Yes i tapped sync and on my mac's firefox, the android device is not even shown .. i can see my windows firefox there and see open tabs from there but not from android

why doens't android firefox sync ?

Cant sign in to scan code to sync devices.

I will be 99 years old trying to do what you say i must but there is no sign in

I think Firefox would be great if i ever somehow manage to go here do this do that.

And I CANT SUBMIT THIS with tapping the SUBMIT KEY 50 times so far

Hello everyone, my name is Francesco and I have a big problem that I can't solve in any way! I just can’t seem to solve a synchronization issue between two Firefox 135.0.1 (64-bit) installations on a Laptop and a PC (both running Linux Mint 22) and a Firefox 135.0.1 (Build #2016074239) on Android. Can someone please help me? I'm desperate!

Let’s start from the beginning: For a very long time, every time I connected to the internet with Firefox on my Laptop or mobile, my bookmarks would get completely messed up: folders duplicated endlessly, some empty, others identical to the original ones. The same happened with the bookmarks themselves: separators almost all moved to the bottom and multiple duplicates of my countless bookmarks.

After several failed attempts following posts from other users who had the same or a similar problem, as well as some Firefox support how-tos, I decided to try a different approach, which was also described in a post.

First, after logging out of my account on all three devices, I backed up my bookmarks from my PC in different formats (.html, .json), and after closing Firefox, I also backed up the cookies.sqlite, favicons.sqlite, and places.sqlite files—just in case! Then, I deleted all folders and bookmarks from the other two devices.

I then spent the whole afternoon cleaning up my bookmarks on the PC: removing duplicates and redundant folders, organizing separators and bookmarks the way I wanted, and making new backups as mentioned above. After that, I logged into my account from my mobile, triggered a sync from there, then logged into the other devices and started the synchronization on them as well.

But it didn’t work. 😞

PC and Laptop synced beautifully, everything was perfect, but the mobile, despite showing that it was syncing, remained empty—and still is.

I tried several forced sync methods as suggested in some Firefox how-tos (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1482205 and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-set-firefox-sync-firefox-android), and I also followed procedures from other posts where users had similar issues, but nothing worked.

I even tried different approaches: logging out and back in first with my PC, then with my mobile; replacing all bookmarks with the ones I had exported in good condition; checking if there was a new update on Google Play. But my mobile remains completely empty—no bookmarks at all.

So, after more than four hours of trial and error, I'm losing my mind 🤯, and I’m also getting seriously exhausted (it’s now 2 AM, and I’ve been up since 5 AM!).

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? A plugin? A folder on the mobile where I can manually place the saved files? Maybe a well-aimed hammer strike in a specific spot on the phone? Anything? At this point, even just a good joke might help me get through the frustration. 😜

Now, I just hope I can get some sleep—I’m so stressed that… 😭

I reinstalled the Firefox app on my android phone and I am not able to sync the phone now with my account info and bookmarks. Scanning the barcode to sync from my phone does not work. It does not respond at all. Manually entering my email and password does not work either as it says I have the incorrect password when inputting the code sent by email.

When attempting to sync my data on my android device it doesn't do anything. I'm currently in the account settings on my phone and when I hit "sync now" it just does nothing.

My bookmarks have disappeared/ not transferred to my android phone, recently bought,

BUT, they have also disappeared off my computer which i have owned for more than five years.

Both are showing that I am signed into my account.

Hi! I'm currentley switching over to fire fox and I am trying to sync my bookmarks from my laptop to my mobile phone. When I click "connect another device" in the settings, I get the pop up telling me to find "sync and save data" I hit the three dots at the top right of the mobile app and don't get the option at all. Thanks.

Every time I install Firefox and try to synchronise data it says open the hamburger menu and tap synchronise and save data. I have never found the synchronise and save data setting. It is not apparently visible when you touch the hamburger menu. So where is it hiding? I've never been able to find it?

Collections bookmarks on the Firefox for Android homepage. I have Firefox sync. I have many regular bookmarks. Collections bookmarks from Android or obviously not available or synced with my Firefox for desktop. Are they synced or backed up at all anywhere? I cannot find them other than inside Collections. If I uninstall Firefox on my Android, Google Pixel phone and reinstall it will everything in the homepage collections be lost?

syncing bookmarks between Android Mobile and desktop through shared Mozilla account, but the bookmarks from mobile aren't appearing on the desktop. I can see that both devices are logged in, but cannot see bookmarks being shared.

Firefox 135 on Linux (Ubuntu) and latest Firefox on Android. All sync items are checked. Passwords sync, and bookmarks toolbar syncs, but not bookmarks in folders appear - they're just not there.

Because the bookmarks toolbar is synced it confirms that Bookmarks are checked under sync on both devices.

Trying to sync my samsung to my windows PC and there is no "sync and save data" button. I went to my account and to sync settings and then pressed "sync now", but still nothing happened

I am unable to send tabs from my desktop devices to Firefox on my Android device.

- All devices are logged into Firefox Sync. - Sending tabs from Android to desktop works fine. - Attempting to send a tab from desktop to Android, nothing happens. Have tried with multiple different tabs from multiple desktop devices, it never makes it to my Android device. - Synced tabs works fine. I can see the open tabs on all my devices from all my other devices, and it stays up to date. - Have tried logging out of sync and logging back in. Didn't fix the issue.

Desktop devices are running Firefox v146.0.1 on Windows Android device is running v146.0.1 on Android 16 (Pixel 8 Pro)

please, there isnt a "sync and save your data" option!! there is no qr scanner or use email instead prompt. just that MOCKING little "sync now" in account settings that does nothing!! PLEASE

I accidentally deleted my Firefox account on my Windows laptop and lost all my data. However, my Samsung S24 still shows my data, although it indicates that the last sync was on March 6. How can I sync my laptop with my mobile phone to recover the data from my phone? When I click "Sync Now" on my phone, nothing happens. Thank you.

I recently switched to Linux and have been having trouble getting my bookmarks from my android device to sync to my desktop (Linux Mint). I have bookmarks enabled on the sync menu on both platforms, but I can't get them to sync over to my desktop from mobile at all; my only current option would be to painstakingly open them one-by-one from my desktop sync with the open tabs viewer (as I can't open all open tabs at once on Linux Firefox for some reason).

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just to tell me that this feature doesn't work on Linux.

We just got a mew desktop and I want to sync by android phone Firefox to the desktop so I can retain my bookmarks, passwords, and tabs. I have synced between my phone and my old desktop with no problem. But now when I try to sync my phone to the desktop, all my sync options are greyed out and it won't let me select anything?

Deleted the app then reinstall it and logged in but there's no passwords no bookmarks no collections no nothing, Is there absolutely no way to recover my old bookmarks and passwords?

Tried looking through the topics but didn't find an answer

What's the point of having to sign in and make an account if everything going to disappear just because I deleted the app and then reinstall it?
