In either standard Firefox, when I watch Youtube videos, roughly 1% of battery charge is used per minute of viewing, i.e. if I watch 20 minutes of a video, my charge has gone down 20%. Is there something I can do to fix this besides getting rid of Firefox?

Firefox for iPadOS tabs are periodically gone when I launch the app. History and recently closed are still there, so I can reopen them, but it’s a pain to have to keep doing it!

Since the last update (123.4) I have this behavior in both iPadOS and iOS: when there's a link that opens in a new tab, most of the time the new tab will open an about:blank page instead of the actual link.

I noticed this happens as I use the browser more: if I force close it and reopen it, the links will usually load OK for the first 1-4 sites, but after a period (or loading a "heavy" site la Facebook) I can reproduce the error 90% of the time.

Happens on iPad Air 3 and iPhone 13 mini.

"ios homepage settings" (benisjesus2003 9/13/21, 10:44 AM) and "How to open iOS Firefox on blank home page" (miggy.ad 9/16/21, 5:57 PM), both started discussions regarding the use of "about:blank" and seeing a blank page when Firefox iOS opens. There really was not a solution provided. I've a work around for the time being and would like to know if anyone else has a better solution because "about:blank" has been a favorite homepage, Opening Screen, ...etc. Start with the 3 horizontal bars in the bottom right corner. Select {Settings} and {Homepage} is selected, the first setting is [OPENING SCREEN]. Set this to {Homepage}. Scroll down to [CURRENT HOMEPAGE] and type "https://www.blank.org" into {Custom URL}. To save the entry, touch {Firefox Home} just above the entry. The results while not the same as "about:blank" are very similar. If anyone else has a better solution, please post it here. (Please keep any replies positive to we can share ideals and solutions in the common forum.)

Every time I do a Google search in Firefox, a popup from Google appears suggesting that I change my browser to Chrome. It ignores my previous answers of “No thanks.” How can I block that? I already have the popup blocker turned on in Firefox.

I have tried to reinstall the application, but it doesn't seem to work. Whenever I start again to sync my account in Firefox for iOS it begins to stop unexpectedly; after 2 to 3 seconds that I reopen the browser, it asks if I want to restore the previous (empty) session and then - without any input from me - it crashes again. I've tried everything, but seems that nothing works after syncronization. Present configuration: iOS 16.1.1 iPhone 13 firefox for iOS: version 107.2

I am confused: why can I add articles on iOS to a Reading list which I cannot read on Dekstop since there's no Reading list only Pocket. Or am I missing something?

About five years ago, had to transition to iPhone

The best solution was Lockwise for managing passwords, retaining cross platform support using firefox sync

In the last week or so Lockwise started automatically logging me out at least every day. This is extremely annoying and frustrating.

I would ditch lockwise, however it is the only solution to get Firefox sync passwords on iOS

Please advise - that seems like a bug in Lockwise that was recently introduced as a regression

It seems like Firefox password is not supported as a source in Firefox yet either on iPhone otherwise I would switch to that

Wenn ich den Firefox Browser starte und surfe und nach einigen Sekunden hängt sich der ganze Browser einfach so auf! Wenn ich Firefox dann schließe und wieder öffne dann wird mir das Firefox Logo ein paar Sekunden angezeigt und dann wird die eigentliche Webseite geladen die vorher sich aufgehängt hat. I wanted to use an add on. The site told me I needed to download Firefox, which I thought was odd because I was already using the app. It sent me to the App Store, where I saw I needed to update Firefox. I did so, and went back to the add on page. It was still prompting me to download Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and am still getting the message that I need to download Firefox to use add ones. It gives me the link to the App Store, which only has the ‘open’ option. When I click that, it just sends me back to the page I have open…which tells me to download Firefox from the App Store.

all of my tabs (normal and private) keep closing. they aren't in inactive tabs or synced tabs. i've made sure the app is up to date, i deleted and reinstalled, cleared my cached and nothing has solved this issue.

Hi, is there a way to change the user agent on iOS? The FxiOS part makes the browser way more fingerprint-able than standard safari, even with all the anti-fingerprint settings to the max.

I've seen this asked (and unanswered) previously.

Since there is an option, I want to know what this is. Does that mean all the rest of the stuff in the cache is public? ' What sort of stuff is in private data? Why do I want to (or not want to delete it.)?

I haven't seen this before and haven't seen it on the OSX Version.
