I downloaded some Mozilla apps last week, apps that control mainly privacy plus Dark Screen. The next day I attempted to log in to my bank account and I couldn't. I got a message saying that Java Script was needed. This is very confusing because I did not knowingly disable Java script. I tried my other bank and got same message. I tried to log in using my Duck Duck Go browser and everything worked as it should. So how did this happen? I'm trying to figure out your instructions on how to enable Java script again, but can't find the menu for my Firefox browser. Sorry but I'm not tech savvy!

When the find in page bar is visible, the user is unable to scroll to reveal the URL bar. This violates user expectations. If the user has the URL bar at top, the user experience is even worse, as the eye is drawn to the expected URL bar.

When i try to update Firefox on Android, it tries to "stage" an unknown app, and crashes. Then a pop up saying "Action not allowed" shows up. Please do help as i cannot sync since i am on a EOL version of Firefox mobile

Hi I have a problem where a website wants me to login. I think one of these events is happening: Either the browser logs in but doesnt wait long enough to do so, Or skips the login and goes to a default screen...not sure which, but the result is the same. I can hit back to the login but when i click login, same thing happens. Takes a dozen trys and maybe i get lucky... Thanks, Bryan

Recently discovered a white bar that appears to the right side of a video playing or at the bottom. This bar use to be black, now it's white. As if video is not entirely going full screen.

I want to always see the android navigation bar and the bar with time/battery. For some time now (days?) the browser's behavior when I click myself into a tab from the tab menu has been to switch to the tab and hide system bars and only leave the FF toolbar. I have to press on the address bar and back out to the tab with the system button to have them stay.

How do I force keep system bars while browsing in FF97?

I've noticed a weird issue that might just be from a bad assumption, idk.

Have Firefox on Android logged in and all. Also have FF on an iPad, I've changed my password so the FF account is disconnected and I need to redo the login. Understandable.

So I go to log in on the iPad, and decide to go the QR route. Supposed to open firefox.com/pair on the device that is logged in, cool. But when I do that on the Android Firefox, I get forwarded to the Unsupported page. Even if I request the desktop site.

I get it, the usual assumption is that if the phone is trying to open that page, they might be trying to log in on the phone but doing it wrong. But am I correct that there's no way to force the phone to make the code instead so I can pair a second mobile device?

Selecting share tab to device to send a tab to my desktop never seems to work, nothing happens and I can't find the tab I sent.

Sending in the opposite direction from desktop to my phone works fine though so I'm not sure what's wrong?

Hi, I had around 6,500 tabs open in my Firefox on Android v97.2.0. Unfortunately I decided to check how close all tabs works. All my tabs were closed without showing any confirmation warning. And the pop-up to undo seemed to animate in and out without leaving any chance to press it.

I don't know why Firefox keeps making these bad interface decisions. Please treat our tabs with more importance. Regardless of whether someone has 65 or 6,500 tabs open, the close all tabs button should not lose them so easily. And you place close all tabs right under the recently closed tabs button. Close all tabs should be hidden in tab settings, not openly accessible to make a mess. If you insist on keeping it out in the main menu, please ask twice and warn about the number of tabs which will be closed.

I have another idea, for which I have sent feedback and nobody seems to have read it. I think if a Firefox user is signed into Firefox sync, app their open tabs should be actively saved to bookmarks as they open and close them. This way I should have a folder of open tabs from Android and desktop. And that should have its own failsafe where it shouldn't just sync an accidental close all tabs action.

Please bring these ideas to the attention of the people who fix bugs or design new features for future releases. I may not check this support request too often as I may end up opening 100s more tabs in the next few weeks.

Please make it easier to submit feedback on Firefox for Android. And please take this request seriously. Firefox is approaching v100 and you still make it so easy for people to lose hundreds and thousands of tabs with one click. You seriously need to go back to basics and first respect our open tabs. Prevent them from being accidentally or purposely closed. If I have 6,500 tabs open, when I close all, the undo button should display for 6,500 seconds. Scale it up so I can recover it easier.

Better would have been if you had spent time adding a simple confirmation dialog which asks am I sure I want to close thousands of tabs.

Next, Firefox needs to make a tab system which is like Google Docs combined with Firefox sync for open tabs. Don't just show open tabs synced across devices. Any device can be lost or have close all tabs initiated. Go one step further and have a living automatic bookmark system so that every device feeds into my Firefox account. This way I could have all tabs automatically bookmarked and saved and at least have them accessible if things go wrong.

And this support page should be smart enough not to lose everything I've typed here. Pressing back should not wipe this text box.

