I have just within the last day noticed when I visit one particular news type site that it constantly and consistently redirects me to a spam site telling me my phone is being ransomed or some such nonsense. I have tried incognito mode, I have cleared all personal data and cache and uninstalled Firefox then restarted phone then reinstalled and it keeps happening. I’ve noticed it once in a while with random other sites but it never stuck around this one seems more pervasive. I haven’t installed any new apps recently? I have no idea what to do but am concerned of course something is going on. Please help if you can! Thank you very much

Ever since my IPad updated to iOS 17 I have had issues with Firefox crashing. I currently have iOS17.2 which fixed some other issues but not this issue. When it crashes and I go back in it will ask if I want to restore tabs, if I say no, then I get a new clean tab. However, the next time it crashes (which it will) and it asks to restore tabs, it restores tabs from the first time it crashed, not the current tabs I was on. I have deleted and reinstalled Firefox but it still crashes. And when I say it crashes it does it extensively, every time I go on Firefox. I’m sorry I don’t know the version of Firefox I have nor the operating system.

I've ensured that the website's code is compliant with web standards and optimized for various browsers. However, I'm unsure why this problem persists solely on Firefox for iOS.

‘Pay with PayPal’ functionality on websites is broken for me and has been across updates of both Firefox and iPadOS for as long as I can remember at this point. I’m using an iPadPro running iOS 16.7.2 with Firefox for iOS version 120.4 (36613). When I’m checking out at e-commerce sites (e.g., J Crew), and I click on the PayPal button when selecting a form of payment, a new tab opens, but it’s literally blank — nothing even tries to connect or load. This happens across e-commerce sites. It doesn’t happen with Firefox on my PC/Windows laptop or on my iPad with other browsers (Chrome, Safari). I have tried everything that I can uninstall/reinstall, deactivate, or toggle, and nothing seems to fix this. I have cross-site tracking disabled in iOS. Some people have suggested that websites are not fully supporting Firefox any longer or that there is a problem with Firefox and Apple’s proprietary rendering engine. I’m really at the end of my wits about this. After having used Firefox faithfully since Netscape disappeared, I’m honestly on the verge of giving up. Please help.

Firefox has become basically unusable since the iOS 17.1.2 update. Everything is extremely slow — opening a tab, selecting the address bar, waiting for keyboard to load, typing, loading results etc. Only after the wait at each step to load a web page does it become navigable as long as I stay there and don’t leave to return later. I’m on latest version in app store. Been a Firefox user since my first smartphone and beyond that on a PC. I prefer Firefox, but I downloaded the DuckDuckGo browser just to have something responsive for basic web searches. Please help.

Hi It is impossible to use Firefox on ios 17.2 because it continuously crash. Realle, the issue arise months ago Can you solve the issue or can you send me instructions in order to solve the issue? Regards Mario

I just updated my Firefox web browser app to Version 118 from app store. Since then, the app is not functional at all. Most of my tabs won't load, and the app crashes every time I open it. I am on ios 16.7.

All updates since 117.0 crash when I attempt to launch (iPhone X, iOS 14.3). I've never had any issue with previous updates. Seems like a bug that needs rectifying.

Hello! I’m a bit concerned because firefox has been functioning perfectly fine up to last week, when it started not crashing, but losing the opened sessions. I had many tabs that I would go back to after closing firefox. And then suddenly, when I opened it, there were no tabs at all. This happened again yesterday. And today again. I cannot find the option “restore previous session” like on the computer, so I go to history and manually restore the lost tabs, and of course it isn’t possible to remember everything, so lots are being lost. Could you help me? Many thanks!

I regularly update the app, without any problems.

The latest one (117) causes a startup crash. Can’t access the browser or the settings.

Thank god for jailbreak, I downgraded to the stable 116.4. Cleared web data, rebooted to a non-jailbreak state, updated to 117 and still crashes.

Back to 116.4 until a solution or feedback.

History tab view shows an image of tab value but does nothing when a tab is selected, opens a blank pane. Click-hold on tab thumbnail causes browser to crash. IOS Firefox current versions. iPhone SE 3rd gen.

Webpage freezes randomly recently. Need to close the app manually every time and restart all the searches or type the website afterwards. Please fix the problem. I am using the most updated version of firefox in IOS.

Hello Since the release of 116 for iPhone, my iPhone 8 freezes. I have to switch the phone off and reboot it. Only for it to occur a few minutes later. I know from the comments on the App Store that I’m not the only one.

I’m running iOS 16.6, with around 21GB of free space.

Thanks for your prompt attention. I’m having to use the G**gle app to get round this problem, which doesn’t sit well with me.

Whenever firefox is running in the background waiting to be used, it crashes as soon as i click an external link or open the application from my home screen. Opening the app after not using it for 5 minutes causes the app to freeze, and won’t respond until the app is restarted completely.
