where all sorts of icons are normally displayed (notifications, watches, battery, etc). This gray stripe looks bad and annoying.

What can I do to make video full screen on all sites?

When tapping in search field of Total Wine website, keyboard appears then disappears before being able to enter anything. So, you're new release for Android is broke right out of the gate. Thanks for not quality checking your new release (cynicism). Haste makes waste. The new release is useless.

Google homepage not loading on my mobile. Done all the recommended things, reboot, restart clear cache, uninstall, reinstall nothing works. My husband then checked his phone and it is not loading on his either. Checked for updates and there are none available. We are running 121.0.1 Any advise or hepl appreciated.

What I can at least confirm is that it's normal on m.youtube.com.

Actually I'm using firefox from so long and I love to use firefox and I feel safe using firefox because it is open source and firefox first priority is privacy but from few weeks I'm observing that duckduckgo app tracking blocks so many tracking attempts from firefox. It's kind of weird. When ever I open firefox, duckduckgo start blocking so many tracking attempts from firefox and as a proof I take screenshots as well. I'm attaching screenshots with this message. Still I love using firefox but also this scared me. Hope I'll get a better explanation.

Why won't web pages show in dark mode and are still white. So far the only browser I have seen that will also darken a web page is the standard Samsung browser. Love Firefox on my computer but on a tablet the darkening of web pages from the bright white is crucial. How can this be fixed?

Sometimes, Firefox 114.2.0 for Android suddenly stops rendering pages or loading new pages.

• Try to search: instantly stops loading, completely white tab, address bar content changes to search
• Try to enter an address directly: doesn’t load, completely white tab, address bar contents stay the same
• Force quitting and reloading doesn’t change anything
• Clearing cache doesn’t change anything
• Clearing data fixes the problem, at the cost of losing all home-screen customization, extensions, and search engine customization, which aren’t synced with the Firefox account

The android does not work anymore, it happened last week. I have reinstalled the app but that does not work. In the image is an example what I see when I try to open a webpage. The webpage won't begin with loading.

Firefox on Android is great, but you can't move your shortcuts, edit the URL for them or sync them with desktop.

Am I missing something? Since it's easy to do this very basic thing that most other browser's have by default?

I can't find an answer to this, and if it's by design, then why? It makes no sense to not have a basic feature like this in a browser.

I mistakenly uninstalled Firefox, then reboored and reinstalled it. How do I recover my saved passwords?

I tried going to the Data folder, but there is only 1 folder there, "export messages", for an app that lets me print out or save existing text messages .

So, new phone and FF upgraded, now when I download there is no indication that my file is actually downloading, either on the phone status bar or in FF downloads. Is there somewhere I should be looking to see if a file is "currently" downloading?

I'm getting a black screen while trying to view VR videos from Firefox Mobile.

I've tried VR videos from Chrome Mobile and it works fine there. It also works fine on Firefox Desktop.

So, only Firefox Mobile is having issues with VR videos for some reason.

Hello. I have the most recent update for Android Firefox. Suddenly I can not watch videos because it says my JavaScript is off. I have not done anything to change any settings. And I am unable to get into "About:Config" to change anything. The version of Android Firefox is 117.0. I would appreciate a response as soon as possible. Thank you so much. I recently bought a new phone. I have a total of three. The first two are semi-retired. They have aging operating systems and are no longer updatable. But I use them as wireless extension devices. About two hours ago, I installed and attempted to access Firefox search engine. I didn't remember the password. So I created a new one. That was successful. But then I had to enter a verification code. I did so and now there is a significant delay. This is in my new phone. Operating on Android 13. I'm accessing Firefox on one of my retired phones which are linked via WiFi to my new phone.

So, WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?????

I have a total of three devices, all with Firefox. Only one device has a sim card that is registered and subscribed.

On the moble browser for android I can't get websites to change from being in dark mode. I have made sure dark mode is off on the browser and the system. I have tested the same sites on other browsers to make sure it was not the sites. The browser and system are up to date.