Please start designing Firefox to be smarter and actually preserve my tabs and browsing session. Either don't close tabs so easily or automatically bookmark open tabs so even if my phone falls into a lake, I can go home, open Firefox on my laptop and see my open tabs from my phone saved as a folder. Once I get a new phone, Firefox should offer to restore that browsing session of open tabs from that saved folder. This is where you could integrate close tabs automatically for anyone who wants to keep their open tabs and bookmarked open tabs clean and tidy of old tabs.

Going forward I hope you will test Firefox better with people who keep hundreds and thousands of tabs open. Also each stable release in future should work towards my idea of asking confirmation before possibly doing something stupid like closing all 6,500 tabs without checking I'm sure I want to do that. Hopefully that should be possible with one release.

And then over a few releases, please make live open tabs automatic bookmarks a reality. I'm quite sad now that I've lost 6,500+ tabs I had saved to read later, over the last 3 years

Hello team, I have been using FF for longer than a year on Android (10) and for several years now on PC and I am very happy with that. Untill recently, I was able to access my stored passwords by unlocking my screen but then, something went wrong and I am unable to sort it out not knowing if this is due to an upgrade of FF, or Android or something else. Now, when I try to access my stored passwords, FF shows me my unlock screen for a tenth of a second, then completely crashes. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, but to no avail. I have also tried to disconnect and reconnect and erase cache memory. Would someone have any idea ? I am using FF 97.2.0 (Build #2015863827), fc8bbf84c+ AC: 97.0.12, ce42514f73 GV: 97.0.1-20220216172458 AS: 87.1.0

When I am finished with a tab and close it, and then close down Firefox app, when I click back into Firefox the tabs that I have closed are still there open. How can I stop this from happening without having to "quit" and clear cache etc all the time? Surely when you close a tab it should stay closed?

When I open Firefox (it doesn't metter is it new fresh open or resume application) last open card is compleatly blank. When I start typing in adressbar or paste link in it and click to load Firefox is loading page but card is still blank. I have to close card and open new. My phone is Samsung s20+

Why does the app icon on my phone show a red dot, I can't find anything within settings to get rid of it. Presumably it's some sort of notification but it's not much use if I can't find out what it's notifying me about!

Being forced to open to Firefox version of a homepage is a bad move by mozilla for its Android version. I am now using Chrome as it let's me do that.

Is there any reason why the left hand panel of icons displayed by the share menu is missing all of the icons' text labels on my S6 tablet, even including the header "Recently Used"? The icons on the right, grouped with the header "All actions" have them as expected. Also my phone groups the left hand panel icons as "Recently Used" and they change, unlike on my tablet where they are fixed.

Any ideas why the display is different on the tablet?

Certain websites are getting sent to a search engine rather than being accepted as a URL.

This seems to happen most often with sites that have something other than a www prefix (for example, dvd.netflix.com) or sites with an odd format (for example, http://attwirelessinternet to access my router), regardless of whether I prepend https:// to the URL. This causes delays when the network is busy, as I must wait a minute or two for the search engine to load; in the worst cases, navigation becomes impossible if it is a page not indexed by search engines.

I though I could work around this by adding a blank search provider to the list of options -- for example, entering HTTPS under Name and https://&s under "Search string to use," but Firefox won't accept this.

Is there a way to force Firefox to accept a string as a URL without disabling the search bar function, or to manually edit a config file somewhere to force it to accept my workaround?

I am unable to copy text from youtube comments when viewing videos in Firefox browser for Android. Long pressing doesn't work. I am able to copy YT comments in other browsers such as Opera, DuckGo, Chrome and the Adblock Plus browser.

Someone recommended using an add-on called Universal Copy but it has bad reviews and I don't understand why an add-on is necessary for such a basic task.

Why is it not possible to do this in Firefox browser but possible in the other browsers? How do I copy YT comment text when using Firefox browser to watch YT videos?

I would like to suggest some improvements to history, in particular searching, viewing history, and following history links.

I would like it if history were searchable separately from other searches. For example, I am looking for something that I know I viewed yesterday, so I don't need to do an internet search or a bookmark search, but can find it in my history - but that's a lot of links to review.

When viewing history and long-pressing an item, the application selects the link rather than giving you the context menu which would allow opening that link in a new tab. Granted, one can access the menu at the top right to open in a new tab, it's just a different application pattern and takes more steps for the user.

When following a link from history, there is no way to get back to history. I would expect the behavior to be similar to any other page, where the back button not only places you on the appropriate page but it places you at the correct location within that page. As is, history is only marginally useful.
