text inflation as a desktop-to-mobile-view conversion doesn't work, and can never be fixed. it will always either fail to make important parts of websites readable, or completely unhinge them.

opera mini, opera mobile(now classic) and opera for android show how well "text reflow" works for desktop pages on mobile devices. before the opera mobile EOL I never needed mobile versions of pages.

firefox for android already has a text reflow feature, but it is hidden away and unusable because of 2 easily fixable problems. 1. "text inflation", it's completely unnecessary to require enlarged text in order to reflow but with this feature disabled(text to smallest size) there is no reflow. 2. "fixed zoom", currently double-tap zooming will always put the text fullscreen(which on a desktop layout is still too small) a "fixed zoom" option that always zooms a set % regardless of where you double-tap should allow zooming in to a level where text is readable and should force "text reflow" to reflow text to screen-width.

so why are we still stuck with either messy or unreadable text on desktop pages?

I just started using Firefox and firefox sync. I imported my bookmarks from chrome to Firefox on my pc just fine. I downloaded the app and signed into my sync account and I can't get my bookmarks on mobile. All help is greatly appreciated

While browsing, if I long-click a hyperlink and select "Open in a new tab" from the ensuing menu, even though it opens the tab it also follows the hyperlink in the original tab. How do I prevent it from opening the link in my current tab?

got upgraded to ff android 31 and saw that tools menu item 'save as pdf' had disappeared. manually downgraded to vn 30 and option was there. Therefore I presume disappearance was related to version upgrade - however I see no mention of this specific issue in firefox buglist or elsewhere

I use ff on two other Android devices and two windows pc's with no problems. I bought a new phone and I have been unable to sync in any way. Every time I try something new, ff views my sync attempt as a new account.

I'm trying to find out how to organize my bookmarks (sort, organize, create folders etc.). using Firefox for Android. Is there a way to do this that is similar to how you organize bookmarks in the regular Firefox application for PC? So far I can't find a Help article describing details on how to organize bookmarks, create bookmark folders, etc. using the Android app. (I'm using a Samsung Galaxy s4 with latest version+updates of Android OS, and latest version+updates of Firefox for Android.) Whenever I view a video page on YouTube, when I click the play icon, the YouTube app on my phone opens. How can I configure it to play directly in Firefox? I could only find questions about how to configure it the other way around...

If a friend or a page I have 'liked' posts a link to another website on the newsfeed I often don't have the option to share. Just like or comment. If I go to the Facebook app the same post has the option to share. I am trying to use Facebook in Firefox so that I don't need the Facebook app.

Since running Samsung update, Firefox Android crashes everytime I run it. It worked fine before update. Chrome works fine. I'm using a Galaxy Tab S 10.5 32GB + 64GB microSD
