Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running latest Android update and latest Firefox update. I set Firefox as my default browser. I have un-installed all updates for Samsung Internet and removed all permissions for it. Disabling it is greyed out. Some apps that I use have links to websites. Too frequently, when I go to one of those links, the intro screen for Samsung Internet opens. Then, when I look at the settings in Firefox it is no longer set as the default. Then I set Firefox to default and go to my phone settings to see that Firefox is selected as the default. If I open the previously mentioned app and choose the web link, Firefox will open. But somewhere along the way, the default changes back to Samsung Internet and it's a vicious circle. I have posted in a Samsung forum but haven't gotten a reply that solved the problem. Please help. I'm so annoyed by these notifications for utterly random websites / "news" that started after a recent update (see attached screenshot). I don't want these, bit also don't want to turn off notifications altogether. Thank you!

I am using Samsung S23 with the latest One UI and Android 14. Samsung's built-in browser has a neat feature where you can open YouTube or Reddit links in the apps installed on the device instead of viewing them in the mobile version of the website in the browser. I assume that Firefox has the same functionality called "Open links in apps" in the settings, but I tried all the available options and neither YouTube or Reddit links are automatically opened in their respective apps, nor is there a button anywhere to force them to open in the apps. Am I doing or assuming something wrong, or is this a bug?

I have started using a Tablet yesterday.

I want to have Firefox on the home page but not know how to do that.

At the presence every time I want to open Firefox I had have go to app and click Firefox to open it...it is not like smart phone I could just open Firefox in home page.

Can you give me the instructions?

I'm wondering why FF doesn't have something built into the browser that will resize text when you zoom in. Right now, if I zoom in on text, it DOES get larger, but then it also goes outside the edges of the browser so that I have to constantly scroll left and right to read the article I did come across an add on, but come on. This is something basic that should be build into the browser:

I'm trying to set my DNS settings in Firefox Nightly to a custom service. But i am having nothing but problems.

"Firefox Nightly 128.0a1 (Build #2016025199)"

I want to use one of these settings for the secured w/ECS:Malware blocking, DNSSEC Validation, ECS enabled.

My only problem is I'm not sure which format of the address options I should be inputting in the DNS settings in the about:config

Please help.

P S. Yes I know I can set a custom DNS address in the connections settings of my android device. And it works most of the time. I however want my own settings in the browser itself.

If you fix it ill willingly fix my rating on google play because i thought mozilla was better than chrome but then i need to open the side bar for it to redirect to whatsapp otherwise it wont help[a bit and you'll se a whatsapp icon]

I'm using Firefox latest version 128.0, device language was set to Japanese but I set Firefox 's language to English (United Kingdom) or English US. However, if I press home button (the Android button) to go back to home screen (the Android main home screen), or rotaing firefox window, firefox will ignore set language (english) and now set to follow device language (Japanese) however, if you go to menu -> settings, language (言語 gengo, language) it was checked to english uk. I dont know what happened?

I clicked the email I wished to read on my 11 year old Samsung ph and off we went to Firefox - BUT I got a face full of Facebook, with no sign of Firefox which appeared to have been pushed off the cliff. I don't have an FB app on my ph I have never used FB on any of my devices - I am much too old and busy with many more important things.

took me a while to find this page - thanks to my incurable bone marrow cancer I sometimes feel like I am and demented ancient. [thankfully most of the time I am coherent and sort of normal -but my whole life was upended when I was diagnosed a few years ago. the number of things this disease can do to one are quite astounding so I'm always looking for news surrounding Multiple Myeloma, as it is called.]

Don't cram unwanted "features" like trending searches. Anything I want to search for I type in. What others search for I do want to see or be bothered with. Your how-to does not work to disable it. I want my search window in the center, it is my phone, my eyes, don't fugg with it.

Since I have been using Firefox Android from S7 Edge to this S23+ it will not follow system settings for dark mode. If I set it to light mode it's always in light mode. if I set it to dark mode it stays in dark mode, no matter what the system setting.
