I uninstalled the app and re installed it after that there is no icon on the app drawer nor in the home screen. I have to open the app every time through play store. I have attempted to fix it myself by uninstalling and re installing to thinking its temporary a glitch but icon stills doesn't appear anywhere. It doesn't even get shown in app drawer search results when i search for Firefox. I have further cleared device cache using builtin cleaner app provided within the device. Also restarted my device nothing worked

Firefox is working in background and draining the battery. That what I see in battery usage information. I have tried to limit and stopped Firefox but it is still on the top of battery usage.

I have a Blackview Tab16 (10" screen), which I bought last year; it was running Firefox quite happily until a couple of months ago. Now when I click on the icon, I get a sort of 'welcome' screen (with some message about a search widget?) for a fraction of a second, then FF closes and I get an error message saying 'Sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed.' The version of FF is 126.0. I was told to try clearing the cache, but there is nothing there to clear! The tablet is running Android 12 / DoKe OS V3.0.

I have an 8" Blackview tablet which - despite needing to be plugged in to run all the time! - opens & runs Firefox perfectly happily. It's my main browser on my MacBook as well, and will run on my iPhone.

I'm having the same issue as previously posted below. I am on a Google pixel 7 pro.

"On youtube mobile site or a reddit video, when I click the bottom right button to fullscreen the video, a message pops up that says 'entering fullscreen mode' (with a firefox logo on the left of the message) and then firefox closes and I'm at my android home page

This seems to happen when I watch videos in a new instance. If I reopen firefox to the video and then try fullscreen again, it goes full screen no problem. So basically it's annoying and happens when I try to watch any video full screen for the first time.

Is this a known bug? Wasn't an issue on my old phone (I just got the galaxy s23). "

When I put a video or an image gallery to full screen, the navigation buttons, clock, and status bar don't hide.

They often appear as though they're going to hide, for a split second, but frustratingly bounce right back into view.

On rare occasions, it seems to be random chance, the status bar, clock, and navigation buttons do hide, but I don't know how to get them to hide every time.

I've already tried disabling picture in picture for the app but that has not helped.

What are the reasons the buttons and clock would not hide in full screen? How would we go about fixing things?

In Android 14 oneUI 6.0 i have an issue while i download, the progress of download doesn't show up, i have checked everything but only the Firefox notification of private search shows up, plus when it is downloading the file i have problems when browsing, like when i use the keyboard The keyboard automatically closes and doesn't allows me to type I don't know if i explain myself clear enough

A recent update has broken the ability to upload images. I am on a Pixel 7. Firefox has full rights. I tried clearing cache. It is not a particular website. This one for instance, allows the option of uploading images to attach.to my question and it doesn't work. Hoping someone has a fix so I can keep using the browser.

The application will freeze without opening the section and after a while will say 'Firefox not responding' before crashing.

as described, send tab function does not work one way (android to PC), but works fine from PC to android mobile phone/tablet. the pop-up error is the "Unable to send - RETRY", and pressing 'RETRY' doesn't do anything. I am logged in to the mozilla account on both android devices, and firefox sync/syncing tabs work fine. not sure what's the issue

I can't remember when this problem started, but the volume dips down for maybe 1-2 seconds shortly after the start of anything with sound, like YouTube videos and MP3s embedded in a website. On the same phone with Chrome, the problem does not happen.

for a recent update or two, when I am watching videos in fullscreen, at least like me, for example, when I entered fullscreen, the video should play horizontally, but after merely half a minute, the screen orientation goes back to vertical mode automatically, which is not happening when I began to use Firefox android months ago. Watching same website on different browsers, only Firefox goes wrong, so I think this should be Firefox's bug.

When I click on a web push notification in Firefox on Android, the link in the notification does not open. If no page is previously open in the browser, a blank tab appears. If another page is open, that page is displayed.

Listening to audiobooks made me notice this problem, often whilst my phone is turned off and the audiobook is playing in the background on a tab on firefox the audio would just stop and i would find either that firefox was still open but unloaded all the tabs, or that it simply crashed. I thought this was a thing that solely happened when playing audio in the background but then i noticed that it is actually a general problem when firefox is kept open in the background. It doesnt happen after a set amount of time, sometimes it happens immediately, sometimes after like 10 minutes that it is kept in the background. How can i fix this? its very annoying.

Formatted my phone but playing videos still lags and stutters on Firefox browser on my Samsung. Only happens on Firefox, I've tested on Qwant, Duckduckgo and Brave and this problem doesn't occur. What might be the problem and solution?

It's interesting that sometimes the video plays fine until I unmute it. Sometimes the problem goes away after I stop and play or refresh the page. I often have to play the video on a different browser.

So, videos work fine on other browsers so I discart being a phone problem. But on my other phone this problem doesn't happen with firefox.

I've been for several months looking for help/answer/fix for this issue. And I've been with firefox for ever and I don't mind minor bugs and problems but this is starting to be a bit annoying and more and more I feel like I need to move on to a new browser.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running latest Android update and latest Firefox update. I set Firefox as my default browser. I have un-installed all updates for Samsung Internet and removed all permissions for it. Disabling it is greyed out. Some apps that I use have links to websites. Too frequently, when I go to one of those links, the intro screen for Samsung Internet opens. Then, when I look at the settings in Firefox it is no longer set as the default. Then I set Firefox to default and go to my phone settings to see that Firefox is selected as the default. If I open the previously mentioned app and choose the web link, Firefox will open. But somewhere along the way, the default changes back to Samsung Internet and it's a vicious circle. I have posted in a Samsung forum but haven't gotten a reply that solved the problem. Please help. Firefox is very dear to me. I use it on my computer all the time for how much more relatively secure it is from other browsers. But Android version is a hellish nightmare. When I open the app, even with no previous tabs on, it will not be responsive for more than 30-45 seconds for seemingly no reason. Same thing when I kill the app and start it again. If it does have open tabs, it will either not be able to fetch their sum number to be displayed on the top right corner until that aforementioned timespan passes, and/or I wont be able to remove/add tabs until again that period of time passes! This is a blocking issue that's been there for well over a year and a half, if not longer!
