Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) SM-T380 Android version: 9 Firefox 115.0.1 Only Addon is ublock origin

I've had this problem for months now, but it was never as bad as it has become now on the latest Firefox 115.0.1 Android release. The issue would (seemingly) mainly occur on text heavy websites, like Wikipedia, but it never disrupted me enough to file a report until now. It's now happening on practically every website I can visit.

Basically, huge 'blocks' of websites will be 'blanked out', and the only way to potentially work around this is to pinch zoom until these 'blocks' get out of the way of the text/page elements they're obscuring. This isn't consistent however, so you can't reliably just pinch to zoom to a perfect level to have the page render all the way correctly, the 'blocks' will simply move to obscure other parts as you're zooming and trying to fix whichever specific portion of the screen you want to see properly.

So far I've tried disabling ublock origin for pages this was occurring on, clearing the program cache, restarting my phone, clearing all browser cache/history, toggling the different Accessibility options pertaining to page zoom, and none of these things have worked at all.

I've attached some screenshots of how this looks when zooming in. Other browsers (the Samsung browser, specifically) don't have this issue on this tablet, and I saw one google play store Firefox app review with my same device also mention having a similar sounding issue.

Anyone have any idea what the issue could be? If more screenshots from a different website are needed, or if I should have posted this elsewhere, please let me know.

Recently firefox for android mobile stopped allowing me to take screenshots. I get the error msg in the subject line when pressing the volume down and screen sleep/wake button. Is there a setting I can change?

Here is the video. You can see endless loading of website and in same time I can open it in other browser. Have same issue in two different Samsung Galaxy phones

On the moble browser for android I can't get websites to change from being in dark mode. I have made sure dark mode is off on the browser and the system. I have tested the same sites on other browsers to make sure it was not the sites. The browser and system are up to date.

Why, when I click on a URL while using Firefox on my Android phone, is it always invoked in the address field via google.com? I get that Android is Google, but does anyone know a way to disable this totally unnecessary, and privacy-destroying, functionality?

Hello, This is the second time all open tabs were closed after a update. What the hell! In the past there were never that kind of problem. You don't know how much work that is for to reopen all tabs again. Why does that happen?

This is a new issue that just started occuring this month Nov/2023. Firefox for Android has suddenly developed an issue where instead of saving to the download folder and renaming the file with (1), (2), etc. It will save to a random folder and overwrite an existing file with the same name.

Noticed occuring on ebay images because they have the same naming structure.

Greetings FF Community, New Samsung Galaxy S9 Ultra tablet running FF ver 127.02 on Android 14. Have no option to customize toolbar or even add the File Menu to the top of Firefox as other resources in Firefox indicate. Using a Finite bluetooth keyboard, ALT key does nothing, using bluetooth mouse right click on empty space in address bar - no context menu appears, enabled in mouse settings. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Screen shots below of laptop and S9 Ultra. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running latest Android update and latest Firefox update. I set Firefox as my default browser. I have un-installed all updates for Samsung Internet and removed all permissions for it. Disabling it is greyed out. Some apps that I use have links to websites. Too frequently, when I go to one of those links, the intro screen for Samsung Internet opens. Then, when I look at the settings in Firefox it is no longer set as the default. Then I set Firefox to default and go to my phone settings to see that Firefox is selected as the default. If I open the previously mentioned app and choose the web link, Firefox will open. But somewhere along the way, the default changes back to Samsung Internet and it's a vicious circle. I have posted in a Samsung forum but haven't gotten a reply that solved the problem. Please help. The + button in the menu that normally opens a new tab doesn't work anymore. The only way to open a new tab is by hitting one of the buttons on the top that normally show the history. When I press the + button either nothing happens or some Chinese add will load, and that ad takes me to a jd.com link that actually doesn't load. I have tried installing a virus scanner, clearing the cache, and reinstalling, but it didn't help. I am using an oppo find x2 pro and am living in China if that helps.

Home screen might be considered a specialized bookmark I suppose but the categories don't directly apply above. Browsers for decades have allowed a custom Url to be entered or "use current page" as home screen. I can find no option under firefox settings for Android enter it. What's the trick?

I picked last tab but that isn't the same as a fixed URL such as my bank website or Facebook page I would always want to see first.
